Before the role of Sally Spectra, Conley had numerous stints on other daytime dramas, including Capitol, Days of Our Lives and General Hospital. In addition, she appeared as Rose DeVille on The Young and the Restless from 1979-1980, 1986-1987, and again in 2000.
Darlene Conley has also had numerous parts on prime time television shows throughout her career. She has appeared on episodes of Highway to Heaven, Cagney & Lacey, Murder, She Wrote, The Jeffersons and Little House on the Prairie. Her film credits include small parts in movies such as The Birds and Valley of the Dolls. Darlene has one son and two stepsons. She was raised in Chicago’s South Side. In addition to her talents as an actress, she has also had success as a singer in Europe.
Sadly, on January 14 2007, the actress passed away due to stomach cancer.
