Hillary's Honduran Exit Strategy
If there is one person in Honduras who is more despised these days than deposed president Manuel Zelaya it is a foreigner who goes by the name of Hugo. We refer here not to the Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chávez but to U.S. Ambassador Hugo Llorens.
Many Hondurans, including, rumor has it, President Roberto Micheletti, see Mr. Llorens as the principal architect of a U.S. policy that has caused enormous Honduran hardship.
There is a chance that the agreement signed late Thursday between the interim government and Mr. Zelaya will put an end to that suffering. Finally the U.S. and the Organization of American States (OAS) have agreed to step aside and allow Honduran institutions to decide if Mr. Zelaya is to be reinstated. Without international meddling, it is quite likely that Mr. Zelaya will be refused the presidency once more.

After years of criticism that congressional lawmakers were reluctant to investigate their colleagues, the disclosure in recent days of a sensitive document from the House ethics committee offers the contradictory portrait of a panel actively pursuing a range of probes even as Democrats under scrutiny remain in positions of power.

Bad news for Democrats in revelation of ethics probes

Dede Scazzafava officially endorsed democrat Bill Owens today after she held discussions with democratic New York Senator Charles Schumer.

I knew that she was a RHINO (Republican In Name Only). These are exactly the ones that don't Conservative values and ideas.

Unfortunalty, Newt got it wrong on this one and Palin and Pawlenty got it right. I knew she was more like a Dem than a Republican. Hopefully Hoffman will pull this one off!

Quote 2577Echo: What does anyone think of Bobby Jindal, Governor (R) of Louisiana? The few times I have heard him speak, he seems very measured and thoughtful.

Also, what is Condolezza Rice doing these days? I liked her.

I do not think that Jindal is eligible I do not think that his parents were US Citizens at the time of his birth. I really wanted Condi to run in this past prez election, she could have beaten Ovomit hands down!

Its too bad. I always thought a Palin/Jindal ticket would be a winner. Perhaps he can be Sec. of State in the next Republican administration. Gov. Jindal would be excellent in that position. (He studied at Oxford)

I know ,I know, it was around during the clinton years- still funny--

Flying on obama's AFI,
obama looked at
oprah, chuckled and said, "You
know, I could throw a $1,000 bill out
of the window right now and make
somebody very happy!"

oprah shrugged her shoulders and
replied, "I could throw ten $100 bills out
of the window and make ten People very happy!"

michelle added, "That being the case, I
could throw one hundred $10 bills
out of the window and make a hundred
people very happy."

Hearing their exchange, the pilot
rolled his eyes and said to his co-pilot,
"Such big-shots back there. I could
throw all of them out of the window and
make 156 million people very happy!"

From the military corner,A Navy assault ship built with steel from the fallen World Trade Center and named in honor of the city and state that were home to the twin towers is making its inaugural visit there.
The USS New York was scheduled to sail up the Hudson River to day. The $1 billion ship was built in Louisiana with about 7.5 tons of World Trade Center steel melted down and used in the bow.
As part of its journey, the ship is scheduled to stop when it nears ground zero, where first responders, families of Sept. 11 victims and the public have been invited to watch a 21-gun salute.

LOOKS LIKE ACORN IS AT IT AGAIN

Conservative canidate for the NY-23 District made this post on his Facebook page:

www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=163240254747&ref=mfRead

He is claiming that ACORN and other Pelosi henchmen are canvassing the district, trying to rally support against Doug Hoffman and for the Democratic canidate. Really? ACORN? However, their efforts might be to no avail. Hoffman has a 14 point lead in the polls even after "Benedict" Scozzafava endorsed the Democrat.

PALIN STRIKES BACK

Gov. Palin posted a note on her Faceboook page blasting Vice President Joe "The Gaffer" Biden for his criticism about her stance on domestic energy issues. Turns out that in the 70's VP Biden was against the Alaska Oil pipeline which now contributes a signifigant amount of petrolium to the lower 48 states. Mr. Biden has not been a friend to the cause for energy independece for decades now. I guess if he and his boss had their way, all of of energy sources would be foreign. SAY IT AINT SO JOE!
