My dad will be 80 next month and he has cancer. Been fighting it for a long time. The last month has been touch and go. He doesn't want to go on hospice, but I think it is time. It's never easy, is it? |

Quote DL2W: Quote Rynomom: Good Morning to all....it is still HOT here......no rain in sight! Although we are having a "cold front" come through...which means it will only be 96 today! Rah Rah Ree! still raining off and on in Massachusetts, but they say the 4th of July will be dry..I have mushrooms growing inmy front yard It's raining here too today. We need all the rain we can get. (As long as it's not a hurricane! At least it makes it a little cooler. Can't cut the grass when it's wet, that's my excuse!

Quote Rynomom: Patty, please don't mention the "H" word!   We are still very dry! I watered the plants outside and I swear I heard them sigh! There are fire bans, we haven't had any rain since the first week of the month. Hey girl! How are you? A small tropical depression would take care of your rain problem. Don't need a "H". Just the rain to cool things off. Keeps the electric bill lower (a little bit). Think I mentioned this, but everything in my yard either survives Florida weather or it dies. I don't water anything except the citrus and the roses (when I remember!) We have been in a drought for a couple of years now. It rains.....but never enough. We have water restrictions even in the rainy season! And yet, the builders keep on building houses.!?! |

Dakota.....Thanks, I agree about hospice. They are special people. When my uncle passed, it was so peaceful and relaxed. I just hope my dad will agree to it. I guess it is an acceptance issue. Maybe he thinks that he would be giving up. He's always been a fighter. |

I think he is just too weak to argue about it. Hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th of July! It is all so fresh in my mind. See if they can provide music therapy for him. It should soothe him. I am glad that we had some sun for three days. I almost forgot what the sun looks like.
