Quote Eppy:
Quote akwood: Taco soup

1 lb of lean ground beef
1 lg onion
3 16 oz can chili beans undrained
1 16 oz can corn undrained
1 16 oz can chopped tomatoes undrained
1 15 oz can tomatoe sauce
1 41/2 oz can chopped green chilies
1 1/2 cups water
1 pkg taco seasoning mix
1 pkg hidden valley ranch dressing mix

brown beef and onion until done. mix in remaining ingredients, bring to a boil reduce heat and simmer 15 min.

I served it was some cruched tortilla chips. It was even better the next day!!! On the weight watcher system 1 cup of this is only 2 points!!!!

I am definitely going to try this. I love soups and especially the very thick ones - this is right up my alley. Thanks alot!

PS. When you say 'Chili Beans' do you mean the prepared chili in a can or just beans, like plain pintos?

its not chili in a can its chili beans in a can bush's has the best imo

Tonight it was Cracker Barrel. Grilled chicken sandwich and veg soup. Plus some of hubby's carrots. They're so yummy.
Guess I'll really cook tomorrow. There's a turkey in my crock pot.

i love the cracker barrel! I have only ate there about 3 times because they ALWAYS have about a two hour wait. I've got four kids so that is sooooo not happening!

Last night wasn't too bad cause we went early. Usually it's a long wait to be seated and after we order. Can't blame you for not wanting a long wait with 4 kids.
I love the country store part as good as the restaurant side.

I think I'll try Mamabing's BLT wraps. Was looking over the recipe thread and saw someone made a comment about them so I'm going to give them a try.
Got tired of burgers and dogs yesterday, 2 meals of them is enought for awhile.

That was me, januaryrose, and I have made those wraps many, many times as I love BLT's.

I'm a lazy cooker, mostly because I hate cleaning up afterwards. You use the microwave on these wraps. I even made it easier (cuz I'm lazy) and microwaved the bacon on a little contraption I bought that makes it crisp even in the microwave. Enjoy - - they are delicious!

Tonight I'm having roast tri-tip of beef, roasted potatos, carrots and onions, green salad. I made a batch of those spice cookies from the cake mix that Hot Pink posted in the recipe thread. I've been starving lately - usually I cook a lot lighter than this 2-days in a row!
