And in other news...

The U.S. Post Office has halted mail delivery & requested police escorts if they are to continue delivering mail to what some are calling 'the most dangerous block in America' in Harvey, Illinois.

Venus Jones, a resident in this area, says her home has been broken into 3 times in 30 days.

If you remember from my post yesterday, the leadership in the state of Illinois is Democratic. Maybe one day these people will elect a few Republicans & perhaps the Post Office will feel it is safe for their workers to once again walk the streets & deliver mail.

Quote alwaysEJ: John Murtha is in danger of losing his House seat. Murtha is a Dem from Pennsylvania who has recently called his constituents 'racists' & rednecks.' Shockingly, he is now in danger of losing his seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, which would be fabulous. Murtha is a blithering idiot & even though Dems will maintain control of the House, the world will be a much brighter place if Murtha is sent home to live among the 'racist rednecks' in his state. You know the ones...the people Obama mocked for clinging to their guns & their religion.

I believe Murtha is from Johnstown where I lived for 2 freezing cold years. He was some kind of official then, this would have been in like 1970, he was an idiot at that time also. i come from the Pittsburgh area and can tell you he will not be appreciated! There are farmers with red necks sure but most of those people are from steel towns, coal towns or railroad men. Have seen the industries leave them with decrepit small towns and no jobs. Wonder where he will live when he's out of office?

EJ, you know she must be a "plant"! No Democrat would do such a thing, only Republicans are capable of terrible acts.

The things that are happening from both sides of the ticket this year are awful. we must look like a very insane, name calling country to other countries watching this.

you right most Liberal media has not been Fair at all to McCain specially Sarah Palin, that included NBC,CNN,etc.
their coverage its very one sided ,very transparent but I dont give a damn since I very rarely watch them, the Media has gone too Far in this country IMO,not that I ever trust them, still this election they can go so low to spread the lies and cheap coverage such what they Did to Cindy McCain by the Times .
the only time I bought Time magazine was when they have Vladimir Putin as the Man of the Year 2007 edition,I wish they have General Petraus instead but hey you know Putin really did remarkable Job for 8 years of his presidency to Russia .
I read that link SF send about the Asia Times opinion who will be the best Person to Lead this country,I was not shock since Putin is very popular in the world now Bwa...ha...ha ,he probaly will straight everything up here so quick like you will never see in anyone else leadership

This links to a news video about the woman who was attacked.

I bet ACORN finds this guy before the cops - after all, he should not be denied his right to cast a vote (or several votes) for his main man Obama.

Did anyone else catch the interveiw of Palin last night on Hannity & the other guy? She was wonderful.
Although, I'm a republican for the first time in years I'm not voting a straight ticket, I'm hoping to get rid of congressman Jo Bonner, the most useless congressman from AL since Howell Heflin.

I watched Hannity last night and I thought that Palin did a great job too. I am not voting a straight ticket this year either, I do like the Democrat that is running for Gov. here. I vote for who I think is the most qualified.

This year in MO you cannot vote a straight ticket by punching just one button, you actually will have to select each candidate individually. Also this year the Board of Election Commmission is sending out a sample ballot for the area where you live with your voter/polling location card which I think is a really a good idea. You can take it with you when you vote.

SS - I heard on the News that PA incident was a hoax,I dont know what to believe anymore honestly.
But I dont blame the whole McCain Campaign for this, its individual responbility.
Just like I dont blame Obama Campaign about that woman McCain volunteer who was beaten by some Raging Democrat man at Manhattan.
do you think both of this campaign can control their supporter all over the country..?,get real!! common sense here.
Iam sick of the blame game, its gets old and tiresome after a while, ppl probably dont give a Shyt anymore.
the Dow and Nasdaq plus S&P down again to day, many investor watching the election carefully,I heard many ppl or small businesses pull out their investment and invest it else where /overseas because they dont want to get Taxed more if Obama win.
Moody may cut NY Times to Junk status, the Newspaper announced low q3 earnings.
I dont know why they keep trashing Sarah palin for her $150 k wardrobe who was paid by the Campaign, they said most of them will go to charity anyway.
how about obama campaign would spend 2 millions Dollars for election night extravaganza at Chicago's lake front Resort Grand Park.
I dont really care for any of those, not important IMO.
Iam more concern about the election this year specifically, with this ACORN fraud all over Battle ground states, how do we know if this is going to be Fair election ?
we know that ACORN endorse Obama but I have doubt that many of those multiple register fake voters would be able to be caught before the Election day.

Quote alwaysEJ: CHANGE CHICAGO STYLE

Body count.

In the last six months:
Chicago - 292 killed (murdered)
Iraq - 221

Chicago is a combat zone.

Who is in charge?

(The leadership in Illinois)

Senator Barack Obama (Democrat)
Senator Dick Durbin (Democrat)
Representative Jesse Jackson Jr. (Democrat)
Governor. Rod Blogojevich (Democrat)
House leader Mike Madigan (Democrat)
Attorney General. Lisa Madigan (daughter of Mike), (Democrat)
Mayor Richard M. Daley (son of former Mayor Richard J. Daley) (Democrat)

Of course they're all blaming each other.

Why?

They can't blame Republicans, there aren't any!

State pension fund $44 Billion in debt, worst in country.

Sales tax 10.25% highest in country. (Look it up if you want).

Chicago school system one of the worst in country.

This is the political culture that Obama comes from in Illinois and he says he is going to 'fix' Washington politics?

Add 2 more murders in Chicago, Jennifer Hudson's (American Idol) Mother and brother were found murdered. Chicago is a "Combat Zone".

M and SS - Look at Citigroup is at low $13,anyway I think no matter who win Obama or McCain its going to be people who strongly dislike the New administration just like what they did to President Bush, its normal you CANT please both side,The Congress approval Rating is at all Time low about 9% according to Ramussen, and thats for both Democrat Majority and Rep. minority, even President Bush approval is higher than Congress ,he is about 25%
Iam more pay attention to Senate Race now,as long as Rep. can hold their seats and Dem. not reach that 60 magic number, they should be fine since the Senate and the House have equal power with President in Both Legislative and Judicial.
