I am not sure if I am liking the Eric hired undocumented workers story. Here in LA, all one has to do is walk to any street corner and with enough cash one could buy a new identity in 10 minutes. That's nothing new. Companies here who hire people with that fake info don't seem to suffer any consequences once they get raided by INS. I would have loved to see some other juicy story from Eric's past.

ITA. I've heard of this s/l and I thought the same thing. The writers could not have come up with any thing more boring. They should have thought of a more shocking s/l than that. I find that this show has a lot more boring times on it than other soaps than I've watched. Just when somethings about to get good they stop it and go to something else that does not interest me.

If they wanted to really wanted to bring Eric to his knees you would think they could have come up with something more starteling than this. Of course immigration is such a hot buttton issue right now maybe they think this will pull in even more veiwers.

i think its a hot button issue but its not something that is going to create the kind of drama that drives a soap. it might be better if one the characters turned out to be an illegal worker or is inlove with one because then we would care but right now its just boring.

I actually like this storyline. Finally something different that doesnt have rick and steffy in the middle of it or brooke and ridge. That went on too long. The other stars of the show havent had much airtime lately and im glad to see that it didnt become the rick and steffy show after all.

Doesn't anyone remember a number of years ago Thorne did the same thing. Not on a big scale but for a woman. I don't remember the whole s/l but I do know when it ended Eric was unhappy with Thorne. Eric was not doing this then. Once again the writers have forgotten the past. Writers on all the soaps seem to think viewers are stupid and have no memory of the soaps past. Loyal viewers don't forgotten easily.

Everyone here has pretty much summed it all up. This was very anticlimactic compared to what Bill Spencer COULD have done to Eric, had someone injected a little imagination.

However, it does give me just one more reason to totally detest and disrespect Eric. It was bad enough that he hooked up with that little "chippy" (as Stephanie put it), Donna Logan and has idly sat and watched the downfall of his lifeblood and business just because yet another Logan gal had it goin' on between the knees.

However, now Eric is hiring and is sympathetic to illegal immigrants. I know this is a controversial issue and there are arguments to both sides, but I am completely against illegals working in our country. They are collecting welfare which they have no right to; interfering with our childrens' education because their children come into classrooms and can't speak English, which handicaps our teachers, as well. And when Eric's illegal employee thanked Eric for making it possible for his kid to have health care and his daughter to get into college, that really infuriated me. Why can't they go through the methods necessary to become legal citizens? They have the brains; the energy. All it takes is a little discipline and studying, and they could live here as legally as the lovely Limey lady who checks out my groceries at Wal-Mart.

I have nothing against any foreigner who wants to be an American citizen...but do it like the folks who came to Ellis Island! If they would work for it, it would be worth so much more.

But I CAN'T STAND much more of Eric Forrester! I am at a point where I am actually wanting to see Bill Spencer take him down. Eric's addiction to hot sex with tarty blondes has GOT to come with some consequences; whether it is going to jail for hiring illegal immigrants, or losing his company AND his hot, sexy, tarty blonde wife to Bill Spencer.

Your wrong it is a major problem that keeps true citizens from getting jobs. People who hire these illegals should be jailed without parole.

We could debate this issue for centuries and still have a difference in opinion.

First of all, history documents that the native indians are the original settlers of this country. Various cultures came and stole from them and settled here. So, that make us all aliens.

However, we have rules, laws and regulations that now dictates who gets to stay and enjoy the freedom and lifestyles of this great country.

The point is there are people willing to risk the lives of themselves and their families to be here. The vast majority of them work their fingers to the bone and is most often under compensated for it. They take meanial jobs and pay that many Americans reject and believe it or not, the money they earn usually supports more than one household.

The show today proves that there are people who value the opportunies and freedom this great country has to offer. Much unlike those who were born here and take this all for granted. It's called trying to realize the American dream.

If I had my way, I would make sure that every American have the experience of a third world culture. I remember when Angelina Jolie first got a dose of reality of the displaced orphans in the war zones and the conditions they live in, her remark was "how did I not know this?" From that moment on, she has dedicated her time, effort, resources and money to the cause of the orphaned children of the world.

That was a long, long time ago; many wars have been fought since then by Americans for AMERICA to protect the freedomes we enjoy. Show me one illegal who has fought for our country. I doubt that American people who are and have been American citizens for the past few hundred years would be considered aliens

The point is there are people willing to risk the lives of themselves and their families to be here.

If these people are willing to "risk their lives", why can't they use their heads instead, and study to become American citizens? It would certainly beat risking their lives. I reiterate my original point: Why, if they are so desperate to live and work here, can't they go through the channels to live here legally? Others have done it. I think it is because they are too lazy to do the work and studying necessary to be an American citizen. Which says a lot in itself about why they have no business here. Illegals are just that...Illegal! And they have no business being here for any reason whatsoever. If things are tough where they live, why is it OUR COUNTRY'S problem?? You are aware, aren't you, that they are collecting Medicaid and welfare, and other government benefits; and causing many other problems, (such as driving with no car insurance or legal driver's license and rear-ending you). I personally am sick to death knowing that a lot of the illegals who are living here are collecting government benefits and are not even paying any friggin' taxes! That is one of the reasons why I may not be able to collect Social Security that I have paid into all my life when I retire; my friggin' money is going to go toward paying benfits for people who lived here illegally and never paid a damned dime into the system.

Furthermore, I live in Florida, and we are arresting illegals by the handful who are using social security numbers of dead people! And by the way, there are plenty of able-bodied American guys here in town who would LOVE to have the illegals' jobs. However, cheapskate contractors choose the illegals because they work for next to nothing, and that DOES NOT make it right!

I just don't understand the bleeding heart liberal view of helping these people come here and bleed our system. I have no problem with foreigners becoming citizens here; but they should have to do it the same way the legal folks did it who are here!
