Chris Dodd is supposed to represent me...I'm from CT, well he has his double standards doesn't he....SMH. And for the record I never voted for him ... He is a joke! He tried to say he didn't know that he got any "special" deal...REALLY? to me if you get a substantial amount taken off your closing fee and considerably a lower interest rate and fee's waved or any other discount you sure as hell know about it! Oh it was said his wife handeled the transactions..well then he must be innocent..give me a break we (my husband and I)handle all our transactions jointly and unless the houses he bought are all in her name he was well aware of the "special" treatment he got. But shhh no on else supposed to talk about that.

I think I watch that H Stern on youtube, that was from the silentmajority.com if I am not mistaken,I got it from my friend also, its very Pathetic really,so ignorance, obviously there are Big double standard outthere from the Liberal Media the way they treat McCain and Obama are so different, its too obvious, thats why mostly I just watch Fox for news since they the only station who tell the truth about the other Party that has been treated as golden child, well thats my opinion and many other people I know anyway,I could give a Rat'azz what other ppl says, the more the trash Rep. the more I feel sympathy to them
we dont know whats going to happen at Nov 4,even if Dem win the white house ,is going to be the Biggest challenge ever both in economic and National security.
so if the Dem. not able to bring this country to better change we probably will have Rep. again in the white house after 4 years is over.
Economic and National security are equally important, because even if we prosper but we vunerable for attack just like 9/11 which cost this country about 500 Billions dollars,if God forbid we have another attack we probably will be devastated because we just starting to build our economy back again.

WOW now this is telling don't ya think...people need to educate themselves about the candidates!! Or else just stay home...not encouraging anyone to not vote...I am encouraging people to at least KNOW who they are voting for!! Wow this is sad...I'm sure there are people from the conservative side that are not informed also..for the love of this country...pick up a paper and at least know who is running and what party they are representing...

Quote alwaysEJ: CHANGE CHICAGO STYLE

Body count.

In the last six months:
Chicago - 292 killed (murdered)
Iraq - 221

Chicago is a combat zone.

Who is in charge?

(The leadership in Illinois)

Senator Barack Obama (Democrat)
Senator Dick Durbin (Democrat)
Representative Jesse Jackson Jr. (Democrat)
Governor. Rod Blogojevich (Democrat)
House leader Mike Madigan (Democrat)
Attorney General. Lisa Madigan (daughter of Mike), (Democrat)
Mayor Richard M. Daley (son of former Mayor Richard J. Daley) (Democrat)

Of course they're all blaming each other.

Why?

They can't blame Republicans, there aren't any!

State pension fund $44 Billion in debt, worst in country.

Sales tax 10.25% highest in country. (Look it up if you want).

Chicago school system one of the worst in country.

This is the political culture that Obama comes from in Illinois and he says he is going to 'fix' Washington politics?

Thanks for the post,very informative

Quote Madrid_Metro:
Quote Melrose - Place: Mustang,PB,SP,M - Hi guys I haven't post on Lane thread for a while, its been hectic here .
anywho I agree with you guys about the Obama Tax plan,I strongly disagree if his Tax plan can help create more jobs.
ok as the Wall Street Journal said its more like illusion.
I figure this way,as he said he will cut Tax for 95% ppl and raise big taxes for the other 5%.
I was thinking just roughly estimate 200 millions ppl over 300 millions who are adult workers thats include household.
under his plan these ppl will get Tax rebate /check every year that included you and me ,sound good right ?
but many of these 5% who mostly Business owners wont be able to afford it,so they have to cut cost by laying off employees or/and raise Prices,in the long run that will cause inflation or even economic depression,I heard that from the news also that Obama plan is more like Redistribution of income/socialism,and that certainly not helping the economy either IMO,because even if most of us get the check and spend it,how long that will last..? its very short lift, but we will lost more Jobs because how can you created more Jobs if you Tax more to the provider?
In my city ,there are many business are closed already, just one main street that use to be central business now there are at least dozens are closed, such these Restaurants ..Bennigans,Miami Subs,Steak N ale,Boston Market,Long John Silver,Road House some Apple Bees Res. are close too,not to mention local Restaurants plus Dozens store at the malls.
its very disturbing,we have less choices of lot of things now.
some of my friend who are small business owner says that its not worth it to keep the business, its better they will work for others or down sized.
Higher Taxes for middle class are Job killer IMO.
I dont blame this ppl want to put money and invest overseas since here they will treated very unfairly.
for me I only make a little I should be happy under Obama Tax plan but Iam not actually because all of this is going to cause inflation and we as consumer will have to pay for it anyway.

Mel..SH - WF ...I never like Redistribution of income, its not only unfair seem like discrimination for people who try to achieve their American dream,Iam surprise this happen in this democracy country whom now these Idea support by most Democratic congress.
I make less than 40k and I dont even like Obama Tax plan, its Job killer and it can cost major inflation in the future of the reason you mention above.
I hear this on the news about 80% small business owner or the Job provider prefer Mc Cain Tax plan rather than Obama,of course these ppl already paid over 30 to 35 % income Tax,thats the highest in the world, now Obama with the support of Dem. like Pelosi,Harry Reid and B frank would increase those Tax maybe to 40 even 50% thats outragous, almost like you being Rob of your hard working/success and your american dream, why bother to invest in this country then some ppl said.
overseas is more appealing, you right I dont blame those ppl, they have every right to be upset because they being treat differently just because they are succesfull.
when I was living at Java decades ago, that country was not consider rich country, its developing country with majority/85% are moslem, they have FAIR tax,say you make 100k/year you pay 10000 for 10% Flat Tax,and poor ppl who make $5000,they only pay $500,see the different,no matter what ppl who make more always pay more anyway.
In the US they have different Tax bracket, and the rich already pay arm and legs 30/35%.
what Iam thinking also Job loses and more wealth will be transfer overseas because of it.

I couldn't agree more with both of you GF I think I prefer listen to the third party which from the Financial expertise point a view, not from Obama nor McCain campaign, its true if you taxing the Job provider you wont created Jobs but eliminate more Jobs with the reasons you mention above, sure I would love receive Tax credit or check once a year under Obama Tax plan,it will help me temporary since I dont make much money, but as you said that money wont last long, its temporary patch, how about other people like you and me outthere who will lose their Job because the small business who they work for cutting employees, down sized or even close their business because they dont want to give almost half of their hard working money to Goverment which later on will distributed to others/under Obama Tax plan.
how you can create more Job by taxing them/small business more?
IMO its better that they take a look into cutting foreign Aid,since this country giving Billions of Dollars to other countries overseas, now that our own people suffering, losing their houses, savings and Jobs, maybe they can use some of that money to help little people like us but not taxing small business whom already pay over 30% -35% Tax whom reallly the highest in the world...? JMO
PS: almost forgot Yahoo plan to lay off 1500 worker/10% of their workers,so since 9/11 we have probably almost 2 millions Job lost I think....

The reasons I am Voting For McCain:
1. I have faith that he can fenr off most terror attack, Obama not so much.
2. I'm a firm believer in trickle down Economics not hsnd outs.
3. he's a vet so he can easily put himself in the shoes of today's vet along with those from his own era.

This to me is very important, my dad is also a veitnam era vet he never went to the war zone but was stationed in Korea at the time. My dad was an enlisted man in from 1960 -1982, career military so he does draw a retiremnt check but in order for my mother to draw 1/2 of his retirment check if she outlives him they have to hold back some of his check. I understand that is the way most plans work, but I think the spouse if they have been married 10 years or over should get half with out any hold backs with the option to do the hold backs and get 75%. Let's face it our military families past and present deserve better. Sorry for my tyrade.

Latest AP Poll: Dead Even

www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D93VM4PO0&show_article=1

The Investor's Business Daily poll came the closest to calling the 2004 election. Their latest poll shows Obama's lead tightening to just 3.7% points:

www.ibdeditorials.com/Polls.aspx?id=309546869309178

Don't get down by reports that some polls show Obama with a double digit lead. Many polls that show Obama with a 10 or 11 point lead poll far more Dems than Republicans, so of course they will find that Obama has a significant lead over McCain. It is a psychological game - the media love to report the polls that show Obama with a significant lead b/c they discourage people, sometimes discourage them from voting. I know most of you will vote anyway, but please don't be fooled into thinking this race is already over. There are reliable polls (the one that almost called the 2004 election, for example) that show a tight race.

You are right the polls are a psychological game, that is exactly what the media hopes you will do...don't go vote because your candidate is behind in the polls.

Here is some interesting reading on Andy Martin's site on his quest to prove that Obama isn't who he says that he is.

Hi Gang - SS -SP -M - SH - MM - Nef and T Rest
Iam so glad Glen Beck will move to Fox from CNN,he deserve better, now I dont have to watch boring CNN anymore !! Yee Haw!! he wont be start till spring.
you know the funniest show when O'reilly and Barney Frank face off, that was really hilarious I LMAO
you right most Liberal media has not been Fair at all to McCain specially Sarah Palin, that included NBC,CNN,etc.
their coverage its very one sided ,very transparent but I dont give a damn since I very rarely watch them, the Media has gone too Far in this country IMO,not that I ever trust them, still this election they can go so low to spread the lies and cheap coverage such what they Did to Cindy McCain by the Times .
the only time I bought Time magazine was when they have Vladimir Putin as the Man of the Year 2007 edition,I wish they have General Petraus instead but hey you know Putin really did remarkable Job for 8 years of his presidency to Russia .
I read that link SF send about the Asia Times opinion who will be the best Person to Lead this country,I was not shock since Putin is very popular in the world now Bwa...ha...ha ,he probaly will straight everything up here so quick like you will never see in anyone else leadership
oh BTW I love that Sarah Palin and Maria Bartiromo interview about energy independent when they were in alaska,Palin is so natural,I believe she is genuine and very likeable, quite a lot of people have confident of her from what I saw in the news.

John Murtha is in danger of losing his House seat. Murtha is a Dem from Pennsylvania who has recently called his constituents 'racists' & rednecks.' Shockingly, he is now in danger of losing his seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, which would be fabulous. Murtha is a blithering idiot & even though Dems will maintain control of the House, the world will be a much brighter place if Murtha is sent home to live among the 'racist rednecks' in his state. You know the ones...the people Obama mocked for clinging to their guns & their religion.
