do ypu think lori drew should pay for the myspace hoax that caused a teen commit sucide? i say yes! what is your opinon |

Lord, i heard that yesterday... Very Sad... I say to some degree... i dont know about the death penalty... but she did aide in the child killing herself.... I wonder if this is gonna set some type of precedent... Then you may tell someone that you dont like em, etc and they decide to kill themselves... would u be responsible for their actions... |

i have been following this story for a while. she posed as a teen age boy to befriend megan(the girl that commited suicide) then she broke it off and said some really awfull stuff to her. telling her qoute " the world would be a better place without her". lori did all this just to see if she was saying stuff about her daughter. this is horrible! i think she should pay for her crime somehow, the state of missouri can not file crimal charges againist because at that time there was no law againist cyber bulling. now there is !!!!!!! but, they can not charge her with it since it came after the ofense. the state of california is charging with fruad and breaking the terms of agreement of myspace. hopefully this will bring some peace to megans family |

People shouldn't just get away with stuff like this. Her attorney is claiming that the girl had to have been already depressed to have done it. That is ridiculous. You treat anyone bad enough and they can be pushed over the edge. people can only take so much especially a child. I wish there was at least some way to stop her from ever being allowed on the internet or around children ever again. Kinda like the same rules sex offenders have about those two things. I so hope it is not just a smack on the wrist. |

parents need to just let their kids work out their problems with other kids and not get soo involved!! They had their youth let your kids have theirs...If something was really serious going on then step in and act like the adult your supposed to be! |

Wow, I haven't even heard about this story...but this is exactly why I try to keep a very open relationship with my kids, and make them feel like they can tell me anything! The girl's parents didn't notice her being so depressed? I'm not blaming her parents but kids should be monitored very closely while using the internet....I have my kid's passwords for myspace and I'm usually right over there shoulder when they are logged on...I try not to miss a beat. And the woman who drove this child to kill herself is a parent??? Wow, she needs some parenting classes.... |

I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS LADY!!!! you mean to tell me thatthis lady actually is raising kids of her own???? she is a nut case and someone needs to get her kids away from her as sooon as possible, before they decide to make devastating decisons like thier mother has done in her life!! this world is full of some outrageous people lately and i just cant imagine teaching my kids somethin like what this foolish mother has!!!! someone needs to slap her, i hope shes happy with herself, and the whole mess shes invited upon her family now!!!! was it worth it? i tell you what people like this just irritate me big time!!!! Okay, this woman was well aware of the fact that Megan (the victim) had a history of depression...apparently Lori Drew is a psycho case herself. I've read that Lori has called the police to her house on several occasions to report damage to her property or harrasment...due to her hoax...she's lucky she's not my next door neighbor is all I'm going to say...crazy people out there!! This is exactly why I try to be friendly with everyone online, you don't know who's on the other end of the computer, or what their situation is...I've defended a poster here many of times on this board, some really mean things were said to her...what if she had commited suicide because of all of the hostility here, ya know? All I can say is that this is a cruel effed up world, and I'm very scared for my kids to have to grow up in it!!! |
