Quote frenchgirl: I have two dogs that I consider family, my parents dog and my own dog. My parents dog is nearing thirteen - I named he after a soap character on Another World. She sleeps alot...I know her time is coming but the thought of it chokes me up. We had a scary incident with my dog, he had to be rushed into the vet, he has a hernia and his intestines had pushed through the opening....he was in a tremendous amount of pain. But luckily we had rushed him in soon enough...in the middle of the night...and he was Ok. Some of my extended family were rolling their eyes after we said we had to rush the dog in, but I really don't care. i wouldn't care either, in the great words of plot twister f them ( she started a thread with that word LOL ), we have taken our cats to the 24 hr vets anytime we felt it was necessary!!! they are a piece of work tho, tells you right up front it is $100 to walk in the door |

quote wanna... She is just laying here on the bed being lazy. She throws up water everytime she drinks. She drinks a whole belly full and then within 5 minutes out some of it comes. She let go a mouthfull on the bed a little while ago. I am hoping this is just side effects of the meds. Maybe making her real thirtsy and she is over doing on the intake. She seems fine just REAL lazy and wanting to sleep. |

Quote wannazach: I have this framed and hanging in my living room!!! Rules For Non-Pet Owners who visit and like to complain about our pets: 1.The dogs live here, you don't. 2.If you don't want hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture. 3.I like my dogs a lot better than I like most people. 4.To you they are dogs. To me they are adopted children who are short, hairy, walk on all fours and don't speak clearly. 5.Dogs are better than kids. They eat less, don't ask for money all the time, are easier to train, usually come when called, never drive your car, don't hang out with drug using friends, don't smoke or drink, don't worry about buying the latest fashions, don't wear your clothes, don't need a gazillion dollars for college and if they get pregnant, you can sell the pups... that is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

how is it going wanna? |

Quote cats meow: how is it going wanna? Hi cats. She seems to feel ok just cuddled up under the blankies sleeping. Her temp was 1.31 the first time I checked yesterday but then went to 101.9 which was good. This morning it is 102. I think he will probably change to the other antibiotics tomorrow. It has been 5 days on these and it should have cleared everything up by now. She eats the canned food great so she does still have an appetite for that. |

Quote Eppy: I thought this was a very nice reminder: Remember that they can't do a lot of things for themselves and that they depend on you to make their life a quality life! A PET'S TEN COMMANDMENTS......... 1. My life is likely to last 10-15 years. Any separation from you is likely to be painful. 2. Give me time to understand what you want of me. 3. Place your trust in me. It is crucial for my well-being. 4. Don't be angry with me for long and don't lock me up as punishment. You have your work, your friends, your entertainment, but I have only you. 5. Talk to me. Even if I don't understand your words, I do understand your voice when speaking to me. 6. Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget it. 7. Before you hit me, before you strike me, remember that I could hurt you, and yet, I choose not to bite you. 8. Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I'm not getting the right food, I have been in the sun too long, or my heart might be getting old or weak. 9. Please take care of me when I grow old. You too, will grow old. 10. On the ultimate difficult journey, go with me please. Never say you can't bear to watch. Don't make me face this alone. Everything is easier for me if you are there, because I love you so. ~Take a moment today to thank God for your pets. Enjoy and take good care of them. Life would be a much duller, less joyful experience without God's critters This is really nice! Wanna...The governor called....Finn was granted a reprieve in the final hour! He wishes to thank you for the excellent defense you brought before the judge..... |
