Hi Girly, D was having the same problems, too! I suggested that she turn off her computer, wait a minute or two and restart. It has apparently worked. Man, I know how it is when the system is down... I was having problems with my notebook and formatted the harddrive... while reinstalling the operating system, I forgot to pull the networkcable out and ... well, I use Norton security, didn't install it fast enough.. now my internet isn't loading as it should I have a 16,000b line, that means when my girlfriend sends me finished copies of my soaps on the messenger... a data the size of B&B (around 90MB), is finished loading in 3 minutes. Now... hu, hu, hu  And I really don't feel like squashing the system yet another time... GMAB! But I know that when it is playing up too much, I reboot, maybe even pull the router... then it works again. She did login to say that she got home safely last night. Really sweet, I then logged off and went to sleep. If these problems keep occuring, you may just need to close the browser and reboot that. If you are working with Explorer 7.0, then problems are vorprogrammed. That is why I am considering going back to Modzilla, that browser seems to function best. We are still having storm, it snows, rains, the winds are extremely high, everything that isn't nailed down is flying all over the place. Tree branches are scattered all over the streets and it is cold as hell. The kind of cold that makes one want to stay in the bathtub and keep topping off the hot water. I hate when I am so cold that it goes to the bones, then nothing but a hot bath can help. Blueh, that has been that way for days. The sun shined for a whole 10 minutes and now this heavy grey envelopes us here like a blanket. This is not a good winter, more like fall weather and that most of the year. D, to answer your question, yes I am in Germany, I am living directly between the North and the Baltic Seas, in an area call Schleswig. I need about a 3/4 hr to reach the Baltic and 1/2 hr to reach the Northsea. I am 45 minutes away from the Danish border and speak English, German, Danish and Spanish. The later two are not fluent but enough to go shopping, ask for directions and to handle with the vendors at flea markets. Well, maybe that is understating it a bit, but you know what I mean. Oh, now I have to pick up my daughter from school... The wind is howling and will probably be slapping my car in all kinds of unwanted directions. But I will drive slowly, I am used to that... the thing is by such wind I use up alot of petrol, that gets me so mad, ´money isn't worth a thing these days and that cash goes literally up in the air. Well, nothing for ungood, I have get a go-on now. I just looked over and we are at 225, we hit 202 with my post at a little after Midnight my time. Wow, it is jumping over there...which confirms my opinion... we are emmy material! Oh I hope that the strike gets over soon, the emmys are at stake this year and so are all the award shows...  Hope the Networks are finally seeing that they have to contend and give the writer more cash.. I think they deserve it... for that matter, we should be seeing some cash, too! I bet they are scanning the boards and getting material there. JUST NOT THAT WHAT I WANT...boo hoo.... So, will check in later, talk to ya soon, Outland! |

outland: I have been posting sporatically the last couple of days because I am in and out. My husband came home from work at 9am after they closed the schools due to the icestorm. Then he needs the computer for his stuff. Have a great weeeknd!!! |

I always know which page I left off on because I skim through and read them daily. I can start a Mon-Fri thread like DAYS but I don't know if it really matters unless the other ladies are going to join us here. BTW: What does GRuB mean? I notice that you sign all your comments that way. I enjoy the lounge because it is free style talking and not just about the show. Speaking of the show, the DC board keeps getting above 200 posts a day lately.

Good Evening outland: It is close to 7pm here in NY. I think you are six hours ahead of me in Germany. That really is awful about your heat situation. The cost of oil is so high in the states that I try to keep my thermostats at 60. |
