Hello to all. Guess nobody has shown up for GNO. I didn't think they would with it being a long holiday weekend. Besides, all of us are too worried about Cali, and all her family is going through right now, to be in a party mood.

I do want to toast GH Fan whose birthday is tomorrow, 8/30. I know she's been away on vacation but she might have come home by now. So, GH,
here's wishing you a wonderful birthday! Hope you had a great vacation.

Cali, Auntiep had suggested a group prayer for you tonight during GNO. Since I seem to be the only one here right now, I'll say one and the others can add theirs as they come on.

Dear Lord, we come to You this night, seeking Your blessings on Cali's entire family as they suffer through this difficult test of Faith. We ask that You give them strength and guidance to see them through and love and patience to support each other in their pain. We ask for Your mercy and healing touch for Dave, knowing that You, alone, will decide what is best for him and we must trust in that. We thank You for all the blessings You, so generously bestow on us each day. Amen

Finally! Very difficult to come on this site!
Peace and love to everyone, may we all survive all our trials, big and small. At times like this, we can only lean on God. Of course, it also helps that this group of gals is always here praying too.

Hey my sweet, adorable Raggs ~~~ I'll take you at your word you are NOT overdoing it! My pickled pears turned out sooooooooooooo pretty! I labled them....'Raggs Recipe 2008'! hehehe I'm going to do another batch next week. I love to make gift baskets w/ different canned stuff in them for Christmas, etc. Thank you so much for the recipe. It was perfection! hehehe Hugs to Gary! Hope he feels better soon! OK Girls ~~~~ I feel lucky I finally got on tonight. Even if I missed all of you! I spent the most delightful day running around w/ my M.I.L.! She's also a Breast Cancer survivor, and we have so much in common. Not just Wayne! hehehe We drove through Houchston, GA. They have a Community goal going on to beat the Guiness Book of Records for the most 'scare crows!' Driving through is totally amazing! They have over 4000 scare crows! One school has an entire football team of scare crows in the field next to the school. One of the churches has an entire choir set up in front of the church. There's a scare crow riding a horse. A scare crow family having a cook out. A military group of scare crows. These people have amazing imaginations! Each fence we passed was lined w/ scare crows. All labled and accounted for. I was like a kid again! All goo goo eyed, and ohhing and ahhing all the way through! It was such fun! hehehe We spent the day together. I loved it. I got home right before Wayne. He decided he wanted Mexican for dinner. I called it in, then headed out to get it. They were packed when I got there. I got my 'to go' order and headed back home. I stopped at the liquor store and got some Jose for Margaritta's. Got home and opened my order....and WHAT THE MOP IS THIS? If you guessed 'wrong order' you were correct! hehehe SOOOOOOO.....I get to make another trip out to get the RIGHT order! We're 'regulars' and the hostess knew why I was back before I said a word! I even got a complimentary Margaritta while I waited! NOT BAD! hehehe By the time I got the right order, got back home, it was 9:30 for us to be eating our dinner! Guess I'll stop here and get to bed. I pray you all have a blessed weekend. I love Ya's, Susie

Good morning ladies. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GHFAN!! Hope you had a great vacation and have a great birthday. Ok, I was having withdrawls. I could not get on at all all day yesterday or in the evening and if I don't talk to you girls at least once a day, I am loosing it. Even worse? My cable goes out at 3pm. The whole entire neighborhood goes out, I am calling my neighbors who are freaking out, call Mike's aunt now you know I am desperate because I don't get along with her and she is also without cable. It finally comes on just as Jason/Liz kiss but thank goodness for youtube to go back and watch it. Anyway, a nice long weekend. I bought all the food yesterday and today my friend Sue calls to tell me her daughter has a rash and she has to call the doctor to make sure she is ok to come. Michael had a rash a few weeks ago and I am wondering if it's the same one so now I have all this food and not sure if she is coming? Wish you girls lived nearby, I have filet mignon and sausage and peppers. NYDRAMA, I remember when my neighbors use to make the tomoto sauce and sausage, I miss those days. Wish we lived closer, would love to taste the good stuff again. I make mine, don't like jar ones but the old fashioned way is the best. Hey girls! I just wanted to thank you all for your prayers and thoughts for me and my family.

My brother passed away this morning at 8am. He went peacefully and we were all there with him. I think your prayers helped him go on his way to a better place and to be with my brother. Dave had multiple organ system failures and his body basically shut down. He incurred damage to his brain due to an extremely low blood pressure and high heart rate. He was on life support and when we turned the machine off, he took about 5 breaths and that was it.

I know he is in a better place and is no longer suffering. I also believe my oldest brother was there to take him thru the gates.

I am doing well and being the strong point in my family. We have visitors who have brought food and we are here for each other.

Thanks again - I do love and appreciate all of you.

PS: He died in August of 2008 at 8am. Before he died, I told him to watch out and be my wing man as I'm driving the track in my #88 race car. I guess all the 8's in the equasion show that he heard me and will be there. Kind of odd how things happen, huh?

I thought it was just my PC problems, or our Cable IPS. Guess not! hehehe I wish I was close enough to help you eat your sauce! It sounds delicious! My mouth is watering just thinking about it! hehehe I'm headed out to the dreaded grocery store! We're going to a 'Family Cookout' at Wayne's sister's house tomorrow.
