Good morning, all! It's overcast and threatening some rain here this morning. Can't complain, though. We've had several days in a row of just incredible weather. It was probably the best week of the whole summer, so far.

Well, I watched the closing ceremonies of the Olympics last night. Another spectacular presentation. I loved it all but will be happy to get my sleep pattern back on track. hee hee

Hope all of you have a great week. We really need to get reunited here. Our little garden has been going to seed, lately. Too many MIAs!
Our friendships are living, breathing things that must be nurtured so that they stay healthy and strong. Let's all come back to the fold and regroup!

I'm back. Just got an email from Raggs. She'd hoped to post this morning but said the time was getting away from her. She asked me to tell you all that the storm has moved on and they are ok but have a LOT of clean-up to do. She said her parents are getting the storm in Pensacola today. It's been a rough few days and they're all tired. Gary gave Chad and Danny (their farm hands) the day off. Raggs is there by herself today. She said she has some chores to do in the barn. I told her to be careful and keep her cellphone with her. We don't want to see anything else happen to her.

That's her main message to you. I'll let her elaborate when she posts again.

Good morning ladies, Maryann thanks for your email and info on raggies, she emailed me too. Hope everyone had a great weekend. Weather is so nice here. Last week for the kids and myself of freedom. I have to have the kids start going to bed before 11pm which is going to be tough again. NYDRAMA hope you had fun with your balloon ride. GHFAN is away on vacation this week, not sure where she went, she told me but I forgot, bad memory sometimes. Anyone heard from the Rock she has really been MIA. Well, they cancelled the balloon ride after we waited about 1/2 an hour, due to weather conditions. It was barely windy, but I guess they know better than us, so I'm glad they play it safe! Anyway, I wasn't as disappointed since I was the scaredy cat and my girlfriend came prepared w/champagne and glasses while we waited!! We had the greatest time, full of surprises and adventure, like we were in a movie! I haven't had this much fun in a while. So, we got home almost 5 in the morning and you could imagine what the hubby thought..... Oh well, here I am back to reality.

Raggs-glad Fay has passed and hope the clean up doesn't wear you guys down. I'm guessing you are not pushing yourself.... Hoping for sunnier days for you!

Roe-I have never heard of this Duck bus that goes in the river. It sounds crazy and amazing! Hope Mike is doing better, and that this doctor can help him. My kids start school Sept 3. Freedoom!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hugs to all, gotta go tame the critters- hubby's working late today in NYC so I'm on the night shift solo. Hope to catch you all later. Oh, wasn't GH incredible today? I almost fell off my chair!! So exciting!!!! Don't want to spoil for anyone who hasn't seen it.

Hey NYDRAMA, got your email, came on the site and missed you. Glad you had fun anyway in the city, you can never be bored there. I have a gymnastics meeting tonight at 7pm so I can't stay online too long. GH was good, maybe now things will pick up(I hope). I really don't want the kids to go back to school but after today, I want to kill them. I even packed their schoolbags and if I could have sent them today, I would have. I can't wait to get my life back again. I gained alot of weight this summer and I need to get it off and get back into my routine plus I need to put my house back to the way I like it so I am now ready for them to leave.

This month has been a month from h[!! The car is still in the shop, I took Sarah to the doctor to be told that they had tried to get a hold of me, the doctor wasn't coming in that day.
My a/c went out, had to buy a knew one, had to go indept again at the furniture store.
I have hyperglycemia, and it is really kicking up today, plus my arethmia is acting up, My right arm is numbish and stiff.

Hi Girls ~~~ Big waves from RAINY GA! hehehe

Just a quick check-in. Sorry I've been MIA this week. We've had lots and lots of RAIN since Sunday. THANK YOU LORD! I got 'roped' into going school clothes shopping w/ Deana and the girls yesterday! YIKES! They've been in school for a week, and she's just now buying school clothes???? Of course, she asked if I could spare some money towards getting them enough clothes to last 'til Winter Break. After I had agreed, she said we could get every thing they needed at the Mall! WOOOOPPPS! NO! My Mall shopping for school clothes ended when Sarah graduated and I finally got my credit cards paid off!! hehehe Deana wasn't very happy when I told her 'IF she expected me to pay for their clothes, we'd be going to Walmart!' We're talking about 8 and 10 year old girls. They don't need designer jeans and tops to go to school! Anyway, that's my gripe for this week! hehehe I need to go finish up Wayne's dinner. Oh where oh where can Cali be?

She must be buried underneath those 87,365 chain emails she gets every day. Either that - or bad luck has fallen upon her since she hits "delete" before reading them and sending them on to 87 of her best friends online. You know what they say ... you break the chain, you pay the price.

They also say a huge windfall of money will come in to your life and I haven't seen that happen yet either.

good morning everyone it is another beautful day in ny. auntiep out of all the people i know you need a break and hopefully you get one soon. my prays are withyou stay strong and try to take care of yourself. and all you girls were the weather has gone crazy be careful.
susie you poor thing getting stuck going shopping for school outfits, i go on saturday with my 15 year old and i am not looking forward to it everyone talks about going shopping with girls they should try to take my son shopping by the time i get home i am shot and ready to throw him out the window . but it has to be done and hubby wont do it.

I'm feeling great this morning! My Soc.Sec. check was deposited and my 'lean month' (after the car repairs)
is over. YIPPEE!! I sat here and caught up the bills and added some minutes to my TracFone and I'm grinning like the Cheshire Cat! It's always nice to find the way out of the woods once in a while.

Roe, Cali and I haven't been playing on MySpace. She's been trying to help set me up there because I only have WebTV and my system doesn't let me do everything. She's the 'savvy' one when it comes to all this tech stuff. Remember, she's the one who helped all of us with our avis. She's one smart cookie!

V (peace -N- love) I haven't heard groovy in a long time. It was nice to hear it again. Cool was our word, then with happy days it was nerd, and welcome back Kotter, the guys would try and sometimes succeed -N- pulling some of the sweet hogs stunts.

One that comes to mind is the guys and me and one other girl took data processing, the guys miss read it and thought it said date processing---anyway---One day me and the girl were in the class room both of us reading books, The teacher came in and asked where were the guys? We both looked up and around and noticed they weren't there. We just looked at the teacher and hunched our shoulders. Well he went to the door and opened, all the guys were lined up out there, they all came in doing Barbarino dance and saying --we're bo-jiving--uh-ah--over and over, they got to where they set, none of them set done until all of them were at their seats, then they all set down at once. It was the first time I relized hey these guys do have some brains or they could never have pulled that off-- The teacher was laughing so hard, he said somthing about under his breath but I heard the word Kotter.
