Aw, you will miss your boys

Thanks for the ideas! Stew sounds excellent, I like to make enough over the weekend to have a least one week night dinner from it

Probably meatloaf and scalloped potatos and baked squash. As long as I have the oven on, might as well fix three oven dishes. My potatos are wanting to grow eyes, so it's time to use them up all at once.

I am going to make Breaded pork chops with sage cream gravy. Although I never heard of panko which is Japanese bread crumbs..(wonder if they have that at the grocery store?) It's real easy to make and I already have all the ingrediants...I just might uses my italian bread crumbs.

I'm going to use up my left over portegese rolls to make garlic bread to go with the pork and find a veggie that my daughter will eat..corn. I would rather make asperagas but hubby and I will be the only to eat it. Hmmm I'll do both! My son is more adventerous so yeah I'll go with both!

I haven't had meatloaf in a long time.

My sister would make it and put layers of cabbage in between.....hm hm good!

I also love her scallops.

Our house too! but tonight we're having Pad Thai

We had a spinach pizza on Tuesday....Tuesday, Fridays and Saturdays are the days we don't cook.

If I was living at home my Mom's would make a big pot of soup. Either red peas, googu pes, black eye peas, beef, chicken etc....it would have all the fixings in it (dumplings, yam, plantain, etc.)

My favourite is gungo peas or red peas(kidney beans), she makes it with coconut milk, beef and pork, not to mention the dumplings, yams, etc..

Dang I could drink a bowl of it now

Dang, KIR - my mom used to fix black-eyed peas with sage dumplings on top, and stewed tomatos with okra. Boy, was that ever good!!

KIR, what are gungo peas?

rei 1, panko is really crispy breadcrumbs and I know my grocery carries it so yours probably does too. Great on onion rings.
