I just got an email from Nanaof8 and she wanted me to tell you girls how much she misses you and she says Hi!! Her family is sick right now so that's why she hasn't been on lately!! She also told me to tell you she will be back very soon!! I just wanted you girls to know!! Love Ya!!

I NEED EVERYONE TO PRAY FOR MY MOM RIGHT NOW!!!!

She has a mass that was discovered on her right lung. It has to be biopsied for the doctor's to know for sure but they said it looks to be malignant.

I know you are all going through alot as well and we are all on a rollar coaster ride since we are the sandwich generation but I am feeling overwhelmed.
I will check in by this weekend to let you all know the results of the biopsy..or as soon as we get the results.

tess: THANK YOU for calling me yesterday. I promise to speak with you once things settle down.

suzrocks: I got your second email. I will call you once I am able to. Thanks for the email. I really need you gals in my life. You have all become like family to me.

Megan Nicole: I said a prayer for you to have peace over your uncles untimely death. I know that you may not be able to check in right now because of the wake and funeral but you are in my thoughts. I prayer that your family has peace with this.

Ladies & fellow dog lovers,
I have a problem with one of my dogs (not sure which one, but suspecting Flash) who continuously tinkles in the same spot every day while I'm at work. I have wood floors which are buckling bad as a result. Discipline doesn't really work (then again I'm not too good at it). I was wondering if any of you had advice as far as how to stop his attraction to that spot (the floor is ruined & getting worse all the time) AND if any of you know what I can do to save my floor???

Hi everyone. Morning Suz. Sorry to hear about your puppy problem. I have no idea how to fix that. Maybe put something there - like a big plant or chair or something. That will at least make your pup find another spot. Or put those papers you are supposed to potty train them with over the spot. At least then if he still pottys there he won't be making the floor worse. Good luck! I haven't had a chance to get on Myspace - I will try this evening.

Dakota - so sorry to hear about your mom. I hope that everything turns out to be alright with her. That is a very scary feeling. I am glad that your family was OK from the car accident. I am just so nervous driving around lately. That is not a good thing since I have my 2 kids in the car with me all of the time and my drive to work is about 30 miles from my house every morning and evening.

A good friend of mine found out his mom has terminal cancer. They didn't even know that she had it and all of a sudden it has envaded her entire body and they are not giving her through the summer to live. He is getting married at the end of this month and they are not even sure she will make it to the wedding. It is so sad. At least they have a few more months to say goodbye and let her know how much they love her...

I am sorry I am so depressing lately. One spot of good news - the transmission went out on my hubby's truck last week and he has been staying in town to go to work. The truck is getting fixed for free (they are going to honor the warranty!) and he will be home by this weekend. Yay! I hate staying out at the house by myself. I never get any good sleep when he is away.

When it rains it pours.. I'm so sorry. Maybe it is meant for you to go thru a trial of sorts to learn something important. Like me, when I went through Hurricane Katrina would you believe it was mild compared to some other things going on in my life at that time!?!?! Ugh!! Katrina was just like the straw that broke the camels back... I thought I couldn't go on... but then, suddenly, some really great things started happenening... and suddenly I realized I take a lot of great things for granted... and in the end, after about 2 years of heartache and constant struggle... I came out of it a happier, stronger, and much more grateful person.
When I drive to work every day, I count my blessings. Truly, I list them out loud and thank God for each one... this seems to be the best time of day for it because I hate working and can be a real grouch in the morning. Some things I count that are easily taken for granted are: the fact that I have a car and and get to work, the fact that I have a job when so many people are jobless and the economy is in trouble, the fact that I'm physically and metally able to work when so many people are handicapped... etc... I focus on these type of things and decide to be grateful despite all of life's woes.
Focus on having some unexpected quality time with your hubby and make the best of it!!! Everything happens for a reaosn.

DQ thanks for getting that message to Nana for me.

Suz I will ask my husband about your wood floor. My husband does commercial flooring in NY So he does work a lot with wood. He might have a trick up his sleeve. But I have to say from experience that doesn't look good. I had a Mastiff that had seizures and when he came out of them sometimes he would pee, and a few times it was on my hardwood floors. But I was able to clean it up fast, being as though I no longer work. You could try putting towels over that area so if he does go the towel will soap most of it up. Also try asking the vet. They might have a few ideas also.

I can't believe it is almost 11:30 and I am still in my PJ's. I had a bad night last night. My mind kept running and running. I hate that. I'm already on my 3rd cup of tea. Which so far is not helping me wake up...LOL

Looks like the sun is out. YAY

Well have to run I really do need to get my self together. After all I do have to go to the dentist I'm not excited about that. But I am do for a check up.

Dakota, I really am sorry for what your going through, and you and your family will remain in my prayers...no rush in calling me back, take care of what you need to take care of and call me when your ready...just know that I'm here for you if you need me!
Meg...you stay strong and focus on the great things in your life...I know that may seem hard at times like this...but I've learned in difficult times, to look at my kids for comfort...they give it without even knowing...and if not for them, I have no clue where I'd be today! I'll be praying for you, and your family...take care of yourself!!
Suz, your words of wisdom and encouragement to others help all of us, so thank you for that! Also...good luck with your puppy issues...I'm still trying to train sparky to go outside...but you may want to put puppy pads over that spot while your at work, to save your floor from any more damage...I do believe they also sell stuff you can spray on your floor to keep your dog from going back to that spot...as far as the damage already done...maybe some kind of waterproof sealant or something could help...depending on the kind of wood floor you have, you may have to replace that spot...would make it easier if you had those floating floors..the click its or whatever, then that one spot would be easy to replace, anyway, if Kar's husband is an expert in that stuff, he should be able to help!
