Quote NYDrama: Hi girls! Was a crazy day for me today, had my son sick w/fever and kept him home. Had to take my youngest son to an eye doctor and found out he needs glasses. He's so little and very active, this should be interesting. Oh well, I'm sure I'll have stories to tell w/that one!
Watched DWTS and was very sad to see my hunky Rocco go home. He was good eye candy, who cares how he danced! ANd so gracious and kind, me likey! I'm sure Brooke will win, she's been amazing and consistent too. Loved the fake ads they made of all the contestants-funny!
Roe-that's right, you show them what you're made of hon! Live and learn, right? You know who your friends are.
hugs to all and nighty-night!!
I have seen more and more kids getting glasses these days and they are little too. If he does sports, you are going to have to get him those special sports glasses that are pricey. My friend had to get them for her son to play soccer. They are not like when we were little, glasses are common and look nice. I wear glasses at night, I wear contacts in the day. Are they glass or plastic? I know I had to wear glass because they were better but also heavier. Should be an experience that's for sure. Good luck. Thanks for the advice but I don't quit that easy nor do I let someone get one over on me either. So glad I heard them when I was in my car, it made them look so guilty, just their faces was priceless. I will be back on Tuesday and they will be in for some surprise.

Oh, Gval, you should go with your husband! There's nothing like it!
I used to ride with him on the back of his cycle before he got the sidecar. I was 57 yrs. old when I went for my first ride. He told me he was amazed at the great balance I had in the turns. I didn't make us wobble once. I haven't ridden since my long hospitalization and convalescence. Don't think my bad back could take it anymore. I could ride in the sidecar but haven't, so far. It sure was fun! He even took my 90 yr.old dad for a ride a few months before he died. His nurses wheeled him down the hall to the parking lot, singing "BORN TO BE WILD!!" at the top of their voices. When they got back, Dad said the only thing wrong with the ride was that it didn't LAST long enough!! hee hee That was my dad!!
Thanks for your prayers for little Rocco. I'll tell my landlord when he gets home. He's riding today with a group of cyclists as part of an honor guard who are escorting the 'Moving Wall' to a town nearby.

Quote MaryAnn42: Gals, I have a favor to ask. My landlord has been participating in motorcycle rides for charity lately. I've told him how we are always saying prayers for each other. This morning, he told me that the 5-yr.old boy, Rocco, who rode in his sidecar last weekend, during one of these charity runs, is in the hospital and not doing well. He has C/P and can't talk. His movements are impaired and he has a feeding tube in his stomach. He's been afflicted since birth. He's a courageous little guy and my landlord asked me if I thought you gals would please add him to your prayer list. I said that I'd ask you. It would be greatly appreciated. He was going to call the boy's mother today to see how he's doing and said he'd tell her that others are praying for him.
Thanks! You're the best!

Hey Mary Ann ~~~ It breaks my heart any time a child is sick. Of course, Rocco will be in my prayers. I'm fixing Wayne some dinner, so I'll be back on a little later. Love Ya's, Susie

Hi ladies!
MA-my prayers are being sent for sweet little Rocco. God Bless him.
Had my son w/me again today, so was occupied. Went to pick up some pumpkins and his homework. Also went took my little one to try on eyeglasses and he looks too cute! Anyway, they are expensive and they're giving me a spare pair also. The glasses are pretty child proof w/flexible frames and shatterproof lenses. Thanks for your comments GVAL and Roe, this kid is surely showing me all the things I never knew w/my other 2 kids. I heard about the sports glasses, I'm sure we'll get there soon! He's turning 4 on Oct 27 and in these 4 years, he's taught us alot!!
Roe-I went to Dunkin Donuts and tried the pumpkin coffee-very good!! And I'm not a pumpkin fan either. Though, it looks like the 99 cents is only from 2pm-6pm on weekdays. Is it different for you?
It was an absolutely GORGEOUS day here in NY and I was so thankful to God for giving this to us. I stood on my back deck and thanked him over and over for the beauty of fall, the changing colors of the leaves, the sun shining down on us and the beautiful blue sky. Sometimes, it's the simplest things that put me in such a good mood, and I am ever so grateful. I feel fall and spring are so short, it's worth the time to sit outside and soak it all up!
talk to you later!

Hey mA-I loved your motorcycle story about your father!!! How great to have had him so long and w/such a great attitude!!!! I can't imagine how you or the nurse felt as he got on. Sounds like he must have been a fascinating man~ Lucky lady! I'm scared of them and have riden only once, on my cousins bike. My hubby got into a horrible accident, riding w/a friend, before we met. That fixed his wagon real fast. Thank God!

Susie, our Dr.McDreamy is on tonight. Thank goodness the last debate was on last night. We won't have to worry about anymore pre-emptions.
Who's coming to GNO tomorrow? Raggs said she had an idea for our theme. I emailed her a little while ago and asked her to let you all know what it is.

Good mornig ladies, this computer is slow this morning. SOrry I missed all the early birds, I have started my cleaning early and am still not finished. Today is a nice day, I think they might have said rain later on but so far, it's nice out so I will enjoy the few hours we have left.About GNO, I might be late or not here at all. They are having fright night at the church by us, it's a very old church with a very old cememtary next to it and this weekend only they set it up for Halloween and I heard it's real scary and we want to go so it starts at 7pm but Mike gets home at 8pm and it ends at 10pm so hopefully, it's not too crowded and we can go. So, I will try and have one drink with you girls tomorrow if you are all still online. I will be so nervous for Saturday, I did mention that I am meeting STEVE BURTON on Saturday right? I will need that drink to calm me down. Well, back to house cleaning. Good day today for Jason/Liz fans, they are on together today and tomorrow. Bye for now.

Hey Girls ~~~~ Big Waves from Sunny GA!
It's a very pretty day here. The local weather says a 40% chance of RAIN tomorrow! YIPPEEE! Then the temps are supposed to be cooler over the weekend.
I watched the last debate last night. NO comment! hehehe I'm sooooooo glad it was on last night and doesn't pre-empt our Grey's Anatomy and Life on Mars tonight. I'm so ready to drool over McDreamy!
I too may be late for GNO! I've been invited to go w/ Kathy and my 'munchkins' across the street to a 'Haunted House!' Isabelle has never been to one, so I can't wait to see her reaction!! I think it's over at 10PM, which is past their bedtime, so I don't know if we'll be home sooner or not. I guess it depends on how crowded it is. Did we ever find out the theme that Raggs has for us for GNO? Maybe we're going on a hayride??? hehehe I'll be on good behavior tomorrow night since I'll be w/ the 'munchkins' before coming to GNO!
I need to get up from here and finish watching GH, then start Wayne some dinner. I'll try to get back a little later. I love Ya's, Susie

Good morning ladies rise and shine, where is everyone? I already had my green tea. It's a nice fall morning here in NY, the weekend is suppose to be cool which is ok. I have so many things to do today and tonight, I will be needing that drink later on. I did mention that I will be alittle late but I will be here even if it's for only one drink. Susie the hayride theme is not bad, since Halloween is coming, that's not a bad idea. We can get into alot of trouble on a hayride.

Good Morning everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everything is finally back to normal in the homefront.
Erin's birthday was a smashing success and boy did she get spoiled. I knew I shouldn't have gone out and bought her warm clothes yet, she got like 20 outfits. She made out even better with toys and Toys R Us gift cards.
The day after her birthday we took her to Dorney Park to meet Snoopy. we were there until 9pm and didn't get home until 11pm so she slept in until 9am.
I took her Tuesday on a hayride and went to a pumpkin patch and she picked out her own pumpkin. She picked out a real small one which I thought was really cute, just her size.
Yesterday she went for her one year check up and got her ckicken pox shot and another booster. She now weighs 19lbs 3oz, and her length is 29.5 inches. She's in 12 month pants and 18 month shirts because she has big shoulders like me.
Well now for the funniest update. My daughter no longer calls me mama. She now calls me Crystle. She's been doing this for about 2 weeks now. Jeff thinks it's absolutely hysterical.
Gval and Roe thank you so much for the cards you sent for Erin.
Well I'm going to finish my laundry, I have about three more loads right now.
