the last 8 years were the worst we have had in my lifetime, no republician seems to remember that, blaming the dems and obama for everything and he hasn't been in office a month |

They have been found out a as being a bunch of disorganized idiots who are in a scramble to find out wtf is really going on. They are having to pull each others head out of their ass and see the daylight for the first time in 8 years. The last 8 years has also been the worst ever in my lifetime. Thank God Bushy spend 3 of the 8 years on vacation in Crawford TX. If he had ACTUALLY been in Washington (where his job was) those 3 years who to h@ll know where we would be... |

What I really can't believe is all the mis-information out there about the stimulus package. One minute Republicans are spreading false information about what is in the bill, and the next they are claiming no one had time to read it. |

I am sure some will disagree with me, but since you asked... If you cut taxes, you put money in the pocket of people who pay taxes - this means business owners, who pay personal income taxes as well as taxes on their business - have more money to grow their business, hire people, and/or provide more & better benefits, like health insurance, to their employees. Businesses provide jobs, whether it is a local small business or a huge corporation. When businesses are taxed excessively, they make up for those taxes by raising the price(s) of the goods or services they offer, by firing employees, by reducing benefits, etc. They are not going to take the hit - the public will in the form of increased prices and/or their employees will in the form of a lost job, reduced benefits, reduced salary, or all of these perhaps. It's not just that there aren't enough tax cuts in the stimulus bill (again, IMO), it's that taxes cannot, or will not, be cut anytime in the future & will likely be raised b/c taxes will be needed to pay off the debt we are incurring by spending money we don't have. It is Bush's fault for spending too much - I think he spent way too much money, but I don't think the answer is to spend more. |

Sorry but I can't do that. I did find what Rachael Maddow asked a Republican Governer on her show last night pretty funny. She asked the governer since he was so opposed to the stimulus would he still be accepting the money. She said I am all for my taxes going to support my local law enforcement, but I wouldn't support or help a crooked cop. So if you were so against the stimulus why would you accept the money? The governer didn't realy have an answer to that, but he will be taking the money! |
