Quote Melrose - Place: Quote NEFERTIRI: Here is another one that I have been wonder and have question on my own - The Different of Republic and Democracy. it said here Republic is Rule by Law and Democracy Rule by majority, since they have many article about this I just choose one of them. Just after the completion and signing of the Constitution, in reply to a woman's inquiry as to the type of government the Founders had created, BENJAMIN FRANKLIN said, "A Republic, if you can keep it." Not only have we failed to keep it, most don't even know what it is. A Republic is representative government ruled by law (the Constitution). A democracy is direct government ruled by the majority (mob rule). A Republic recognizes the inalienable rights of individuals while democracies are only concerned with group wants or needs (the public good). Lawmaking is a slow, deliberate process in our Constitutional Republic requiring approval from the three banches of government, the Supreme Court and individual jurors (jury-nullification). Lawmaking in our unlawful democracy occurs rapidly requiring approval from the whim of the majority as determined by polls and/or voter referendums. A good example of democracy in action is a lynch mob. A more recent example was the failure of the US Senate to uphold their oath "to do impartial justice" and remove bill clinton from office. Those Senators should be removed themselves, for failure to uphold their oath and for aiding and abetting a known criminal. Democracies always self-destruct when the non-productive majority realizes that it can vote itself handouts from the productive minority by electing the candidate promising the most benefits from the public treasury. To maintain their power, these candidates must adopt an ever-increasing tax and spend policy to satisfy the ever-increasing desires of the majority. As taxes increase, incentive to produce decreases, causing many of the once productive to drop out and join the non-productive. When there are no longer enough producers to fund the legitimate functions of government and the socialist programs, the democracy will collapse, always to be followed by a Dictatorship. Even though nearly every politician, teacher, journalist and citizen believes that our Founders created a democracy, it is absolutely not true. The Founders knew full well the differences between a Republic and a Democracy and they repeatedly and emphatically said that they had founded a republic. Article IV Section 4, of the Constitution "guarantees to every state in this union a Republican form of government".... Conversely, the word Democracy is not mentioned even once in the Constitution. Madison warned us of the dangers of democracies with these words, "Democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths...", "We may define a republic to be ... a government which derives all its powers directly or indirectly from the great body of the people, and is administered by persons holding their offices during pleasure for a limited period, or during good behavior. It is essential to such a government that it be derived from the great body of the society, not from an inconsiderable proportion or a favored class of it; otherwise a handful of tyrannical nobles, exercising their oppressions by a delegation of their powers, might aspire to the rank of republicans and claim for their government the honorable title of republic." James Madison, Federalist No. 10, (1787) "A wise man will not leave the right to the mercy of chance, nor wish it to prevail through the power of the majority. There is but little virtue in the action of masses of men." Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862) Our military training manuals used to contain the correct definitions of Democracy and Republic. The following comes from Training Manual No. 2000-25 published by the War Department, November 30, 1928. you think if we email our Reps. senator this thing will be change ? is it possible we follow the constitution as written to the beginning ? we should try,I believe many outthere sick and tired of manipulation either by Gov. or main stream liberal media this one just in 'White firefighters win Supreme Court appeal' The Supreme Court ruled Monday that white firefighters in New Haven, Conn., were unfairly denied promotions because of their race, reversing a decision that high court nominee Sonia Sotomayor endorsed as an appeals court judge. I was chatting with our friend Ivan from Russia,he said this kind of thing wont happen in Russia, majority rules not minority,he was talking about Race here, pure Russian white. 'what is going on there in ur country/USA ? he said' normaly in any country minority wont have that much power. yes equal opportunity make America great, but look racism not only apply to minority but specially now to majority, thats very sad and pathetic he said, politically correct will kill your so call freedom of speech, how pity, its time to wake up and fight for your right silly !! lol...I think I really like Ivan,he is not only brave, smart and I agree with many of his view. I got a some interesting articles about these Sotomayor,I will send it on ur yahoo IM . |

Quote Night In Istambul: here is some interesting piece about Obama by John R MacArthur IT ISN’T QUITE FAIR to call Barack Obama a liar. During the campaign he carefully avoided committing to much of anything important that he might have to take back later. For now, I won’t quibble with The St. Petersburg Times’s Obamameter, which so far has the president keeping 30 promises and breaking only six. And yet, broadly speaking, Obama has been lying on a pretty impressive scale. You just have to get past his grandiloquent rhetoric — usually empty of substance — to get a handle on it. I offer a short, incomplete list, which I’m sure others could easily enlarge. Obama said he wanted to reform Washington and “fix” its “broken” system of corrupt lobbying. But Obama is neither a reformer nor a skilled legislative mechanic. Hatched from the Daley Machine in one-party Chicago, Obama wouldn’t be president today if he rocked boats. Witness the appointment of Roland Burris by the corrupt former Gov. Rod Blagojevich to fill Obama’s Senate seat: not a word of public protest from the new administration because Burris is a made man in the Chicago Democratic organization. So what if “Tombstone Roland” can be heard on the U.S. attorney’s wiretaps of Blagojevich, dancing around the delicate question of how to raise money for Blago without appearing to be buying his seat. Obama portrayed himself as the peace candidate, or at least the anti-war candidate. He is not a peace president, nor is he stopping any wars. True, he promised military escalation in Afghanistan (to blunt John McCain’s accusations of wimpishness), but well-meaning folks believed their new hero would genuinely move to end the occupation of Iraq and seriously try to negotiate with the Taliban. Instead, he has not only increased the number of troops and attacks against the Afghan insurgency, he has also expanded on George Bush’s cross-border raids into Pakistan, which have killed many civilians. The way things are going, Pakistan could become the new Cambodia and Obama the new Nixon. you can read the whole things at www.projo.com,its very long article. Yeah I wonder myself why it took him so long to react on Iran massacre, about coup in Honduras ,I read that Zelaya plan to change the constitution so he can run for reelection. to be honest I dont really care,we have much more trouble here in the USA which unployment reach about 10%,divided Nation ,North Korea threats and Goverment spendings like no tomorow A top Republican senator has ordered an investigation into the Environmental Protection Agency's alleged suppression of a report that questioned the science behind global warming. The 98-page report, co-authored by EPA analyst Alan Carlin, pushed back on the prospect of regulating gases like carbon dioxide as a way to reduce global warming. Carlin's report argued that the information the EPA was using was out of date, and that even as atmospheric carbon dioxide levels have increased, global temperatures have declined. "He came out with the truth. They don't want the truth at the EPA," Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla, a global warming skeptic, told FOX News, saying he's ordered an investigation. "We're going to expose it." The controversy comes after the House of Representatives passed a landmark bill to regulate greenhouse gas emissions, one that Inhofe said will be "dead on arrival" in the Senate despite President Obama's energy adviser voicing confidence in the measure. |

Yes I've heard about this EPA report (by the government's own agency) that they don't want to hear about & don't want the public to get wind of... Yet another thing that bothers me about the crap piece of legislation that passed the House last week is Obama's promise to post major legislation online at least 5 days before it's put to a vote to let people read it. This did not happen before the 'Stimulus' Bill was passed & it certainly didn't happen last week - Nancy Pelosi was up cramming more nonsense into the Cap & Trade Bill early Friday morning, & a vote was taken on Friday before anyone - including those casting a vote in the House - had a chance to read it. The 'Stimulus' Bill & this Cap & Trade piece of sh** are two HUGE pieces of legislation that no one, including those in the House, even read. Remember the AIG bonus mess? That all happened b/c no one bothered to read the 'Stimulus' Bill, which specifically allowed for the AIG bonuses. Let's hope Cap & Trade doesn't pass the Senate, or another of Obama's promises will go down the toilet - his promise to not tax anyone making under $250,000 a year, which Cap & Trade (if he gets his way) will most certainly do. |

Quote Wild Flower: Good morning CC - NII - EJ and the rest In a Campaign for Liberty video commentary, Ron Paul reveals that even though up to 20 Democrats opposed the controversial climate bill, they voted for it anyway, underscoring once again how the vast majority of Congress members are bought and paid for by the elite in Washington. The Congressman points out that the eight Republicans who voted for the bill did so in order to provide political cover for the Democrats. Even if those Republicans had not defected, some of the 44 Democrats who voted against the bill would have changed their votes anyway to ensure the bill’s passage. “One Democrat talked to me, a friend of mine,” said Paul, “and I said how are you going to vote on this bill and he said I’m going to vote for the bill but then he sort of whispered and he said, but I sure hope it doesn’t pass.” Asked why he was voting for a bill that he actually opposed, the Democrat responded, “yeah I have to do that.” “I said are there any other Democrats that are going to be voting for it and they really don’t like the bill, and he said, oh yeah about 15 or 20 of them,” added Paul. This underlines how Washington is completely corrupt at its core and how, even if individual members of Congress oppose a bill, they vote for it anyway just to satisfy the agenda of the elite and maintain the status quo. its bad enough I dont trust most of our politicians and Goverment, this is make it even worse, what a shame I and some friends email to our senators ,they need to get to the bottom of this, they are supposed to work for the people not Corrupt and behave so irresponsible. although may not work or useless at least we try. Polling data show that Obama's approval rating is dropping and is below where George W. Bush was in an analogous period in 2001. Rasmussen Reports data shows that Obama's net presidential approval rating -- which is calculated by subtracting the number who strongly disapprove from the number who strongly approve -- is just six, his lowest rating to date. Overall, Rasmussen Reports shows a 56%-43% approval, with a third strongly disapproving of the president's performance. This is a substantial degree of polarization so early in the administration. Obama has lost virtually all of his Republican support and a good part of his Independent support, and the trend is decidedly negative. The Constitution is the law of the land. It is what makes this nation so great. A rigid constitution is one that can not be modified or altered in any way, shape, or form. They would be considered the foundation or core of the country for which all things to come must be in compliance. |
