I am just to the west of Asheville. Have you been to the Biltmore before? I went for Christmas this year. All the trees and lights are great but it was bitter cold. Spring is definately my favorite time to go. The gardens are beautiful and so are the vineyards. On June 11th they are opening up some new never seen rooms. this area of WNC is one of my favorites places in the world! first, because my first grandson was born in asheville. the family was on vacation when my daughter experienced complications and deliver her first son at twenty nine weeks of gestation. my daughter and i lived for three months in asheville until my grandson got big enough and strong enough to come to florida. second, we have a friend who owns a home in maggie valley, so we love go there. are you near this area? i have been going to the biltmore on and off for years. i have even took the behind the scene tours of parts of the house they are still working on. that was very interesting. I had the date wrong on the opening of the new rooms at Biltmore. They open this Saturday. I bet you were at Memorial Mission with the baby weren't you? That is a great hospital. Maggie Valley is awesome. It is about 45 minutes from me. If you take 441 north to get to Maggie Valley and Asheville then you literally come right by my house. I live in the first county of NC when you cross the GA line. |

Love to go up to Catallossee (?) to see the elk. Yes, my grandson was born at Mission and my daughter and I stayed at the Lewis Rathburn Center while we were there. I have a deep love for the people of WNC; so giving, kind and caring. Must be a lovely place to live! |

Thanks for stopping in! Saturday turned out to be busier than I planned! April is Child Abuse Awareness Month so my agency along with another agency gave out pamphlets and Blue Ribbons to kick off the month.....I signed up for the early shift.....then got lunch came home and then had to get my easter shopping done....when I got home I found hubby had gone to the store and bought stuff to cook out and had invited company! WOO WOO!  Hope all is going well with you! I'll try to catch up with you! |

Dakota, so nice to hear from you. Hope you have been well. Laura...are the winds blowing 30 miles an hour in MS today? Down here it is beyond breezy! Hope everyone is have a good Tuesday!!!! Hey Linda! That is the "little ole breeze" we had that knocked our power out at 3 a.m. on Monday Morning! We had to reset the security system, set our cell phone alarms and checked the weather radio....good no tornado so we went back to bed for about an hour or so more snoozing! HA! It has been in the 50's but the weatherman promises 70's for the rest of the week! Please say a prayer for Sassy, she isn't doing too well right now! Hey Pipps! Have a wonderful time on your trip!
