Good morning from a warm, windy and dry Florida. Lord, please send us some of that rain! Well, it is Friday. The day people have been looking forward to all week. Our schools are on Spring break next week. I am seeing a change in the influx of northern visitors. The winter residents are loading up and going home. While the college students and young families are coming in for the beaches, and of course. good old disney. Come on down, we got Chamber of Commerce weather going right now! |

Guess what? We got rain today!!! Hooray!!! Not quite an inch but every drop needed. You can tell Easter is two weeks away. The flowers are blooming and there is a little coolness in the early morning breeze. But by noon, you know you are in Florida. I wish everyone safe travels as we begin the coming work week. |

Today is my first day in 4 that we didn't have down pours of rain here in NC. It was good to see some sun. They are calling for snow flurries tonight. I sure hate to see it get cold again. |

snow flurries in north carolina?! wow! i was just reading today about the flower festival at the biltmore in asheville. this year has had some strange weather patterns for sure. now, some june 1st, it is our turn in the coastal region...........hurricane season begins. |

I am just to the west of Asheville. Have you been to the Biltmore before? I went for Christmas this year. All the trees and lights are great but it was bitter cold. Spring is definately my favorite time to go. The gardens are beautiful and so are the vineyards. On June 11th they are opening up some new never seen rooms. |

On June 11th they are opening up some new never seen rooms. this area of WNC is one of my favorites places in the world! first, because my first grandson was born in asheville. the family was on vacation when my daughter experienced complications and deliver her first son at twenty nine weeks of gestation. my daughter and i lived for three months in asheville until my grandson got big enough and strong enough to come to florida. second, we have a friend who owns a home in maggie valley, so we love go there. are you near this area? i have been going to the biltmore on and off for years. i have even took the behind the scene tours of parts of the house they are still working on. that was very interesting. |
