WE put out HUGE DISPLAY for christmas!!! it takes us months to plan it out to make it different from the year before. last year, we had 3,000lights on the house alone! and our house is only like 1000 sq.feet  have you ever tried planting your tomatoes in bale of straw? we did that this year, theyare well over 5feet tall, and loaded with tomatoes! 3000 lights???? What is your electric bill like? I do love Christmas lights though! I will try the straw and see what happens. I never have that problem with cherry tomatoes. They grow wild all over the yard. The cardinals like to eat them. I froze a bunch last year. |

I froze a bunch last year. the electric bill goes up about an hundred bucks. we have a coop here so electric is cheaper. when you do the bale of straw. you have to plant the plant in the bale. we used a chainsaw to cut a hole in them. we put 4 in one bale. filled the hole up with dirt and make sure the bale stays wet. |
