Yo! I went to upload a new avi and it wouldn't let me cus I am on my mom's archaic computer so you will all have to bear with this surving hottie until I get home.

Took Chanel to the airport tonite and she made it home safe and sound. We bawled our eyes out at the airport. We had a lot of fun as did her and Kaitlyn. I think KK grew up emotionally about 4 years since Chanel has been around. She is 17 and made me feel like 17 again with some of the crazy things we did. We even did a chinese fire drill the other day at the stop sign. My hubby just happened to pull up behind us so we decided to make him laugh. He didn't laugh as hard as we did though.

I think we're going to stay until Monday so I can relax and enjoy my time away from hubby and his darn honey-do lists. I will try and check in but this keyboard is so slow it hurts my wrists to type a lot.

I am supposed to race here next weekend on Saturday. I told hubby we would just stay here and wait for him but he didn't buy in to that one. Too bad.

Gotta go and hit the hay. I slept when we got here this morning from 10am until 4pm so I am once again on a messed up schedule.

Hope everyone is having a great summer! Hard to believe it is already the middle of July.

Howdy, and how are you all doing? I won't say good morning cuz I'm a little late for that. I've been up since 5:30am but somehow didn't get here. I know what it was. I didn't make coffee! My landlord was going on a bike ride to benefit a Downes Syndrome child so he left early. I had coffee left over
yesterday and had put it in fridge so I just nuked that.
Have just been lazy so far. Too hot and humid to go outside. Made a huge pitcher of iced tea with lemon. I'm sitting here looking at my journal that Cali made for me. Awesome, the detail she put into it. And, of course, I'm drooling over my autographed photos of Jeff. OMG, was he HOT! Still is!!

I think I need a hit of that iced tea now. It's getting warm around here!

Cali, glad you're staying in AZ till Monday. You need a nice break. Enjoy yourselves.

JUST KIDDING! Those moments that he's home must be golden to you.

Today would have been my Dad's 96th birthday. I sent an email to my siblings, reminding them. They are all so caught up in their busy daily lives that they sometimes forget special dates like that. I suggested that we all have an ice cream cone to celebrate the day. Dad's all-time favs were either coffee or peanut butter and chocolate ice cream on a plain cone. Sometimes, he'd splurge and have one scoop of each. And, no matter how neat he tried to be, he always dripped some on his shirt. Funny, the little things you remember.

Well, Cali's starting for home today. She's got a busy week ahead of her as she's racing in AZ this weekend. She'll just get home and have to turn around and go back.
Too exhausting for me!

We've got birthdays this week. I have to go back to Cali's email and remind myself who they are.

goodmorning mary ann! i was tickled to see that you are on this morning. you must have slept fairly good. i have to go walk maddie and then i will be back. it takes about 20 minutes. love ya!

well maddie finished ontime with her wlk but then i had two phone calls, as usual. one was gary to tell me he made it to work ok. the other was garys daughter, lisa. i don't get her girls. she says that she has to call me everyday she works because i make her feel good when we start our day together. she reports to work at 7am and i get a phone call each workday at 7:05a,m. she works for the county garbage sub station. she sits in this little airconditioned building and she is there if someone wants to know where to dump something. she is a vet from desert storm and went to school for radiologist tech and passed. she has never worked one day a a tech. she takes this job and gets about 30 hours a week. she doesn't even use their insurance, she just goes to the va. she lives with this guy she met at the dump 7 years ago. the man is a con man type. he goes to the dump and gets stuff to fix and sells it at the flea market. mostly computers and such. he says she has got to keep working there so she can find stuff for her. he NEVER pays taxes, says he doesn't work. all of this is all ok with both of them. he is not meghans father, her father is a child molester and no one can find him right now. lisa is a very bitter, cheap person. her and danny are also very greedy. on her days off i don't hear from here. i just don't get the early phone calls cause she really doesn't have anything to say, i have to carry the conversation. it is like she is on a fishing expedition to get some sort of info from me. she knows i do not agree with her and her boyfriends lifestyle but she has to hear my voice a 7:05am every one of her working days. sorry i just needed to vent for a minute.

ma, i hope you find happiness on today, the birthday of your father. it should be a happy time with fond memories. i always love to talk to older people and if he were still here with us i bet we would get along just fine. keep all the fond memories close to your heart.

Raggs!how are you. try not to let Lisa get to you. Has she always been like that? I am thinking something from being in desert storm has affected her. Just a thought. But so many vets do come back from their duties and suffer from all kinds of mental and physical problems. If you ever need to vent again you know we are all here for you. You have my email addy as well.

MA. Hey girl how is it going with you? Cali is crazy, I would have told hubby to drive out on his own and stay in Zona. She is going to be too tired to race. I got a couple of texts from her last night,I don't know if yahoo was having problems or it was from her phone service,I got the same 2 messages ten times each. I gave up because I didn't know if she was receiving them.

Gval What is the weather like? I think it is going to be hot and humid - again. Did you do anything exciting this weekend?

To everyone have a very good day. I will check in a little later. Damien has a playdate with one of his playmates from preschool. It will be good for both of us to be away from each other for abit. Hey girls ... Happy Monday. I am still in Zona on Monday morning. I have decided to take my sweet old time going home since dear hubby was in bed all day yesterday and still has not called me this morning despite numberous messages and emails. That only goes to show me that he is in bed again. He washed and waxed the coach on Friday and Saturday so I'm sure his arms are soar (waaa). But I am not going to bust my butt driving home in the heat only to have him realize he has fallen behind and then make me help to catch up.

So I have made the decision not to race this coming up weekend in Arizona. It is hot here and I just don't feel like making the drive back here. If we stayed here, and he came over, he'd forget half of my stuff so it's just as well. This will give him more time to work on my car in the A/C garage over the weekend. So nice of me.

Anywho ... went to the pool yesterday and I had to lay there and sit still with NOTHING TO DO. OMG, I thought I was going to die. Always got somethin to do. You all would have been proud of me.

So that is my update (and my ticket to get in to GNO this week). I'll check in later and let you know we made it home.

Hi Girls,
Haven't been on much since I had my 2 boys sick and sucked all the energy out of me! They are doing better now that fever is gone and they are back to their active selves. Seems to have been a bad virus. Anyway, I've been cleaning and spraying Lysol everywhere everyday.
I went to that Sweet 16 party on Friday and WOW! They have truly changed since I had mine! They're like mini weddings in a way. Thankfully I only have 1 daughter and she's 12.

Raggs-I think Lisa recognizes the fact that you are a good listener and advisor, otherwise she wouldn't bother calling. You may be the only "normal" in her life. That being said, don't let her drag you down either! Lately I've been trying to notice to pay attention and not let a convo stay on a negative vibe for too long and I always try to pull it into a positive direction. Everyone needs someone to talk to, but it sounds like you have some reservations about her sincerity. If that's the case, keep positive and try to keep it short. Surround yourself w/happy, beautiful people and things, you need to take care of yourself.

MA-sorry to hear GNO didn't work out so well. I am hoping to be here this Friday. I'm planning to go out for dinner, but probably on Saturday. Isn't this weather awful? I haven't gone out much at all. It's like an oven out there. Hope it cools down a bit.

Cali-sitting by the pool doing nothing? Sounds divine! Wish I was there.... I'm drained after playing Florence Nightingale to 2 sick kids!
