Although police and investigators have no legal proof that the four men in Colorado were trying to assassinate Obama, it is very likely that if Obama wins the election there will be people who will try to assassinate him. I hate to say this but I have to realize that there are people who will not stand a Black president or a president of any other race besides white. I paid attention to my history and Christopher Colombus may have claimed to have found a New Land but the truth be told, Native Americans did. Whites have always had supremacy since the day America was officially founded. Now I think it's great that African Americans and other races have shown over the years that they have the leaderships potential and I think it's fantastic that we have a black presidential candidate but i don't think it's fair that people hate to see a black person as successful as Obama.

i am white..... i have no problem voting for a "black" person. i am sorry , but not all us,"white people" believe we are superior.. you offended me in your post as a "white" person. i have friends of all nationalities even on this board. as for three guys that had the idea for assignate .THEY DO NOT REPRESENT THE WHITE RACE!!! they represent STUPIDITY! as a child did you attend church? do you as a adult? I think there are very few white people who feel this way. I live in a very "white bread republican world" & most feel that if a man can lead our nation out of this mess we are in they don't care if he is purple! Most of the republicans I know are now very pro-Obama. I think Obama has a lot of good qualities & the thing I like about him the most is he worked his way to where he is today. A respected political leader.

Unfortunately it only takes one person to "kill" the hopes of the many. I think because he is at risk he & his family should be protected as much as possible. Only one person assinated JFK & RFK & MLK & John Lennon etc....

i am white and i am voting for obama and so is my husband, i just had the opportunity to hear hillary's speech at the convention and it was inspiring, i hope these fears are unfounded

The term one bad apple spoils the whole bunch.... I am voting for Obama, not because he is black, but for what i like about him... It is time for change.... regardless of a person's color... One thing about it, i think he should have had Hillary as his running mate, but maybe he didnt want Bill hanging around. I am not politically inclined by any rate, but i see what is happening in this country, and i dont want 4 more years of the same...

People are gonna do evil and it dont matter what color they are... And yes i am African American... And JFK and Bobby Kennedy got assasinated by caucasions.... Hinkley was gonna assasinate Pres. Reagaen... You have crazies in every race, creed and color... Some people will never let go of color of skin, and look at a person's character...

hello glamour, i don't think you were trying to offend white people at all, i think your concerns are legit, i was in 8th grade when kennedy was killed, and some of my classsmates cheered, i hope we never go back to that

You know guys, everyone keeps bringing up race in this election and completely overlooks the fact that SO VERY MANY people would not vote for Hillary simply because she was a woman. That is where the discrimination really is. I wish I had a dollar for every man I have heard say that they would NEVER vote for a woman no matter what. So many men make the same smart remark about what the woman would do at that "time" of the month. (such a sick joke) I feel Hillary was by FAR more discriminated against than Obama ever has or ever will be. Look at the voting rights of women. Black men got the right to vote in 1867, we women didn't get that right until 1920. THAT is discrimination yet when it is simply a woman who is fouled it is over looked completely. I think there were MANY more people refusing the chance of a woman president than a black man period. I don't know where everyone lives but where I am I have NEVER heard a single comment from anyone about Obama's race even being a factor, but TONS of remarks not wanting a woman. JMO but I think the race is being brought up as a bigger deal to Americans that it really is. The vast majority of this country want something better and that means voting for Obama and I feel he will be President. I which he had chosen Hillary and made the unbeatable dream team. But we will take what we can get for the hope of CHANGE that we desperately need.

i also wish he would have picked hillary for VP but i will absolutely vote for him, and i hpoe he and his family will be safe
