iTunes released their Top 100 downloads (information they are not supposed to release until Idol is over but they sometimes 'let it slip.')

Of the Top 100 songs, these are the ones sung by Idol contestants, from all seasons.

No wonder Adam & Kris were the final two. Their stuff is all over this list.

Adam was interviewed by one the guys from Fox & Friends this morning. Cute interview & he alludes to possible talks with Queen. OMG...I think he'd be great solo, but just an album of him singing their classics would be amazing.

EJ that video made me feel so much better. I cant wait to see Adams career soar.....i feel like we/us are his first major fans for a lifetime of success. Thanks.

I have a question...did anyone elses screen go blank when Fergie and the Black Eyed Peas performed? There was a moment that my screen went blank and I was wondering if their lyrics were a bit too much to air on live TV?

Yes it happened here also. She was cursing and i guess it was on a 7 sec delay or a temp blackout to cover it up.

Did anyone else notice how far Cyndy Laupers legs were spread apart while she was sitting there singing with Allison? lol

Sunny, i guess we are two of a kind... i was thinking the same thing about Cindy.... i was wondering if it was because of the guitar thing, or was the cameraman getting rawdy...

my screen went to an idol sign, i thought it was acting up, cause it was raining... but she must have cursed or something....

think the Idols are going to be on Larry King tonight...

Yeah Adam, Kris, & some of the other finalists will be on Larry King tonight & I think Ryan Seacrest fills in for Larry.

have you heard anything about adam being a professional singer, that was hired by AI for ratings.... someone on one of the FB sites, said that he was in a broadway show called WICKed....

what people come up with....

Yes, Adam was in the L.A. production of the musical 'Wicked.' He was the understudy for the character Fiyero, the leading male role in the play. Being an understudy in an L.A. production of a musical in no way disqualifies him from Idol. Their only rule is that contestants cannot be under contract w/a recording company, & Adam most certainly was not. Adam had written some original music & sang in various venues in L.A., but had never signed a recording contract.

Adam's Wicked experience is what initially drew me to him. I love musicals & WIcked is one of my favorites. When I heard he had done the role of Fiyero, I knew he could probably sing. There are some videos on YouTube of him in the role, & he's just fabulous. He sounds better than the Broadway guy who recorded the original soundtrack.

Almost all the Idol contestants have had some stage experience prior to the show. Adam had a great deal of theater experience, but the judges actually pointed that out as a flaw of his at times saying he was too theatrical.

Editing to add - I hope one day he does something on Broadway. He should have a great career recording & touring & putting on fabulous shows, but he would also be wonderful in something like Phantom of the Opera.

Absolutely. I cant wait to see him and if i'm back in NY and he's on Broadway you can bet your sweet boopy i'm buying tickets. I'm sure i'll be bawling too.

EJ, so glad you posted that Fox & Friends Youtube video yesterday, it has saved me from building up resentment towards AI for his loss. I realize now its his gain because according to him he wants to record music soon. So i'm sure whatever Adam wants Adam gets from here on out.

This is a Reuters article, but the L.A. Times & Rolling Stone magazine are also reporting that Brian May has expressed interest in discussions with Adam:

I want Adam to make his own music & I am sure he will. Queen tours off & on & has never - & will never I imagine - permanently replace Freddie Mercury, but I'd love to see Adam do some shows with them. Just the fact that they're interested in him is amazing & I imagine an absolute dream for him. I re-watched the video of Adam & Kris with Queen Wed. night & Brian May kind of looks at Adam while he's singing like 'DAMN!' The fact that KISS & especially Queen came to the finale is a testament to Adam.

Anyone who can nail the lead in a Broadway play, sing ballads like Mad World & Tracks of My Tears flawlessly, & be considered as a front man for Queen just doesn't need the title 'American Idol.' Adam will be an international star, as Simon said & I look forward to following his career.
