Quote daisyjo: Eppy, Daisy Jo, that is so beautiful - I'm gong to copy that and keep it to read from time to time. Thank you for sharing that with us, and thank for thinking of me and my Murphy
I am so, so sorry for your loss. I know the feeling of emptiness that seems like it will go on forever. It does get better in time and it helps to know that now there is a new little angel in heaven watching out for you. I found a poem that may help just a little bit. I didn't write it but I did add something at the end to make it more your own. I'm Still Here Friend, please don't mourn for me I'm still here, though you don't see. I'm right by your side each night and day and within your heart I long to stay. My body is gone but I'm always near. I'm everything you feel, see or hear. My spirit is free, but I'll never depart as long as you keep me alive in your heart. I'll never wander out of your sight- I'm the brightest star on a summer night. I'll never be beyond your reach- I'm the warm moist sand when you're at the beach. I'm the colorful leaves when fall comes around and the pure white snow that blankets the ground. I'm the beautiful flowers of which you're so fond, The clear cool water in a quiet pond. I'm the first bright blossom you'll see in the spring, The first warm raindrop that April will bring. I'm the first ray of light when the sun starts to shine, and you'll see that the face in the moon is mine. When you start thinking there's no one to love you, you can talk to me through the Lord above you. I'll whisper my answer through the leaves on the trees, and you'll feel my presence in the soft summer breeze. I'm the hot salty tears that flow when you weep and the beautiful dreams that come while you sleep. I'm the smile you see on a baby's face. Just look for me, friend, I'm everyplace! I'm your very own guardian angel in the sky above, Looking down on you with thankfulness and love, I'll be in your heart should you ever need me, the dog you loved, your best friend Murphy. Hi everyone, I just wanted to thank you again for all your kind words and support during this difficult time. Not to get too sappy about it, but I copied all your posts along with some from others that came to me over the internet and compiled a sweet little booklet to place in Murphy "Special Box" along with his ashes. He will have all that sweetness to enfold him. Thanks again. |

Quote puddycat: No puddy - thanks for your concern tho. I have a lot of other lifestyle decisions to make before I can make a clear decision on another pet. Please believe me tho, when the time is right, I will have another fuzzy friend. It's funny how you commented on his little feet. He grew up to be larger that your standard Corgy - was quite stocky and strong. But the most amazing thing about him was his coat. His fur was so soft, you'd swear he was mink or sheared beaver. Everyone who ever met him and petted him for the first times always commented on how soft he was. One of his idiosyncrasies was that he chewed his nails - even tho I always had the groomer trim him, but.... nevertheless, he felt he had to do it himself. What a nut he was.

I did not know if you had any other dogs and I know you said you had developed an allergy to kitties. So, I guess, as you said, when the time is right you will see. My dog, McDuff, (Bijon) does the same thing with his nails...and, as a matter of fact, my groomer tells me, why bother trying to cut his nails? Maybe it has something to do with the small dogs, I don't know. Getting him groomed, because you know Bijons have curly hair unless it is straigthen, is one of the very few things I put on my credit card - - in the summer I get him clipped down because he gets hot, but now that it is getting cooler, he can have his longer coat back. I actually bought a hair clipper a few years ago and he acted like I was decapitating him - - but then when he goes to the groomer, they tell me he is the best little behaved boy! Okay - - I shall stop now....getting emotional! Take care. |

LOL over trying to shear him. Dogs are funny about what they will tolerate. Murphy loved the groomer - he always gots lots of attention which he loved. |

The loss of our pets is devastating. I had to put my Golden down last year due to cancer. I will never forget them and I will always continue to have dogs, no matter how hard it is to see them get old and sick. They just make my life. |

I have ashes of all my previous dogs sitting in one place. I know they are all together up in doggy heaven. -Brian |

I remember when you lost your dog to, so it looks like were are all kindred spirits here. I do too, I have ashes of two doggies and two kittys. Seems some confort to have them back in some way. Take care and come back more often. |
