How do you make your cheese/garlic biscuits? sounds great!

Okay - don't shoot me - I buy the Bisquik package of Cheese/garlic biscuit mix - they are fabulous!

And, if you like Sausage balls, mix one pound of hot (or medium) breakfast sausage with a package of the Bisquik cheese garlic biscuit mix, roll into one inch balls and bake in a 400 degree oven for 20 minutes.

Didn't know they made it that way. sounds great I'll have to gets some

c
Hope you will like them. The cheese/garlic bisquik mix is certainly our favorite. And, regarding the sausage balls, you my want to use two packages of the cheese/garlic mix, since the recipe I used to use called for two cups of flour.

Here goes:

1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 box Beef Noodle hamburger helper.
5 cups water
1 bay leaf
16 oz. can tomatoes
1, 10 oz. pkg frozen mixed vegtables

Brown beef and onions in lg. pot or dutch oven. Add tomatoes, bay leaf, water, spice mix from burger helper pkg. Heat to boiling, then add vegetables and noodles. Cover and cook ten minutes longer. Nice hearty soup!

Most people in other parts of the country might not believe it, but this time of the year on the central coast of Calif. it gets pretty darn chilly (sweater and jacket weather). The fog rolls in alot and is quite overcast today - perfect,

Ham and beans, fried potatos and cornbread weather. That's what I'm having!

Hey people, I just went through some of the earlier pages of this thread and picked back up on some really good ideas and tips. Glad I did, because I had forgotten a lot of stuff I wanted to try out.

Pancakes and sausage. I'm being lazy tonight. I made a big batch of pancakes awhile back and froze a bunch so I just take out what I need.

Mama stuck her chin out and said when she has to eat meat & vegetables for dinner, it does not leave any room for dessert, & tonight she wanted a bowl of blueberries & a slice of cherry pie. So that is what she got (this time). She is 93 after all. I will try to get her to choose better tomorrow.
