Quote rudy2: Quote HOT PINK: Quote rudy2: Quote HOT PINK: Here's a recipe my son Thomas calls "the Green Stuff" that I make every Thanksgiving and Christmas. 1 large carton of Lite Cool Whip 1 pkg. sugar free lime jello 1 pkg. sugar free pistachio pudding 1/2 cup finely chopped pistachios (optional) 1 15 oz. can crushed pineapple (in natural juice, with no extra sugar added) Mix all ingredients in large bowl until well blended. Chill several hours before serving. i luv this recipe!~~ im gonna make it!~but i dont use anythang sugar free!~~ rudy2 - Don't worry about not using sugar free. It's even better (of course) when you use regular cool whip, lime jello, pistachio pudding, and crushed pineapple. I modified it when I learned I have Type II Diabetes. Hope you will enjoy it! sorry ta hear that sweetie~you take care ah yerself!~thankya fer the recipe!~~i'll jus hide mine from you k? rudy2 - That's fine. I am doing a lot better these days and have been keeping my sugar levels (most days) under a 100. It's a good thing, for me, that my version tastes pretty good (thank goodness!). Take care, and have a great day! |

If ya'll want to cook a Tex-Mex breakfast here is a very easy one. My take on MIGA's. Scramble some eggs depending upon how many you are serving, just before you are almost done add crunched up FRITOES, turn eggs a couple of more times. Serve with topping of both graded cheddar cheese and pico de gallo(receipe to follow. Cut/dice 3-4 tomatoes(I like to use Roma's but you can use whatever you like, 1/2 yellow onion, 2 small serrano's(Jalepeno's aren't as hot so they can be substituted instead), 1/2 bunch of cilantro, squeeze the juice of 1 lime(you can add more if you prefer)and mix generously. Add the pico to your migas and it's also nice to serve this with refried beans(I make my own but you can use can but if you do you might want to add a small amount of lard to get it to taste like the Mexican cafes, also serve with warm tortillas. ENJOY. |

Quote GHOLTLFan: Quote clicquot1: GHOLTLFAN here is another very easy fun food. 8oz. graded SHARP cheddar cheese, 2 cups of flour, 2 sticks of marg., 2 cups RICE KRISPIES, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. cayenne(or to taste). Cream marg.& flour together and add remainder of ingredients. Roll into small balls and put on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with a fork like you do peanut butter cookies. May need to dip in flour when using the fork method. Bake @ 350 degrees for 15 minutes. ENJOY....................................................... Thank you Clicquot, sounds great, what do you call these? Also, loving your crab dip, gonna try it! You are very welcome. You know I don't even remember, just call them cheddar crispies or something. Have funnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn at your party. The dip is so yummy. ENJOY. |
