America is always going to be in some kind of crises and nobody (politicians) seems to care or say anything about until election year comes around,
so why should we go out and vote for somebody (either Democrat or Republican) who is just going to say and do whatever they think is going to make us vote for them and then get in office and twidle their thumbs.
But I do agree that this country does need some kind of change --in a good way --(no matter which candidate America chooses)

Yes I agree with you this Great country need Great leader, someone who is experience with foreign Policy also know well about the economy,If MC Cain win, which I hope he will,I love Mitt Romney or Huckabee to be his VP.
I follow up the Stock Market to day in wall street through CNBC,the market took a plunge when they heard Obama is locking for Dem.Nominee, some analyst said Democrat is not good for the market, they will raise taxes for the Americans Companies, uncontrollable spending that's what cost this country in deep deficit and of course war in Iraq and Pork spending

Quote mamabing15: Reagan was a crook he only did for the rich never has done anything for the poor and middel class.
things had been a lot better under Clinton he got the economy out of the mess Reagan and Bush left it in.when Clinton left office this country was in the black,we had surplus money in the medicare fund until that idiot of a president we got now used it for the war he started because his daddy didn't do his job and finish what he started.so jr desited he send some of our kids over there and get them killed and has just about every country in the world hate us.

I guess it would surprise you to know that the expansion of the economy actually started in 1982 and continued under the Clinton years, mainly due to one thing. Clinton had the good sense to keep Alan Greenspan as Chairman of the Federal Reserve. Thanks to some handy penwork (those who were unemployed longer than 24 months, didn't count as unemployed, young people working and attending college also didn't count, and businessmen borrowing Peter to pay Paul so that they could get humongous bonuses) Clinton was able to make his administration look good. His own economists told him the economy was headed into the toilet, two years before it happened, but I guess he figured that would be Al's problem. In the end, Clinton pardoned criminals who belonged in jail, in exchange for the almighty dollar.

Nearly every country in the world has "hated" the United States for 60 years or more. This is nothing different. They still come here and enjoy the sights and the shopping trips.

Have you ever heard of a Russian organization called the KGB? Putin was a member. Don't ever get on his bad side. You could end up getting assasinated. There is no country on Earth that deserves the KGB operating inside its borders, not even Russia.

I'm afraid I and others like me took that attitude in the 1992 Presidential elections, and look who won! Even if it doesn't look like there is a good candidate, you must go out and vote for the most capable candidate.

Clinton inherited a good economy due to Reagan's policies.

I was just listen to Fox news ,cant believe Obama lead mc Cain on nationwide poll recently, hope that will change in november,I cant stomach we have majority senate and House R are Democrats and if President also, that wont be good for the Economy according some analyst in wall street.
I hope Mc Cain will win
I was just reading this Asia times edition January this year, see what other countries in the world think of this election, they said US need Leadership but none of available Candidates can provide it,at the end they said Quote 'Vladimir Putin will be perfect for that position, his remarkable achievement in Russian economy and Military speak for itself'.
Iam surprise other country really pay close attention to our election here

Sorry I'll take my chances with Obama, I agree Bush is an Idiot!! and Mcain I dont see him as any different O.K he was a war hero, But that alone wont create the changes we need to help the AMERICAN people. Yes the Democrats have the advantage in the House but the Senate: 100 Total; 49 Democrats, 49 Republicans, 2 Independents, last I knew any bill had to be approved by both Chambers and Finally by the President who has Veto power over it all. I'm sick to death of watching our youth die over a war that will never end, Dont we have things in the good ol' USA that need our attention like the OIL crisis and the housing Market, get off your high horse cause Bush and the republican party are far from all that. I'm ready for change Vote OBAMA.

The housing mess is not the President's fault, nor is Congress to blame. The blame lies solely with the loan industry. These "businessmen" wrote unsound products and in many instances pushed those unsound products as the only type of loan available. Their aim was to solely make as much money as possible. Yesterday, the Illinois Attorney General announced that her office was filing a lawsuit against Countrywide Mortgage, for their business practices. I'm sure as time progresses, other companies will be named in the lawsuit, and lawsuits will be started in many other states by AG's. The FBI has arrested and charged 400 people in this scheme, so far.

Finding an alternative fuel for use and getting off this dependency on foreign countries for fuel is and always has been Congress' responsibility. In the 40+ years that this has been a discussion, Congress has done little to institute a change. It's an election year so don't expect them to do anything this year.

In the last 20 years, it has been a Republican president that got us into a war. Did you know before that, it had been a Democrat that knowingly and deceptively got us involved in two World War's (which caused 100's of millions to die), and two Asiatic wars (which caused millions to die). War is war, but war does not last forever.

If people can't afford health care, what makes you think the federal government can? If businesses want sound and healthy workers, it is up to them to provide health care coverage.

Our relationship with the UN is in the toilet. Yet, they eagerly anticipate the monies that the United States pours into it. Very few countries actually pay their dues, let alone any other monies to support the UN.

The caretakers of our retire funds have been found to be the ones responsible for the high price of oil. How uncanny? We are screwing ourselves in the as....! There are simple fixes, but it calls for OPEC to change it ways of doing business. They need to require futures traders to produce the money for the product bought. These buyers don't even have to have the money to back up what they bought! How many times have you gone to MacDonald's and said, "I gladly pay you tomorrow, for a hamburger today!" It ain't gonna happen. The other simple fix would be to require the "prospecter's" to take possession of the product within, say 90 days of purchase. Talk about layaway!
They keep telling us the bubble is going to burst. Unless, "We the People", push our representatives, nothing will be done.

I pray that when this president leaves office, at the eleventh hour, he does not do what his lecherous predecessor did, which was to sell presidential pardons to criminals for large donations of money! That is an atrocious offense against the people of the United States!
