Thanks everyone for your advice. Maryann, I believe in the full moon. It's weird, my period left and then it came back again, I am all messed up. Anyway, Mike and I kissed and made up last nigh. So we went out today, bought the kids their white sneakers they need for gym, school is a pain in the neck. This week he is off, I have to get the kids their school uniform shoes on Monday because I need Mike's help or they will drive me nutso. We are thinking about taking the kids into Manhatten this week, they have a bus tour and then a boat tour to go on so we will probably go one day this week. We were going to have dinner in the city next weekend for our anniversary but they opened a new restaurant out here that I am hearing good things about so I think we will try there.Anyway, these Olympics are driving me nuts, can't stop watching them. I was up until 1am watching the track/field.I also died when I thought Michael Phelps lost last night, oh so close. He goes for #8 tonight and I have to watch it. I even watch the water soccer, basketball, I am addicted. Well have a great day.

I don't remember but he said I said it and he won't forgive me. Oh well, another thing we have to get through. Anyway, hope all my east coast friends are ok, we are having a huge storm brewing, Manhatten is pinch black but the sun was shinning here in Staten Island. It's now starting to rain and it's almost 7pm. Weird weather the same thing we had last night. Anyway, be safe. I won't be on for GNO maybe next Friday. Have a good weekend if I don't speak with all of you.

HI everyone, just wanted to come and say hello. I will try and post this week but if you don't see me, don't worry, Mike is off this week and we want to try and do stuff with the kids. It's suppose to be a nice week so I am looking forward to it. Maryann, watched the Olympics last night. Actually, when Michael and the team were swimming, I had to shut if off, I was so nervous. I know that him swimming by himself he could win but with the team, you never know. So when it was over, Mike yelled from downstairs to me in my bedroom that he had won. Then I watched the replay. I think I cried with him, his mom, and the rest of the US because it was so nice, not because he is an American because here was a 23yr old man who went after his dream and made it come true, great inspiration for all the young people out there in life not just sports. I also watched the track/field for awhile and watched Bolton(Bolt) win and become the fastest man. Him, I didn't care for, just to much of a show off for my taste. I have to keep watching. Well, I am off to Staples to check the prices for school supplies. Have a good day everyone and talk to everyone when I can.

Quote Susie1000: Good morning Dr. M.A ~~~~~ I also came on last night and even wrote this long comment in between sipping on my Cranberry juice and vodka. Obviously.....I sipped more than I typed! ...... cause when it came time to post it just vanished into thin air! SWOSH! hehehe I took that as a sign that what I typed wasn't important enough to post, and went to bed! hehehe I loved your advice to Roe. Alfie gave her some good advice too! hehehe I pray today is a better day for her. You're right about the Full Moon Madness that effects us each month. Gotta' run for now. I hope all have a blessed day. Mine is going to be full of errands and stuff. Typical Saturday! I love Ya's, Susie

Susie, all is well, I think Maryann was right, it was a full moon, hormones going nutso, my period, but all is well back in the home front, we kissed and made up big time.

Good morning! It's a pleasant beginning to the week here in Bristol. The Bluejays and squirrels are out here in my yard, patiently waiting for me to wake up and throw out some peanuts for them. They'll chase each other all over the place, trying to be the first to grab some, while keeping their eyes peeled for the neighborhood cats usually lurking nearby. It can get pretty rowdy if they show up.
Birds screaming, cats meowing, squirrels chattering from a safe distance in a tree. A regular morning symphony right outside my door!

Took a break from the Olympics yesterday and watched Turner Classic Movies channel. They were doing a day of Gene Kelly movies. "Singin' in the Rain", "Les Girls", "Take me out to the Ballgame", "An American in Paris", "On the Town" and, my favorite,
"Summer Stock", with Judy Garland.

Raggs, I was thinking of you when I watched "Summer Stock". It takes place on a farm owned by Judy's character. Her sister arrives home, unexpectedly, with a troop of show people who she has told can use the barn to put on a show. Gene Kelly plays her boyfriend and director of the group.

It's hysterical when Judy tells them they all have to help with the chores on the farm. None of them has a clue and proceed to terrorize the poor animals, knocking down fences, letting them all escape, wrecking Judy's new tractor, falling down and breaking the morning's gathering of eggs, and on and on. All I could see, Raggs, was you out there in the barnyard, trying to straighten them all out. It was so funny!

Last night, I did watch some of the Diving competition but made myself go to bed by midnight. I've got a busy week coming up and need to get some decent rest.

Hope all of you gals had a good weekend. Roe, glad to hear that all is well in loveland again. I knew it would be!

Blessings to all of you for the week ahead.

Love, M.A.

good monday morning to everyone. sorry i haven't been on over the weekend. i thought i would be on alot since gary had to work but....well yall know how it can be sometimes.

meghan has been home since tuesday of last week and i stopped by friday after i went to the grocery store. i got about 10 minutes with her then i had to go cause all my frozen didn't fit into my cooler. they were suppose to call me latter that night about meghan possibly coming over saturday since her mom had to work. well it is monday and i still haven't heard from them. i was mostly depressed yesterday about it all because it was very clear to me that they had used me up again and since meghan started school, in another town today i am sure that they will not be calling and checking in with me because they don't need me anymore. gary warned me that this would happen but i thought maybe this time it would be different. meghan is never allowed to use the phone and if she does it has to be on speaker phone. long long story and i won't bore yall. it does hurt though. i guess i will re-do her bedroom back to a guest room.

i have my doctors appointment tomorrow afternoon. hope to get good news then. the incision has done great, no pain at all, not even any soreness. of course i take a heck of alot of pain meds too. last night when we changed the bandage the skin all around it was a bright yellow, like a bruise sorta. looked weired. stitches looked fine, a little red.

i watched all the weeks episodes of gh yesterday, slow slow slow. i guess laura will be on today. i use to love laura but now she isn't on enough to really invest time into her. the jason/liz distant romance is just too distant, come on writers! when they show them together it is usually filled with i'm sorries. roe, maybe soon! love sam and lucky. tiring of johnnie and luluu already.

maddie and raggs were both sick all day yesterday. i finally figured out what they were sick with. both of them have been eating the grapes that fell off of the vines. they were fermented by the sun. maddie probably started it and then raggs didn't want to be left out. i had to give them gatorade in their bowls later in the day because they had vomitted so much. both of them have been throwing up purple. now they are both on the couch snuggled down in this blanket i made for them out of soft teddy bear material.

roe, ma, we too have been watching the olympics. loved michael ofcourse but had a lot of fun for the womens cross country run or what ever you call it. i remember that gal quitting last time ad i was to proud for her this time. how many victory laps did she do?!?!?! i would have fallen down and dies right there. she just wanted to keep running. go gal go!!!

we are on storm watch. if you look at the tv when it is in the sorta middle of state moving somewhat east it shows that we will be right in its path. we actually are only 20 miles from the gulf at one point. gary said that right in the middl of check in for the students they are also having to clean out all of the drains and such.chad and danny have been told to get the young and old animals into the pens by the new barn. (by the way the buff that was hurt is doing better).sometime tomorrow i will get all the winged ones in their cages and then will bring the cages into the barn. crops are all done so i don't have to worry about that. our nearest neighbor down the road came by yesterday and he and his wife have to drive up to missouri for her dads funeral and they do not expect to be back until the weekend. they have about 30 hogs and a bunch of geese. they also have 18 hunt dogs in pens. gary told them that we would take care of all for them to go ahead. now, what do we do with 30 hogs with a tropical storm/hurricane coming?? usuall you have to worry about flooding because they are so low to the ground. the 30 count did not count the babies, he told gary there was a bunch of them. gary said when he got home chad, danny, and him will go down there to feed all and figure out what can be done if need be. this will be interesting!!

okay, i have made this another long post, sorry, if yall don't want to read it it is ok. i just needed to talk some. i owe alot of people emails with info and stuff. sorry i have been late, i just don't seem to get around to it. i will try again today. love to all, raggs

hi, Im good, they sang lean on me,the book of love, the broken road .sunday in church.it was awsome. my heart just did summer salts. going oh!yea!.the sermon was on not looking back. but moving forward in to better days.and I can sure use getting this one bill, that is on revolving credit.not good I found out last week.and I cant pay on it . because I dont want my sister thinking that she paid what I paid on it. but we owe 4000.00 on it.so Im paying on all my other bills, until she doesnt ,pay on it any more. then I will pay on it.and its killing my stomach. cause I thought some of the stuff was being paid off.it just goes on finance charge, and then on the balance. not on any pectular thing.I PROMISE I WONT MAKE THAT MISTAKE AGAIN>and so GOD is gonna have to fix this

Hi raggies, don't let the situation with Megan get you upset. I think you knew deep down inside that this would happen.Look, when you took care of her last year, it was alot on you, alot of pressure and yes she was company but they took advantage of you. Now, they should just either call and come visit socially and if they don't do not be upset over it either but if they ask you to ever do that again, say NO. You have alot of things going on in your life and you raised your children, you don't need to raise another one, you have enough to raise with your animals.

Wow, where is everyone these days? I hope everyone comes back on once school gets started again. I miss not speaking with everyone. I was out all day today. We got the kids their school shoes and then we bought them sneakers, my kids go through so many pairs of sneakers and Michael is a pain when it comes to sneakers, nothing ever fits him. We ended up going to Payless shoes and there was a pair of sneakers, wide width that fit him and he liked so we bought him 2 pairs to be on the safe side. We bought him Nikes and they only lasted 2 months so they told us to call up Nike and they should make good on it. I also bought all their school supplies as well. Michael bought a North Face backpack, we paid $36 I know it sounds like alot but I am hoping it will last. I always buy the ones at Target and they break and I always have to buy 2 of them so I am hoping that if I spend alittle more, it will last. Joey has one from last year since I bought 2 last year, the other one he can use this year. Now, I am done. Michael needed 12 notebooks, I have no idea why so many, my sister called and told me Shoprite had them for 59 cents so I ran there since Staples wanted them 2 for $1.98 and other places had them for 99 cents, Shoprite was the cheapest if anyone needs them. Well, it's almost 10pm and I didn't see GH today and I want to watch it. Weird but my ear hurts. Are any of you girls talking about me? Have a good one.

Hi everyone. Hope everyone is doing okay. It was a kind of crazy day. A tipical Monday, I guess.

Roe, how are you? I agree it is really quiet here. I know I have been MIA for abit. I try to check in every couple of days. Our kids don't go back to school until the first week of Sept. I can hardly wait. Damien is so bored. I think we packed too much into July and left nothing new for August. Oh well, live and learn. We did finally get to the beach on Sunday. Damien was there when he was about 2, but didn't remember much. I think he had more fun building sand castles and digging holes in the sand and filling them with water than actually swimming. But we had a blast.

Hi MA, hope you are enjoying the olympics. That just isn't my cup of tea or should I say keg of beer.LOL

Good morning! I woke up at 5:30am to a pretty pink sunrise! Haven't checked the weather channel yet. Hope 'Fay' isn't treating all of you Florida folks too badly. They had said 'she' would make landfall during the night.

Raggs, where are you located down there...the West coast or the East coast of FL? I heard them say the storm was supposed to come in near Ft.Myers. That's on the West side. Boy, you have your hands full, when there's a big storm coming! All your critters must be scared to death! Hope you don't get much of it. I know the rain would probably be welcome, but, not the damaging winds.
I've said a prayer for you all down there.

On a lighter note, in response to your post yesterday about having to take care of your neighbor's PIGS, while they're away, I have ONE WORD....LUAU !!

Tell Gary and Chad to get those barbecue pits ready. We're ALL on our way !!
We'll show you what to do with them! YUMMMY! (I'm so bad!)

On that naughty note, I'll slink off and make the coffee, as long as I'm up so early.

Have a great day, gal PALS!
Hope all our MIAs come home soon! We MISS you all!!

Love, M.A.

goodmorning mary ann, you were up early this moening. i have been watching the news on the storm. that is one fickled storm!! yesterday i said we were about 17 miles from the west coast, gary corrected me and said it was more like 47 miles. my goof. you really need to look at a map of the state of florida to see where we really live. when looking at the map find the north central florida part you will see lake city on the right and live oak on the left. we live a little south of each in the middle. it is o'brien, the closest city is branford, which really is a very small town. accordig to news this am the storm is to go north towards jacksonville and then follow the i-10 interstate to pensacola. that would put us close in just about anyway it goes. the feeder bends is what we will experience the most, rain, possible tornado's. of course that storm may go just north only, who knows. we will know more by thursday i think.

crystal just called. she said where the grandcanyon damn broke is the same place her and john will go backpacking when he comes home. i didn't have a good feeling about them going on a 3 day hike anyway. it would not be until april, they have reservations. the park emailed her yesterday and said it would be closed indefinitly.

ma i am having trouble emailing you again. how about sending me an email test and let me check you addy. crystal might not have put it in right when she wiped most all addies out.

ok where is gval? i am so use to her being here in the am and emailing me ofton. i haven't seen her since i have been back. we need to start listing the mias so maybe if they are lurking they will let us know if they are ok. mias don't worry about coming on not being caught up, just let us know that you are ok. i aso am missing cali. i realized i had her wrong email after i tried it several times. gary found right one for me. is she still gone off with kaitlyn?

goodmorning roe. i caught up with you on the shoe buying her on site. my reply to you must have been from yesterday before you got the shoes. i agree with you about the mias. hope once school starts they will be back. use to be no matter what time of day or night, someone would be on.

okay, i might lay down on couach. i am still very sleepy today. no sunshine yet so my eyes tend to close easier. i will hopefully catch all later.

hi to susie, d's mom, cali, gval, lma, ny,rock, mommy, aussie, auntiep (hope sarah is still improving),gh fan, alfie, and everyone that we have been missing. ma and roe yall have a great day. love, raggs
