Did you catch Speaker of the House Pelosi's announcement about the proposed health care bill, as well as one of the Congressmen brandishing a copy of the Senate Democratic version? It appeared to be 8 to 12 inches thick--must have taken a lot of trees to print all that. And that's only the Senate version. I am wondering how many of our revered Congressmen have actually read every word, and how much extra stuff is buried in there. On the bright side, the news person stated that it would only cost $3 trillion dollars, spread over a 10-year period. I can remember when "Boondoggle" was only a board game we played on Sunday afternoons.

Perhaps the senate Dubocrats confused ,they dont know the different between Trillion and Billion,since Pelosi said before that 500 millions people lost their job,the fact is U.S. total population only a little over 300 millions.

Boo! More people believe in haunted houses than global warming.
This is shaping up as a very frightening Halloween for Al Gore and his global warming acolytes.
A new Pew poll shows far fewer Americans believe there’s solid evidence that global temperatures are rising. The number has plunged from 71% to only 57% in the last 18 months. Fewer people believe that global warming is due to human activity, too. That number has declined from 47% to just 36%.

Speaking of admired First Ladies, I liked Nancy Reagan very much, because anytime I saw her on camera with her husband when they were not being photographed directly, she was always watching him and looking at him as if he were the center of her life. I think he was to the very end, and I admire her for that and for guarding his privacy, It appears the devotion was returned, because I don't remember even a breath of scandal.

I would add Barbara Bush to that, too, for much the same reasons. One of the letters George H.W. Bush wrote to her in their early days was included in the book "50 Greatest Love Letters of All Time."

As well as being a Republican, I am also a Romantic.

Of course...how come I forgot about Classy Nancy Reagan and Barbara Bush..I save lot of pictures of Nancy and President Reagan.
being romantic is a big plus...
