i know this is not be as special to us, grownups. we also need to remember that school is starting back up this month.so be extra careful around crosswalks and bus stops. i homeschool my children, but neitherless, i wish all the kids an awesome start back at school! MAY GOD BE WITH YOU ALL!!and keep his hand upon them. |

School starts for me and my youngest brother on Aug. 18. My other brother, who will be a freshman in high school, school starts on Aug. 13. This summer was too short |

on the subject of school..my kids go back Sept 2nd...we still have a month to go..their last day was june 19th...we live in the east so that may make the difference.. |

Wow you live in the east? I've heard it's beautiful. I live in California, but in the boring central valley. We start school early and then get a short summer vacation. But Christmas break is anywhere from 3-4 weeks long, depending on the school district. Have you ever been to Maine? I've heard it's one of the most beautiful places on the East Coast. |

But Christmas break is anywhere from 3-4 weeks long, depending on the school district. Have you ever been to Maine? I've heard it's one of the most beautiful places on the East Coast. Yeah Phoenix Maine is beautiful and so is all the New England states..ME, CT, VT, MA RI, NH all are gorgeous especially during the fall season. we went to new hampshire last year for vaca..and the mountains are spectacular.. we have all four seasons in new england and most are very extreme..except for spring..we usually go from frost to extreme heat.. not so when i was a kid we used to have a really long spring ( but that might just be my memory, i soo loved spring) anyway my kids get off a week at christmas and a week in february and a week at easter then it's school the rest of the times. same as it was when i was a kid! i just wanted to say to you phoenix..it's a pleasure talking to you!!

my hubby's b-day is aug 8th ..same day as the opening show of the olympics..my niece's 30th is aug 9th and three of my brothers all have a child born on aug 11th..whats the chance of that? |

What's even worst is that I have a jury summons for Aug. 12, right before school starts, so I might have to be part of a jury. I respect the constitution and all, but I really do not look forward to this. |
