I Had To Put Myself On A System The Days I Don't Have Physical Therapy I Work Which Is only Two Days But The Only Down Fall Of It All I Stay Drowsy From all The Pain Medication That I Take So When The Pain Medication Starts To Wear Of I Finish My Work New Year's Eve I Went To Church Before I left Home I Took Some Pain Medication And I Nodded Off In Church

Hi, everyone. I hope the New Year is good to you all. BTW my name is Joanie its much shorter than my screen name. Feeling a little depressed. I was diagnosed with Bell's Palsy right before Christmas and it still hasn't gone away. I feel like I'm drooling constantly, and frankly I'm getting sick of having to use a straw to dreink everything but than again things could be worse. I have to look at it like that. Sorry, I'm having a pity party today. |

Thanks, Cindy. Basically, half my face is numb. They say it's caused by a virus that effects the nerves in your face. I was on meds for 10days but other than that you have to wait. At first, I thought it was stroke, very scary. You have no warning, it literally happened over night. It could take up to nine months for it to go back to normal. My face is drooping a little on that side and I have to wear an eye patch at night because my eye doesn't close fully. Really, though it could be worse. My mom had MS and was quadriplegic so I should be greatful. |
