good morning ladies, it looks like i am the first to post today. cjsmom i want to wish you a late happy birthday and many many more and happy years to come.
and dm it didnt hit me till last night when i heard it on the news happy thanksgiving i hope you had a wonderful holiday. raggsies how are you feeling today? maryanne where are you this morning its cloudy here in ny. i will check back later have a good day. did everyone see gh i am getting to like olivia i was cheering her on when she told claudia off. you would think she was born in brooklyn.

Good morning, Gval, and everyone. I've been answering emails this morning. Raggs said to tell you all that she'll be here around lunch time. She's catching up on her backlog of emails and then touring the farm to check up on her critters. She hasn't seen them since she got back from the reunion. She's been 'pooped'. Can't imagine WHY?? That girl gives off more energy than an electric company!

Gee, we still haven't heard from Dmom and Mommieof1 since their celebrations last weekend. Their 'party fuse' must have blown out. hee hee
Come on, gals, we need updates!

It's cloudy here today, too, but warm. My squirrels are playing tag on the lawn and the bluejays are screeching at them. So silly!

Susie, did you watch DWTS last night? Cloris was actually GOOD! She sure can lift her legs! I was hurting, just watching her. I'm still cheering for Brooke and Derek. HOT, HOT, HOT!!!


NY, you must be TOO YOUNG, if you don't know those apple songs. They were from a classic 'Walt Disney Presents' Frontier World eppy about the movement West. Cute movie about the pioneers on their wagon trains, the story of Johnny Appleseed, Paul Bunyon. There might have been more. I've got the VHS tape around here somewhere. The songs were the kind that stuck in your mind.


Oh, Raggs has a great idea for GNO this Friday. Remind her to tell you all about it.

In my post to you yesterday I sent 'hugs to your little guy'. Realized after you posted that I'd made a mistake. I was thinking you had another little boy. I'm so sorry for the mixup. Please pretend it was a 'senior moment', which I seem to have a lot of lately.

MA- no apology necessary sweetie. It was so nice of you to think of me! And I have my own "senior moments" Especially today, since I think I must have had 1 too many martini's last night and at my age, I don't seem to bounce right back....good thing it happens only once a year--excluding GNO. What is Raggs idea for this Friday? Our computer at home blew up and we have not replaced it yet, so I may hang at work for a while and join you girls...Will there be shirtless men?

I am so tired of the drama,I swear, I am 41yrs old and I don't need drama in my life anymore. I do lunch duty on Tuesday's it's volunteer work and we have fun doing it. Anyway, I am in the parking lot ready to leave putting my bluetooth on to call Mike and I hear the 2 girls talking about me in the parking lot but they didn't know I was in the car. Well, I felt so bad because I thought these girls were my friends. When they saw me looking at them, one got in her car and the other came over to me and I told her to just get away from my car and I didn't want to talk to her. It turns out that I volunteered for lunch duty and that means in the morning, I help count the money and give out the pizza, that's all I knew my job was. Apparently, it's more than that but noone told me so if noone told me, how am I suppose to know this? So, they were ragging on me saying I don't do anything, in the meantime, I work my butt off, but I didn't know that I had to recount the money, bring it into the office and then at the end of the day, take the books into the office and any extra money that the kids may have forgotten to give in during lunch time. So I was so upset and I called my friend Christina who said that I was right, if I didn't know they should not have been talking about me. So, I called up Nancy who is in charge of the lunch and told her. I said if you would have told me to do this, of course I would have helped you, I thought I was just there to count the money, serve the pizza and that was it. I had no idea and it was your job to tell me this. She said she thought I knew, and I said if I knew then I would have been helping you all this time and you just let it go and then I had to hear you talking about me in the parking lot behind my back when you should have just come over and said something to me and then I would have told you I had no clue as to what I was suppose to do. She apologized and said she should have but the damage has been done, what was said can never be taken back so I don't know if I am going back on Tuesdays anymore. It hurt me more that they didn't come to me instead of talking about me behind my back. We are all grown adults and there is no need for this BS. My husband said not to go back but I do this for my kids, they are happy to see me on Tuesdays and out of all the girls that do this, Tuesday's crew were very nice but now I am not so sure. You had to see Nancy and Kim's face when they saw that I caught them talking about me. Kim has an attitude to begin with but I ignore her and go with the flow. Now, I am have to think about what I am going to do. But I did call Nancy because I was upset and I told her how I felt, I wasn't just going to let it go away. Ok, ladies, thanks for listening, I had to get this off my chest.

roe i would of been upset also that is why i never bother with the pta . i helped in the class room and i was class mother to many times to count. but i didnt bother with the air head mothers and that is what they are. please dont be upset it is not worth it and your husband is right dont go back and help them. let them do it themslves. i am sure betwwen the two of them they could count and if they cant who cares.

Roe, OK, so you didn't ask me but here's my 2-cents worth, anyway.

First of all, I'm sorry this happened to you because you seem to be one of the most dedicated moms I've ever seen and you didn't deserve this slap in the face. I know it stings right now but, remember the 3 R's, Relax, Relate, Release.

The folks in charge should make things right. Here's what I'd do, if I were them. I'd call everyone together and, in front of them, offer you an apology. Then, it should be explained that I, or whoever was the offender, hadn't fully explained to you what your duties entailed. I would then ask if anyone else had questions about 'their' jobs, because nothing like this should happen again because of misunderstanding. I would finish up by saying that you all were a nice bunch of gals to volunteer your valuable time and that it is very much appreciated.

Roe, perhaps you might suggest that this be done. Sometimes it's better to let things go, but THIS isn't one of them. You've been hurt and amends should be made to you.

Well, you got a little more than 2-cents worth but chalk it up to 'inflation'.

Thanks for putting your 2 cents in everyone. Maryann, it's not done like that as far as sitting down. Nancy and I are in charge of Tuesday lunch apparently I didn't know that I was but I am now. I didn't know my whole job descriptioin and if I was told, I would have done my job. After Nancy got in the car and Kim came over to me, she has a big mouth to begin with, I made her feel very small because she didn't know that I didn't know what my job was after she told me all this stuff, I looked at her and I said well don't you think I should have been told instead of you all talking about me week after week, you should have came to me like adults and discussed this with me. I will probably go back on Tuesday because of my kids and it's the only lunch that I like doing but they are going to see a very cold person now, I don't need to joke around anymore or talk to them, I will do my job and when I am not, I will go over and talk to the kids, including my own and make them see how I can be if you do what you do to me and lets see if they apologize to my face this time. One thing, I will never be friendly anymore with anyone from that school again.

Hey Roe ~~~ I'm so sorry you had such an upsetting day. I agree w/ all the advice the girls gave you, but, it sounds like you have a good handle on it! You volunteer your time for the boys. Confronting the other 2 moms, and then continuing to volunteer for the boys, shows you are a bigger person! Pat you on the back!

Hey MA ~~~ I did watch DWTS last night. I agree w/ you about Cloris! I'm not limber enough to kick my leg up that high NOW! Also like you, I think Brooke Burke and Derek are doing great and show the most potential thus far to win! The Results show just came on. I think Rocco will go home tonight. Thanks for the site to rid my house of FLEAS! HEHEHE I meant to ask you before....those plug ins that you got to get rid of the ants.....do they work for fleas Just curious! hehehe

Hey Raggs ~~~ I'm so glad you had a good reunion w/ your family. When you feel up to it....I'm curious what Dr.Z had to say for himself. I'm glad you're not going back to him! I would never trust his judgement again! Is your medical doctor going to take over as your pain doctor, or is he referring you to someone else? Hooray for Gary! He takes such good care of you. We love him for it! Big hugs to Gary!

Hi girls!
Was a crazy day for me today, had my son sick w/fever and kept him home. Had to take my youngest son to an eye doctor and found out he needs glasses. He's so little and very active, this should be interesting. Oh well, I'm sure I'll have stories to tell w/that one!

Watched DWTS and was very sad to see my hunky Rocco go home. He was good eye candy, who cares how he danced! ANd so gracious and kind, me likey! I'm sure Brooke will win, she's been amazing and consistent too. Loved the fake ads they made of all the contestants-funny!

Roe-that's right, you show them what you're made of hon! Live and learn,right? You know who your friends are.

Good morning ladies I am on early because my kids get out early today, it's Wed. and I need to go food shopping or I will have nothing to eat in this house. For those of you who might like or go to Dunkin Doughnuts, here in NY, on Wed. a small coffee or even a latte is only 99 cents and the pumpkin flavor is really good and I don't like pumpkin. Also, if you didn't see it, please go to youtube and watch it, GHNightShift was FANTASTIC! I laughed, I cried, it was the best show last night on tv, best show ever for a GH show, just like old school. The show was called Past and Present,the opening was the old theme song from GH with the ambulence. Then it dealt with Robert in a coma and they showed you him going back to his old apartment when he first met Robin so they had her there in the flowery dress and then they showed you the first one when it aired in 1985. Tiffany,Luke, Sean, Anna, Mac, were all on and it was great. They went back and showed you old clips. Luke was so funny when Robert said he liked the 80's and Luke said he hated them "did you see my hair back then". Too funny.Just everyone go and find it on youtube because you will not be disappointed, it was the best I have ever saw.

OMG, I'm about to have a heart attack! I just watched 29 yr.old Nik Wallenda, 7th generation member of the Great Wallendas, set a new Guinness World Record for walking across a high wire, 250ft.across and 135ft.(13 stories) above the ground, to a platform and then riding a bicycle back across the same wire which was rigged between the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. and another building. He did it with NO SAFETY NET and his wife and 3 children watching him, along with a crowd of people. The "Today Show" covered it from start to finish and you could almost hear everyone's heart pounding as he performed it. WELL, HE DID IT!! A rep from Guinness was there to award him the record. He was asked what he'll do next to top this and he said that he'll walk across the Grand Canyon next year and that he has all his permits and is set to go.

I'll tell you, my B/P is right up there this morning.
OMG, if he'd fallen, millions of people would have witnessed his death. All he had was a balance pole, both walking and biking. He had a moment of terror about the last 15 feet when the bicycle's back wheel lost traction and was slipping on the wire. Very scary.

OK, that's your wake-up story for this Wednesday Hump Day.
I'm sure Nik is glad HE made it over the 'hump'! Thank you, God!!

Hope you gals all have a great day. Tonight's the final debate between John & Barack. Let's hope we hear something to aid us in our decision making on Nov.4th.

roe good for you dont let anyone get you down. they are lucky to have a caring person like you and they are most likely jealous of you, they are not worth a second thought you do what you have to do for the boys. and dont let anyone push you around. susie how is everything in georgia today. here in ny it is supposed to be 70 degrees today and the sun is out. mitchell started wrestling so i start some running around. work is a little quiet but at least we are still working cant afford being with out a job. dm,mommy,maryanne,raggsies, ghfan and cali hope ebverything is well with you girls. talk to everyone later

Gals, I have a favor to ask.
My landlord has been participating in motorcycle rides for charity lately. I've told him how we are always saying prayers for each other. This morning, he told me that the 5-yr.old boy, Rocco, who rode in his sidecar last weekend, during one of these charity runs, is in the hospital and not doing well. He has C/P and can't talk. His movements are impaired and he has a feeding tube in his stomach. He's been afflicted since birth. He's a courageous little guy and my landlord asked me if I thought you gals would please add him to your prayer list. I said that I'd ask you. It would be greatly appreciated. He was going to call the boy's mother today to see how he's doing and said he'd tell her that others are praying for him.
