It's to be expected there will be some very heated debate, but I feel most posters were staying on subject. The topic of 'bad-posting' came up because some did not understand how it works, but that is the only time in that thread that I feel anyone strayed from the main subject. I don't think that should have been enough reason to shut it down, but that's just me. Many posts on that subject were deleted.

Well I am gonna be just plain old honest here and say that I don't think she is qualified to be in any political office. Seriously, this is one of the dumbest women I have ever heard in any interview. I would not vote for her to drive a school bus much less run a country. And, to top it all off the robo calls from her during the election calling Obama a terrorist and her allowing death threats to him at her speaches makes me dislike her to no end. She was out for fame at any price. Thank God we are not having to pay that price because she lost the election. I am still shaking my head over WHY of all the smart Rep women they chose her.

I just think all that National attention she got during the campaign went to her head. For a person to come from the least populated state, a one and one-half year governor noone ever heard of, I suppose it's understandable... she simply had no experience on the National stage and thought her 'cuteness, her rah, rah cheerleader attitude and down-home charm' would get her through. Harry Truman was down home too, but he was tough as nails, brilliant and intellectually well-prepared to take over the most haunting responsibility of stepping into the presidency following FDR's death. Just goes to show his insensativity is intact! On the other hand, when a woman in the audience at one of his rallies accused Mr. Obama of being a Muslum, Mr. McCain did immediately set her straight in no uncertain terms. Judging from Ms. Palin's silence when other's called Obama's death threats or yelled "terrorist" sympathizer, she just smiled - no admonisment, rebuke or anything else. If that isn't divisive, I don't know what is! |

Palin's daughter's baby daddy said Sarah was offered $7-9 million for her book. Would enough people actually buy that book to make it profitable or is this a sneaky way for the far right to funnel some money to her? Just wondering. That's a lot of money and I can't imagine her having anything interesting to say. |
