Good afternoon ladies...hope everyone is well and happy. So far so good for me as far as avoiding the flu.

Before I forget, don't get discouraged if I don't post right away, I read this section every morning, then I get busy with something else, I am sidetracked easily and constantly!! My busiest times are the end and beginning of the month getting hospital call schedules organized and distributed, which then continue to be revised throughout the month, among my many other duties.

I truly enjoy reading this comment section. I am so glad we heard from Lisa (daisy671). Poor thing, knee injuries can be so painful. Happy to hear from Candy050 too!

Outland- Thanks for the tip, worked like a charm. Some days I can't think straight I get so overwhelmed, I couldn't find the link. I just got a brand new computer and I think lost some of my bookmarks, which shouldn't happen, but did!

The spoilers look interesting, hopefully Taylor gets the help she needs, wises up to slimeball Nick and moves on. Her make up lately has looked so pretty. I loved the silk blouse Brooke had on at the dinner party!

thanks again for all the emails and kind words. Sorry I didn't share much about last week; it really kicked my butt and I'm still recovering emotionally from the lovely blows I took. It amazes me that we have to change to conform to others, but they don't realize their flaws or have to change either. You can do your best and kick some serious butt, but it's never good enough. And the last thing I needed was a damn fall on the ice! but, I'm just taking life one day at a time now!

I'm glad I have such great friends/family to count on! God knows, I don't have my blood relations, despite how large it is!

nanaof8- So happy to hear you're feeling better and your hand is healing. Never an enjoyable time when we're not feeling good. Your husband and I share a birthday, April 4th. Continue to take care of yourself.

ladygg- It doesn't matter if we drive expensive or cheap vehicles, they all break down. We recently bought a Lincoln MKX, love it, but the first week I had two flat tires. It has the tire pressure sensors, which weren't working properly and of course last week when it poured rain, the windshield wipers decided to quit, the motor needed to be replaced.

Lisa- Glad to hear from you, girlfriend. Take care of yourself, enjoy the time away from work, get your thoughts together and when you're ready to go back go as an empowered woman!!!!

I'm a little behind so bear with me. Cindy - glad to hear your future son-in-law is okay. I can relate to the car accidents! My last ones were exactly 1 week apart but thankfully like (knocking on wood) 15 or 16 years ago. Both in snow.... my car was the 1st one; I got sideswipped by an SUV and my car was in the shop so I had my mom's for the 2nd one - turned out her car saved my life. I played tango with a telephone pole (in a downhill snow slide) and lost. The guy who worked on both cars told my mom to thank god because if I'd had my car for the 2nd accident, she would have been burying me instead of standing beside me. Due to the seatbelt and heavy winter coat and clothes, the only injury I suffered was a leg injury. The steering column was jammed into my right leg.

I struggled with which team I wanted to win the Super Bowl. I am a New Englander so, of course, I like the Patriots. But my dad was a HUGE die hard NY Giants fan so I'm glad his team won.

Well, adding pain to injury.. with our bad luck streak...
I drove off to pick up my daughter, went shopping and about 3 miles before reaching home, my gearbelt for the motor snapped and my car died. It is still there. I called my Husband up and he needed an half-hour to get to me, so we walked with the groceries, Lorraines school bag, in that ICE COLD WIND, over 3 miles to get home.

End of story? I will probably need a new motor... cylinderheads and .... were taken hostage and now have been executed! YIKES!!! We are expecting damages to cost around 1000 euros... $1400 US, and that after just spending about $800 in Sept. I have a VW Caddy-family. It is only going to be 6 years old in July.. naturallly everything goes wrong when the guarentee runs out. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

But, after having a long nap, I am up and reeling! Have to get my car towed and that cost money, too! So... you may all welcome me to the club!

Daisy, so happy that you are okay and back to writing with us. It is really noticeable when one of us is MIA... then we don't know what happened and don't want to build horror scenarios in the head.. Thank you that you told us yesterday that you are okay.. well almost. That was really nice.

Nan, thank God that you listened and rested your arm. You can also give up some of that responsibility and as you see, your mom is still okay!! Good to have you back. With Peter and me, it was also love at first sight. We meet 9 years ago and have been together ever since, too! We married in Sept. 2007 and I must say, although I would never have believed it, it just keeps getting better and I fall in love everyday of new. NO Brooke-syndrom for me!!!

Girly, you can speak from luck. Within one week, so much going on... yuck. I am grateful that we only have to worry about my car costing the world, but that is only a car and therefore not the world. Glad that you are here with us and staying the heck away from the flu viren... Garlic really helps, but man, do I stink after that!

Dakota, Peter has birthday on the 13th of August and passes completely to me! My big daughter was born on 27th of October 1978 at 3.00 AM exactly. Schoolbook delivery, at point midnite I got the first contraction and every 15 minutes until 1.00, then every 10 until 2.00 and then every 5 until birth at point 3.00. Don't remember what day that was. My little daughter (who is almost as big as her older sister) was born on the 6th, of December 1998 at 2.54 PM, that was on a sunday and is St. Nickolaus Day... another great german holiday, to her birthday I will tell you all about the traditions and rituals!

Lady, glad that you got home alright yesterday. 70° is really unusual for this time of year... if something is weatherwise in the bush??? You were so funny on the board this last week, really sidebusting fun.. hope it gets crazy over there again real soon, maybe today? Get to see the shows really late at night or on the next morning and they are always more enjoyable as in the Updates, although I wouldn't want to miss the Updates... They hit pretty much the target.

So lovely ladies, I am going over... maybe the updates are posted and I am dying to see what happened. So see you on the updates commentboard!

ladies, this has been a long grueling day for me (and it has nothing to do w the job) having car issues/dealing w the long distance to and from work, putting alot of stress on both cars. my husband, wants me to get a job closer to home (metro, is better in the dc area, than in b-more). the company that i work for was out source to atlanta, they downsize us to a smaller grp here in b-more. i been w the co. (which will be in march) for 14yrs. so, to quit and start a new job is not something i'm willing to do!

I didn't get a chance to read everyones posts throughly. I just skimmed them because I have to go out and will be back later. I will respond to everyone in the later part of the evening because hubby is waiting for me w/his coat on and I told him I would be ready to go. I don't want to make a liar out of myself. I will be back!!!

Outland, I did get to the Fasching Vids website. There were a ton of different snipits of it. Looks like everyone is having a great time.

It's also nice to know that there is true love out there. I was married for 33 years and was miserable.

Sometimes I wish I could find someone but I've been divorced since 1996 so I'm pretty set in my ways. Besides I don't think there is anyone out there for me.

Lisa, Glad to hear you are back to work. Don't let anyone put you down or give you a bad time.

I got to tell you guys, I have more fun of the soaps.com, criminal minds.com and now this. Makes the time go by fast. I meet new people from everywhere and enjoy all the conversations.

Once I retire, July 11, 2008 at 530P but who is counting, I have more time on the computer.

girly 51, ladygg, and outland: Car trouble sucks!!!
It doesn't matter what vehicle type it is, anything mechanical will fail eventually. Usually, like you both said, it happens when the warrrenty is expired.
In June of 2006, a guy slammed into me at a stoplight and did over $7000. in damage to my car. Luckily it wasn't totaled and his insurance paid the bill. I still had to be checked and xrayed due to my jaw, just to be safe. My husband was w/me and luckily we weren't injured. Everytime, since that happened, when I see a large truck in back of me tailgating, I panic.

As far as the zodiac charts, It is a computer program that I have to locate from where I worked awhile ago. It is fun to do. I can tell the basics of the signs but that gets into the nitty gritty details that include all areas of your chart. It is fun to read.
