Good Morning Ladies, We had our church retiree's breakfast this morning. Had a lovely time. Back home, read the paper, reading the boards and got to get busy. Spending too much time on the computer:-( Love reading all (or most) of you ladies posts. (Meaning our regulars) I must write down your names and needs as I cannot remember all. For all that have needs, physical, mental, financial, for all that have family needs, illness, etc. my prayers for you and hope that things will be better soon. Aa a fairly new member here, I can see the love and concern that y'all have for one another. That is so wonderful. Going to finish reading and get busy. Will be checking in and out all during the day. Hugs to all, BonB |

I hope you can feel the strong support you have in your friends here. Suchi, thanx for askin bout my honeynut bear. He's doin better, most of the swellin has gone down in his foot. He's goin back to work. He had dinner ready for me the past 2 nights. He's hopin to retire in bout a 1 1/2 yrs. Gonna be another hot today. hurricaine season is upon us, always happy to hear that . Y'all have a great day, will touch base this eve. Oh how sweet, he does pamper you

Mom is scard but trying to stay calm. I am afraid to say the wrong thing to her but I have been up until 2am everynight researching everything that I can find out about lung cancer. It isn't pretty. I don't want to allow my mind to go into the negative zone but statistics are not in her favor if the results come back what the doctor has determined it to be. It is hard to convey just how scard I am in this post. I am glad to have you all in my life. I just hope that I can stay strong for mom to get through this ordeal.  To add insult to injury...I am going through the beginning of the change and am bleeding all the time and need to see a doctor. God, it is hell being a woman. I need this like a hole in my head right now. Denise, My thoughts and prayers are with you, your mom and entire family. Email me some time, I can share with you some of what I've gone through earlier this year. For me, menopause has not been pretty, the main thing is don't be afraid to ask questions, lots of questions!! Please keep us updated about your mom, stay strong, take care of you and keep the faith! Cindy Can I ask you guys something if you all dont mind?? by 50 menopause should start right?? my mom is 53 and still its not started... i sometimes worry about it, though doc says nothing to worry.. |

Not necessarily, every woman is different. My mom and grandmother started theirs in their forties; I believe my symptoms started in my early forties, which were fairly mild. Some women will talk about hotflashes, night sweats, mood swings, headaches and other variety of symptoms. Again, every woman is different with their symptoms. My advice, read every bit of information you can find, via the library, on the Internet, pamphlets from the doctor's office and ask lots of questions and/or talk to other women who are or have gone through menopause. |

Hubby is out mowing the grass and hoping we'll go our for some fish when he gets thru!!
