I think Adam's voters assumed he's going to win (it's obvious the judges think that) & didn't vote or split votes to try & boost Danny or Kris or Allison hoping to shove one of the others out. I think this was a wake-up call & the votes for him next week will be through the roof. Honestly, I also think it could have been a ratings stunt by Fox. Everyone knew Matt was likely going home, so how can the keep people watching? I mean there is a reason Adam performs last or near the end every Tueday...it's all about ratings & I, like others, would tune out if he sang first. I did read that the iTunes sales numbers were released & of the top 10 downloaded AI songs, 6 were Adam's, 3 were Kris's, & 1 was Danny's. |

Your right ej.... Adam is usually last or near last.... and im usually waiting for him.... Danny has a good voice, but he is just soooo David Archuleta-ish to me... just sort of boring.... Allison and Adam should do good next week... now Kris i feel will surprise me.... wonder who the mentor is gonna be... |

Agreeing with all...it's a ratings game. I was almost in tears though, thinking Adam could go home! Geesh, I need to get a grip! LOL!! That kid is like from another planet, his vocals are outrageous! I'm hoping for him and Allison at the finals! |

At this point I think he'll be able to do whatever he wants after AI whether he wins or not...I mainly don't want him to go home b/c I love seeing him perform every week. He is someone I would pay money to go see in concert...the others, not so much. I just can't imagine an entire album of Kris, Danny, or Allison. They are talented, but not entertaining on stage & they just don't have the range Adam does. Who does? |

I almost gave birth last night and i'm not even pregnant when i saw Adam in the bottom. WTF??? That was definately a "ratings" trick. I had dvr'd it and ff to the end before i went into full blown contractions. Thank God he was safe but next week my friends please pick up the phone and tell all your AI friends to vote for Adam because i'm just too old for this type of scare!!! |

You know i love you, right Tammer? But, it wasnt Danny that Simon gave a standing ovation it was Adam.... I hated Taylor Hicks....i thought he was the horrah, but i already told you that. EVERYONE at work today was talking about Adam and how he was in the bottom 3.....not one person disagrees that it was for the ratings.....there is no way in h e double hockey sticks that the votes put him there, if you think about it it really is the perfect way for the phone company to make more money, its been talked about everywhere, and now next week there will be way more voting.....more money for the network and AI....everyone i talked to today agrees...and i do too. |

I think Tammer meant Simon gave Taylor Hicks a standing O last night (which is mind boggling to me). I am not certain b/c I mainly flipped channels while Taylor sang...his Idol win really turned me off to the show & it took Adam to bring me back. Sunny it's all over the internet too...people are analyzing the wording Ryan used & speculate that Adam was maybe third, then Kris, then Matt. My biggest gripe is the way Ryan asked Adam to choose a group. Adam had every reason to believe he was in the top three (& likely, he actually was IMO). Idol is making money off Adam in ratings and in iTunes sales. I think he deserves better than to be used as a dramatic ploy by silly Ryan Seacrest. Anyway, I think whether it a stunt or he actually was in the bottom two, the votes will be unbelievable for him next week. A lot of Adam fans are blogging about how they voted for him, but also tried to save Alison...so no vote-splitting next week! |

The show already has good ratings, I don't believe that is why he was there. He was there because that's where his votes placed him. Not everyone thinks Adam is the best..me for one. If that were Danny in the bottom 3 I would accept it for what it is..not make excuses for it. Would I like it? No. I was pissed when Daughtry was voted off, and he was FAR better than Adam. Fact is Adam is talented but I really don't like his style. Not everyone is a rock lover. I don't see him as an Idol, again I see him theatrical like Paula or whoever mentioned it. Vegas is more his style. I HATE his screaming it hurts my ears. I LOVED Taylor, and Simon did give him a standing o..he doesn't do that for everyone, including big name stars. The fact is we all like who we like, and I personally would have like Alison to go. Would you all think it a "stunt" if the were Danny in the bottom 3? Cuz there is no way in hell he deserves to be there.
