Quote alwaysEJ: Quote bigtimesoapfan: Okay I got a The Republican party didn't nominate Palin to run for President they nominated McCain, who though not my favorite, has far more experience than Obama. Palin was nominated to serve as VP. Palin & Obama weren't nominated for the same office, so comparing their experience is a bit silly. However, comparing Obama's experience to McCain's was pretty absurd, so Obama was compared to Palin. It is a fact that Obama was the least experienced nominee from the Democratic party in- I don't know, forever. The experience of the Republican VP nominee in no way changes the fact that Obama has never run anything - not a business, not a city, not a state, & he didn't even complete a full term in the Senate & was running for president much of the time he was serving in the Senate. Don't worry - his poll numbers are dropping, the economy won't recover anytime soon, his universal health care is going to grind to a halt in Congress b/c there is no money to pay for it, & he's going to get his azz handed to him in the 2010 midterms elections. So Im kinda right though? If you only look @ that she has accomplished(not @ what her name is) it is more than him right? |

Quote Sahara Queen: Morning Mel, AP and Mustang its very funny that J Murtha support more production of F-22 Raptor, the same man who slander Marine Lance cpl Justin, you remember that law suit right ? "We can reach a compromise," Murtha says of Defense Secretary Robert Gates' proposal to end the program as planned. The secretary -- speaking for the White House -- is adamant about not buying any more F-22s. The little bit of advanced procurement that the House Armed Services Committee put in didn't help us much with the $3 billion we need for 20 F-22s," which is desired to keep the production line open. Yet, other challenges remain, including some that led Pentagon leadership to stick with the 187-aircraft cap first set by the George W. Bush administration. Former Pentagon acquisition chief John Young repeatedly cited stealth-based maintenance issues last year in criticizing further purchases. The F-22 is the only fighter capable of simultaneously conducting air-to-air and air-to-ground combat missions with near impunity. This is accomplished with a never-before-seen standard of survivability even while facing large numbers of sophisticated airborne and ground-based threats. In addition to being America’s most prominent air-superiority fighter, the F-22 evolved from its original concept to become a lethal, survivable and flexible multimission fighter. By taking advantage of emerging technologies the F-22 has emerged as a superior platform for many diverse missions including intelligence gathering, surveillance, reconnaissance and electronic attack. The Raptor is operational today, protecting our homeland and combat ready for worldwide deployment. Two squadrons of F-22s are assigned to Air Combat Command’s 1st Fighter Wing at Langley AFB, Va. And two squadrons are assigned to the 3rd Wing at Elmendorf AFB, Alaska. Raptor pilots and maintainers train at Tyndall AFB, Fla., while operational testing is conducted at Edwards AFB, Calif., and Nellis AFB, Nev. New F-22s continue to roll from the production line and will soon operate out of Holloman AFB, N.M., and Hickam AFB, Hawaii. |

Quote Pattaya Beach: thats the matter of opinion I think,Rudy Giulani former mayor of NY said that Gov. Sarah Palin has more executive experience than Sen. Barrack Obama and Sen. Joe Biden combined,When moderator Bob Schieffer asked how Palin's experience as a mayor and governor in little populated Alaska could outweigh Obama's and Biden's, Giuliani chuckled. "Sure. You know why?" said Giuliani. "She had to make decisions. All Sen. Obama has had to do is talk. That's all he does." Sen. Fred Thompson, another failed presidential contender, added to the refrain when he told CNN's Wolf Blitzer, "Wolf, I hate to break it to you, but you don't get national experience by being on the Sunday talk shows….She has more experience than Barack Obama." these statement was made last year during their campaign. you can read it on nydailynews.com back on august 31 2008. Yay so I was right! Even though on those threads my remark was made out like im a dolt!! At least I know Im right! Yay go me!! |

Quote Sleepy_Hollow: Quote Melrose - Place: Quote Mustang007: Quote American_ Pie: Despite the results of the 2008 presidential election, Americans, by a 2-to-1 margin, say their political views in recent years have become more conservative rather than more liberal, 39% to 18%, with 42% saying they have not changed. While independents and Democrats most often say their views haven't changed, more members of all three major partisan groups indicate that their views have shifted to the right rather than to the left. A Gallup Poll finds a statistically significant increase since last year in the percentage of Americans who describe the Democratic Party's views as being "too liberal," from 39% to 46%. This is the largest percentage saying so since November 1994, after the party's losses in that year's midterm elections. www.gallup.com/poll/121307 hei AP,I will send you lots of pictures of ex President R Reagan, got new collection. Quote Wild Flower: I never care for Nancy Pelosi at all,but her decision to shut down the resolution of Michael Jackson is wise. there are other far more important things that facing our nation now,the economy crisis,North Korea, our nation border etc. exactly,she/Pelosi said 'Lawmakers are free to use House speeches to express their sympathy or their praise any time that they wish,I don't think it's necessary for us to have a resolution' . Even before Pelosi's comments, some Democrats said privately they did not support the resolution and a divisive debate would hurt House efforts to muster the votes for priorities such as health care and climate change. When members of the Congressional Black Caucus held a moment of silence in the House after Jackson died June 25, some lawmakers walked out of the chamber, they dont say who, could be Dems/Reps. - you can read the story at www.chron.com. anyway I dont believe about global warming ,BL post #954 nor like the proposal of universal health care, but true there are other very crucial things that face our nation now. |

Quote StL Cardinal Fan: Pelosi shuts down resolution on Michael Jackson I guess Nancy does at least have one brain cell left!! I had better mark this on my calendar that I actually agreed with something Nancy Pelosi said. www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D99B39UO0&show_article=1 I actually thought the same thing - wow, she does have some common sense left! Of all the things our congress needs to be congregating about, they waste our tax payer dollars talking about an entertainer, while at the same time wonder why we can't get this economy on track. If people feel the need to honor someone simply b/c they died, they need to go to Dover and take their pick. |
