Quote GHRocks23: Quote efizzle: Quote GHRocks23: TOP OF THE MORNING TO ALL!!!! So glad that ESPNCL shows the game of the week for NCAA bball. UNC vs. MD. Why did Hansbrough take that shot, where was Ellington? Any way, I was so bummed out about UNC losing. I kinda knew it, because it was halftime and me not liking surprises, went to the internet to see who won. Kinda like looking at spoilers for soaps. Don't know about anyone else, but I talk to my screen alot during sports, like ... take it, shoot, no don't shoot you dummy, awesome, smart, ok back it out, set up, drive dummy drive.... crazy I know. Anyway, still watched it and yelled ... and called people stupid ... and all the while hoping the internet was wrong... it wasn't, lost by 2 .. Still doing laundry. For three people, we sure have loads of laundry to do. Thank goodness our dogs don't wear clothes cause I'd have more to do. Trying to teach my daughter to do her own. I keep telling her she needs to learn sometime. You are the bomb! I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE UNC!!!!! Boo hiss they lost!!!!!! I haven't been able to watch the replays because my son is obsessed w/ NFL Network. He's sitting in here with his Ladanian Tomlinson jersey on and his Green Bay packers pajama pants... it is a sight to see! LOL That's too funny and that would be a sight. Who is he going to pick and root for when they both make it to the Superbowl? He said to tell my soap friend that he is going for the Chargers in the Superbowl because they are going to beat the Pats. Now he's saying the Giants are going to beat the Packers. His uncle's best friend is the running back, Brandon Jacobs, so that's why he is claiming they are going to win. I wanna see Favre go back! |

Quote GH FAN 4 LIFE: Good Mornig everyone. First of all Mommyof1 my prayers are with you. I know what it is like to suffer personal lost. I hope that you will chat with all of us if this makes you feel better. Do not want obe pushy. Just wrap your arms aroungd yourself and your baby and know we are all "hgging" you as well. I was catching up on the post/lounge. Wow and OMG. My youngest son had a basketball game last night, and he did not get to start. He is a freshman in college abd after 21 games he has dropped to the 4th spot in a point guard position. He hardly gets any minutes on the floor. I was very emotional last night My daughter is only 13, 14 soon, in 2 weeks. She is in the 8th grade and not bad for our area. I take her to the city in the off season, alot of traveling, to play AAU. We've gone to Nationals and everything.. well Nationals 2 years ago, this past year they didn't make it. I tell my daughter that I would like for her to use this talent to get her college degree, even if she has to sit on the bench all four years. She looks at me like I am crazy cause I know they have their hearts set on playing the entire time. It's hard cause you know they want more than just to sit there watching, they love it so much it hurts. Just be there for him, be his comfort and listen. There's really not much more you can do and I've learn that sometimes saying too much doesn't help. I instill Education as #1. I hope he is feeling better. It sucks, but tell him to be patient. My daughter hasn't had to fight her way onto any starting positions yet, but I think this year she's going to have to. We are going to have her try out for 16 yr old teams in AAU. Something that she needs, she isn't challenged enough and she needs to work hard for it if that's what she wants. This season will be challenging for her. She's not getting great coaching at the junior high level so that's more frustrating for me and her at the moment. It's pretty bad when the entire team says "No coach we didn't do well at all!" I'm thinking ok, yes they are girls, but they are big enough to handle the truth, don't baby them. I would rather she play with the 8th grade boys, it's that bad. I have found that there are so many things learned on the court that they can apply to everyday life, things like never giving up, want it bad enough, you have to work for it, an opportunity arises take it head on, etc. etc. |

Good afternoon girls. Hi efizzle. Yeah the girls went to bat for us - it was great to see. But then again, we have a great little family here. Did you see that post that I did to the person on the other site? I kept it calm and didn't say all i wanted to either. |

Hey Nicfan7... cold in Ohio too. I hate the winter. That warm front 2 weeks ago just made me mad to no end, cause it made me wishing for an early spring and now look, I can't seem to get warm this week. |

I will try not to say too much. My son tore his acL/knee injury which we know can be a "carrer killer" for a bball player. He was an emotional wreck. He ws the staring PG and he wanted so much to play with his team his final year to go for the championship and also paly in the "all star game" at the end of the year. He aked me and his doctor "has anyone ever played with a torn ACL?" His ortho doc said no but he would only allow him to do so if we bough him this speacial brace and he "beefed up" his quad muscles. So of course we discussed it and said if this is wha youwant to do we will support you. However the doc did say plating injured may hurt him more. He did not care. So $$$$ laters and four weeks of rehab we got the brace( of course our HMO would not cover) and he played. Not only did he make it to the CIF game (we did lose) but he played in th ALL star game and game in first place in the 3point contest. They did a little articlein out local paper, about his determination and perserverance. I am sorry dod not mean to brag, but I am so proud of him. Unfortunatly no UC offered him a scholership so he ended up at a JC. Ok I said enough. I guess I was jut hoping that a coach would bemproud to have such a fine young man on his team and my boy has so much heart!!! |
