BIOGRAPHY

John McCook portrays Eric Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful (a role in which he has been honored with one Daytime Emmy Award nomination and two Soap Opera Digest Award nominations). Prior to his work on The Bold and the Beautiful, McCook was most famous for his portrayal of Lance Prentiss on The Young and the Restless from 1975-1980. In addition to his daytime soap opera credits, he also has appeared in numerous primetime shows, including Dynasty, Magnum, P.I., Newhart, Alice, L.A. Law, and Simon & Simon to name a few.

John was born and raised in California. He is married to actress Laurette Spang. The couple have three children (Jake, Becky and Molly). He has a son (Seth), from a previous marriage to dancer Juliet Prowse.
