I'm having my favorite couple over for the weekend. They live in center city Phialdelphia, so they'll stay until Monday. We'll grill out, play in the hot tub, maybe play croquet and bocce, just chill and enjoy the company! We'll probably eat and drink too much.....I can't wait. Normally, we drive down to my dad's in Virginia, but I am so sick of the I95 traffic and spending 2 of the 3 days on the road, that I bagged that for this year. I'll visit him on a non-holiday weekend.

Hi Gh,

I don't blame you for not wanting to travel this weekend. I HATE traffic. On holidays you can barely get on the road around here. It is not just holidays though. It is like all of Atlanta empties out every Friday and goes back on Sunday afternoons. The traffic is unbelievable and all have GA tags. I think a lot of them go to the Harrahs Casino on the Cherokee reservation. I like to get home and stay home away fom it all. We have leaf season coming up real soon and the traffic will almost double for that.

I do stay up late. Rei and I are the only ones in our bar that are on EST so we have to wait up on the other guys. Rudy gets on really late for us. I went to bed at 1:45 am this morning and it was sometime after that when she got on. Rudy needs to be a little nicer to me and put the kids to bed at 4:00 pm so she can come play with me and not keep me up all night. *hints to Rudy*

Dcorn, Are you REALLY ok today. I sense you are still stressed from yesterday. Take of yourself girl. I know worry is one of the worst illnessess mankind can face. So many other medical problems have started from stress. I know you got a lot on your mind. I wish I could help.

I love leaf season, bet it's gorgeous up there in the mountains!!! Our backyard ends at woods, it is lovely in the fall.

i am better today ... i got better sleep... my blood pressure got better too1 it was still high over the weekend! we took another day off from school. we will start the week tomorrow. one of the bright sides of homeschooling... i gotta get calmed down.... thank you being such a great friend.....

Hi everyone!

Just to let you know I don't need rain anymore. We have gotten 7.5 inches in last 17 hours and no sign of letting up till late Thursday. Got flooding in the low areas cause it is coming down too hard to soak in the ground. The river which has been so low has jumped up what looks like 3 feet already. A shame it was too late for all the gardens to get any of it. People lost a lot to the drought. ttyl *pulls on my rubber boots and goes out to play*

wanna . the weather is crazy! i hope it stops soon. it floods like that here in s.w. missouri luckly for me where i am at it would take a bibical flood to flood me but not the same a few miles away. i know what flooding is like... we have dealt with it so much this year in s.w. missouri.... this is the first month that we have not set a record for rain fall here this year....

good morning my amazing friends,
i got up at 5 this morning .. it is 6:30 in the morn... i am all ready missing my hubby... anyway, the guy that was in the wreck is alive!!!!!!! it was a cruel rumor that someone(i know who) spreaded that he was dead! he is doing quite well too!!!! my brother talked to his parents yesterday., they are taking the tube out of his skull today, the swelling is going down..... and his catscan showed no spinal cord injury except the break in his neck.. they believe that he will be able to walk. btw, my husband had to talked me out from going to give the rumor spreader a talking to last night!lol. i want to give him (the jerk that spreading it)a real dose of reality! anyways, i will talk to you all when you get up! ttyl

Hi guys! Thanks for the concern. Tons of Fay rain and still coming down. Supposed to stop tomorrow. I will NOT complain over something I wanted and I wanted rain. One county over the town only had enough water to last for 4 weeks. They had closed the car washes, restaurants had to use plastic, paper plates and forks and beauty shops could only shampoo once and no a conditioner. It was a $500 fine if they watered the grass or washed the car. They are so happy to get this.
