Quote Eppy: Quote alwaysEJ: Guys, I have to say maybe the reason the thread was pushed so far back is b/c it was removed to look at the posts that clearly bash other posters. If people want to talk about the Russian PM, so be it. I don't even agree with all that they post - & they may not agree with all that I post - but they're not breaking any rules & are peaceful posters. A No Bash thread is a place where ideas you guys have in common can be discussed with no debate from those who disagree. No thread is the place to blatantly mock other posters. If Admin came into this thread and it was removed because there was a reason to examine a post, it's because someone undoubtedly 'bad posted', or wrote admin. about a post. Otherwise, what reason would they come in in the middle of the night just to read threads? What's good for the goose is good for the gander. We can post here same as you in your thread. No one from your thread was bashed here. Just wondering about the Putin praising was all.But...I would guess those who post about Putin likely don't even read this thread so whatever floats your boat. Isn't he still a Commie - I thought, on either side of the political fence, being one was not especially praiseworthy. I thought maybe something went on last night...like a back & forth - but I went to bed so I don't know. I know on the Days board when they remove threads to edit or remove posts, the thread ends up lost. I don't know why when they open a thread back up it doesn't come to page one. I don't know much about Putin's beliefs. I probably should, but I don't. I know he is former KGB, so that always raises a red flag. Anyway, happy posting. You guys should be partying it up...you have control of the White House & both houses of Congress |

Quote alwaysEJ: Happy posting to you too. No matter who has control, it would be wonderful if Congress was more bi-partisan. A lot more would get done - too much energy and time wasted bickering and blustering.

I think Putin was getting some compliments on the "other" side because he knows how to "squash them liberals". |

Quote Blue 501: I think Putin was getting some compliments on the "other" side because he knows how to "squash them liberals". Here's a thought. If Palin were to get the GOP nomination for president in the 2012 election, who do you suppose would be her running mate? I am thinking maybe "Joe the Plumber"? |

Quote Blue 501: I think Putin was getting some compliments on the "other" side because he knows how to "squash them liberals". IMHO, this is what is so screwy to me. Essentially, it seems that Putin, the head of a communist country, must be a conservative (?) if he is so worried about the liberals in his country? Has anyone ever heard of a Conservative Communist? That's what many conservatives call the liberals in this country *communist leaning, anti-capitalism, etc* (under their breath, of course) and not always so under their breath come to think of it.

You know, I wouldn't put it past her...if good ole Joe is not chosen as her vp running mate, she will nominate him to be Secretary of Commerce...since his experience as a broke carpenter combined with her mooseburger making skills, will bring the country back "on the right track." I can't imagine if they actually won the White House what the Inauguration would be like---marching bands with people dressed up in overalls with hammers in their back pockets...baton twirlers using moose antlers for batons...an army of Palin impersonators hailing allegiance to the Lipstick commander in chief... I really think the planets and the sun would spontaneously combust--no universe can sustain that much lunacy! |

It's nonsense yet sensible to them---extreme right wing groups seem to incline themselves towards extreme communistic/nazi-type governments. They use the word democracy as some kinda "proof" that their 'not like those guys,' but the rhetoric is pretty much the same--"we hate all that don't look like us, and that's a problem!" Ignorant people who spew such hatred are cancerous to what true democracy should be about....it's not for an exclusive few! And it's certainly not for cowards like these who talk about Obama as if he were the devil himself. These hate talks are grounds for treason---it has nothing to do with freedom of speech anymore. When you are pledging allegiance to systems that want to overthrow the American government and the president, that's dangerous. It's just mind boggling...but thank God, there is more Light in the world than dark. |

So...to clarify the nonsense of the "Obama is not constitutionally eligible to be president." |

Somehow, I think there is probably no one MORE conservative than a communist in complete control of a country. A lot of the older Russians missed that when things seemed to be loosening up in Russia . Totalitarian regimes seem to look a lot alike when you examine them closely. Even in China, it looks like a huge percentage of the new multi-millionaires are children of prominent Communists. |

There are a lot of hate mongers in this country. I read in Newsweek yesterday that Rush Limbaugh said that people who opposed the AIG bonuses were "peasants with pitchforks". What I find so astonishing is that so many poor to lower middle class people are rabid supporters of the far right. Don't they realize there is nothing in it for them? |

Good morning fellow Dems. I noticed the 3rd thread closed and read why it was opened. I just want to explain that if this happens again and you notice the thread is gone into cyberspace somewhere all you have to do is google: Democratic no bash part 2 at soaps.com, click on it and go to the very last page and reply to bring it back here. I've learned this little trick from the Days board. |

Quote OspreyGirl: Yes, Communism and Nazism are both repressive regimes, but they on the opposite ends of the scale, which I guess makes them alike in their 'repressiveness'. But, to call Putin a conservative in the communist party is akin to calling a head of the Nazi party a liberal. If anything, Putin should be labeled an EXTREME communist because of his hard-nosed stance.

Quote Kathryn (Admin): Hey everyone, Just wanted to say sorry that your thread was lost. There seems to be something that makes random threads disappear to the zillionth page from time to time. If you can't find a thread right away, just go to google and search the thread name followed by soaps.com. I hadn't realized this thread had been lost until I noticed a Democrat 3 post so I searched for it without checking the boards and found you all on google here already posting away Happy posting ya'll! Kathryn thank you for clearing that up |

Quote OspreyGirl: So...to clarify the nonsense of the "Obama is not constitutionally eligible to be president." Well..it derives from a coward soldier who is scared to go to war because he doesn't want to serve under Obama due to his "questionable citizenship." And guess where the story originated from...the Free Republic...yes, the same site that allowed the heinous post about Malia Obama being a "future baby mama." Enjoy the ever correct, bitingly direct, and funny...Keith Olbermann: www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036677/vp/31914146#31914146 "July 14: Maj. Stefan Frederick Cook and his attorney Orly Taitz are seeking a federal court order in Georgia to delay, and ultimately prevent Cook's upcoming deployment to Afghanistan based on his claim that President Barack Obama is not a natural-born citizen and is therefore "ineligible to serve as commander-in-chief of the U.S. Armed Forces." This guy takes the cake--you know what, I would like to meet him and let him know that (a). I'm a woman, (b). I'm a Marine Corps veteran, and (c). when I got orders to go somewhere--I went, and I didn't call hire a lawyer to tell my reporting officers that I "got cramps" and can't make it in today...LOLOL... thank you for your service!!!!! |
