It didn't really matter to me what team won as I'm not a fan of either and especially not of Tom Brady who played his college football at the University of Michigan, which is Ohio State's major rivalry. But, like so many, I was glued to the tv the entire game, just couldn't shut it off and the last 2 minutes were unbelievable. I am thrilled for Eli Manning and head coach Tom Coughlin, best Super Bowl to watch in years!!! I also loved reading about Fasching, I am just intrigued with learning so much about different cultures, religions, customs. Our faculty is from all over the world, staff and visitors I come in contact with; I've learned some interesting facts about Ramadan, Jewish customs, it's all so fascinating to me to sit and talk and learn how people live their lives all across the world. Glad you got your heating problems squared away, I had to have a thermostat replaced yesterday, noticed it was making weird noises late Saturday afternoon. Fortunately it wasn't too cold outside that it was uncomfortable in the house. Dakota- I love a nice glass of Reisling, which is my fav!! They say a red wine is good for the heart, so I may have a glass of Merlot from time to time, not often though. Hope everyone is faring well healthwise, my two daughters have both had the flu the past couple of days, and have spent at least two days in bed so it's not the 24 hour kind of flu. I am so hoping I do not get what they've had. My future son in law had a car accident on the way to work this morning, it's pouring rain here complete with thunder and lightening and apparently he fish-tailed and hit a concrete wall, sustained damage to both front and rear of his car, he's shaken up but not hurt. His mom and I still want him to get checked out to be sure. We're not doing so well on the roads lately!! Let's see, what else while I have a few minutes, Lisa (daisy) hasn't posted yet this week, I hope everything is all right with her. I emailed her on Thursday, haven't gotten a response from my second email so I hope everything is ok with her and her son. I worry about folks when I don't hear from them in a while. Oh, I am an Aries, not so much into zodiac signs so I don't know if that's good or bad! (birthday is April 4th. I know what I wanted to ask, how can I catch episodes of B&B on youtube? I had a bookmark and somehow it disappeared! That's all for now. Chat again later! Cindy Hi Girly!!! I love Merlot and Cabernet Savignon! UMMMMM Lecker! Might explain why I don't like to drive so much now in the city, now when I go home to visit, which is a smaller rural type community, I don't mind the drive at all. I agree with what you said about strong women, they show these women as weak, needy, whiney and threatened; I guess that's why I get so aggravated with the writing. For me, right now, I have no favs on B&B, I'm all about family, simple, uncomplicated lifestyle. I wish they'd go back to how they presented the show years ago when it was about the Forrester family, fashion and elegance and about Steph not liking Brooke, the girl from the valley not good enough for her family...it wasn't the malicious, destructive, hateful behavior we're seeing now. They've taken SL's to a whole new level, a level that's unrealistic and sometimes shocking. I wonder if they took it to an hour long show, add characters and write more SL's that are believable if it would be beneficial. Sometimes I wonder if the current writer's are half asleep, drunk or could just really care less about how the viewers perceive such nonsense. Ia, they need to start focusing on the fashion again. I think they need to add more characters b/c the whole Brooke/Ridge destiny crap has been going on for ages.(yawn). I was so pumped when they added Nick....dang whats his name...I loved him on Melrose Place. Yes bring in some more fresh new actors and/or characters and I'd probably start watching consisitently again. |

Candy 050 and Daisy have come out of hiding.. both with health issues, I am so glad to see them, maybe they will show up here soon. Speaking of B&B I just really wish that they'd put Nick with Brooke already if they're going to do it, I am not digging this s/l at all it's making me yawn. Poor Taylor I would lose it if I was in her position but then again I would have also gone very far away and found myself a different man that had been unspoiled by Brooke. Thanks, Outland and Dakota for remembering me in your posts. That was so SWEEEET. It makes you feel in the middle of things just to see your name mentioned occaisionally. Thanks. Good morning to you and to anyone that I may have missed. I have thoroughly enjoyed all your posts the last few days. Things like these boards keep you from going off the deep end when you are stuck at home and can't do anything else. Dakota, Outland, Tunes, Suz, and anyone that I may have left out that gave me such great advice, I took it. My daughter in law took over the duties with my mom (so graciously) and I rested my arm and hand since last Friday. It worked wonders for me, and I now I know that I don't have to be the one doing everything, and that if I let them, other people will step up to the plate when they are neede. I have always felt that my mom was my responsibility and that was the end of it. Thank God for your wonderful advice, and the fact that God gave me enoough sense to take it. I love, love, love all of you, and I am so proud that you let me be your friend. I have kept up with all your posts, wrecks, jobs, children, husbands, weather, weddings, and the new people posting. The thing that stuck with me to ask about is the astrology thing. I am a Leo (probably already figured that one out with my strong, takeover will), my birthday is August 14, and I was born about 4pm, but I can't remember what day. My husband, Earl, is Aires, April 4, but I haven't found out what time or what day. This is second marriage for both of us. I have son and daughter, and he has son. We have raised all three since the youngest, my daughter was 5 years old. Our significant others decided that they wanted someone else, and that put me out into the work field, since my first husband and I had our own business. I met Earl about 6 months after I went to work at Hall of Ms. in Corinth, Ms., where we still live. It was love at first sight, and we have been together ever since. He is truly my best friend. Did I do good Dakota? oops, Dr Dakota lol |
