EJ, I was just coming on to post that crap about BO and Chavez...you beat me to it! And no one cares! One day to side with dictators, and a week to side with innocent murder victims!
Every day I am more surprised at how ambivalent our society has become. We're turning into a whole new -ism. Its like a socialommunistic dictatorship-ism. And I am about to try to conceive another baby here, I feel like I should be asking God for forgiveness for wanting to bring another doomed person into this mess. By the time they are old enough to understand, they will have already been picked by our new gov as to what job they will do for the rest of their lives, with what salary, etc.

 Obama said he wanted to reform Washington and “fix” its “broken” system of corrupt lobbying. But Obama is neither a reformer nor a skilled legislative mechanic. Hatched from the Daley Machine in one-party Chicago, Obama wouldn’t be president today if he rocked boats. Witness the appointment of Roland Burris by the corrupt former Gov. Rod Blagojevich to fill Obama’s Senate seat: not a word of public protest from the new administration because Burris is a made man in the Chicago Democratic organization. So what if “Tombstone Roland” can be heard on the U.S. attorney’s wiretaps of Blagojevich, dancing around the delicate question of how to raise money for Blago without appearing to be buying his seat.
 Obama portrayed himself as the peace candidate, or at least the anti-war candidate. He is not a peace president, nor is he stopping any wars. True, he promised military escalation in Afghanistan (to blunt John McCain’s accusations of wimpishness), but well-meaning folks believed their new hero would genuinely move to end the occupation of Iraq and seriously try to negotiate with the Taliban. Instead, he has not only increased the number of troops and attacks against the Afghan insurgency, he has also expanded on George Bush’s cross-border raids into Pakistan, which have killed many civilians. The way things are going, Pakistan could become the new Cambodia and Obama the new Nixon.

Yeah I wonder myself why it took him so long to react on Iran massacre,about coup in Honduras ,I read that Zelaya plan to change the constitution so he can run for reelection.
to be honest I dont really care,we have much more trouble here in the USA which unemployment reach about 10%,divided Nation ,North Korea threats and Goverment spendings like no tomorow

They took a test to advance their careers and passed, but but their test were thrown out because none of the black/African American people who took that same test passed. There were 2 Latino that passed and their tests were also thrown out.

This didn't need to be about race....it was a test for the most quialified to be promoted.

Glad to see a republican thread at Soaps.com. I usually go to Gretawire blogs, they keep re-doing the blogs though, not like they were.

Well lets hope we all still have jobs!! when this is over! I work for an agency that provides homes and other services to special needs. In my state the governor and his cronies keep taking away from them! The more they take the more Jobs are lost and now we have innadiquite staffing! It's a mess, but no one seems to care! It's sad!!

Finally, people are laying off on the Ron-Paul-is-crazy-train! Even Democrats! He's always had my vote.

In a Campaign for Liberty video commentary, Ron Paul reveals that even though up to 20 Democrats opposed the controversial climate bill, they voted for it anyway, underscoring once again how the vast majority of Congress members are bought and paid for by the elite in Washington.

The Congressman points out that the eight Republicans who voted for the bill did so in order to provide political cover for the Democrats. Even if those Republicans had not defected, some of the 44 Democrats who voted against the bill would have changed their votes anyway to ensure the bill’s passage.

“One Democrat talked to me, a friend of mine,” said Paul, “and I said how are you going to vote on this bill and he said I’m going to vote for the bill but then he sort of whispered and he said, but I sure hope it doesn’t pass.”

Asked why he was voting for a bill that he actually opposed, the Democrat responded, “yeah I have to do that.”

“I said are there any other Democrats that are going to be voting for it and they really don’t like the bill, and he said, oh yeah about 15 or 20 of them,” added Paul.

This underlines how Washington is completely corrupt at its core and how, even if individual members of Congress oppose a bill, they vote for it anyway just to satisfy the agenda of the elite and maintain the status quo.

Worst part is no one cares, no one will be brave enough to do anything(other than talk about it), and the USA that we grew up in is already gone!! and this is the legacy we are leaving to our children!! That is the real shame IMO!! Anyone seen teh movie Idiocracy(sp?)(Luke Wilson was in it I think) That is what our country will look like if we don't stand up demand to be heard!!
