Do not call out other posters. If a person is banned it is not always for life. It is admin's decision to allow a poster back and in fact, this poster who has returned did not go against guidelines. You just did. Please review guidelines and contact staff for issues such as this.

I wanted to go over why this thread was closed temporarily. For the most part, it was to clean up as much negativity in some of the posts as much as possible as well as to remove items that go against our guidelines. There are just a few things I would like to address.

#1- If everyone posted diplomatically with each other and respected each others differing opinions, most of the arguments on these boards wouldn’t exist. Yes, I understand some people join for the sake of trolling and picking fights, and users like that are removed. Instead of taking on those individuals yourself, please report them to us in private so that we can handle the situation on our end so that there are minimal troubles on the board.

#2- Please be cautious of our guidelines. They have been updated recently so it would probably be best if everyone reviews them another time for a refresher. Posting links to other soap sites are not allowed. That rule has not changed, so long time users should have been aware of this already. Please discontinue doing that, this is the one and only warning for that, if it continues than further action will be taken.

#2- We do not like to ban any users, it’s not something we enjoy or look forward to doing. However, when rules are broken repeatedly and nothing has changed then we have no choice but to place a ban. Bans are generally temporary, a lifetime ban is not something that is done on a regular basis, it is vary rare. So please follow guidelines and adhere to any warnings that may be issued from admin, it will prevent any future bans.

Please let’s begin to post civilly with each other again and get back to the fun conversations and debates that have been going on recently.

I have attached a few of the guidelines below for everyone to review. They touch on some of the issues that have been happening lately.

11. We reserve the right to remove any member from the boards without warning (banning) for any reason without notice or explanation. Posting on our boards is a privilege, not a right. While banning is done infrequently, if you try to circumvent a ban, we may take further action. If you post on behalf of a banned member, you may also be banned. You may email us for an explanation, but we are not obligated to respond. (In most cases, people know why they are banned.). We do not, however, delete screen names at request. Once you've registered with Soaps.com we do not permit you to change your username or create multiple accounts. If we find that you have more than one account, we'll delete any extras as we see fit. I am banning myself for a couple of days...don't like that "newbies" come on here and make trouble, yet the vets are the ones that get slapped for the "newbies" behavior .

There are lounge threads tonight that are WAY out of control...why are they allowed to continue?
