hi gval
When I asked him what do you suspect he says he dosn't know they are still going to run more blood work. I aksed him can you even guess he says he dosn't want to. I am wondering if maybe I should see my GYN doctor. I guess that is better than telling me one thing and then being wrong. So I will have to wait. I am going to look up lymes and then when my doctor calls at least I can ask him. Now when you say "ticks" is that like a flea?

Quote GH FAN 4 LIFE: Good morning ladies,
Raggs I was sent this joke and I thought of you. Enjoy!!

Subject: Federal Government
A Department of Water representative stopped at a farm and talked with an old farmer. He told the farmer, 'I need to inspect your farm for your Water allocation.'

The old farmer said, 'OK , but don't go in that
field over There.

The Water representative said, 'Mister, I have the
authority of the Federal Government with me. See this card? This card
means I am allowed to go WHEREVER I WANT on ANY agricultural land. No questions asked or answered. Have I made myself clear? Do you understand?'

The old farmer nodded politely and went about his farm chores. Later, the old farmer heard loud screams and saw the Water Rep running for the fence. And close behind was the farmer's
huge-horned prize bull. The bull was gaining on the Water Rep. with
every step. The Rep was clearly terrified, so the old farmer immediately threw down his tools, ran to the fence and shouted out......

'Your card! Your card! Show him your card!'

Ok have to go I am at work we have been so busy. My computer is out of order AGAIN so I have to chat with you guys at work on my breaks and lunch, but before I go I have a concern.

I went to the doctor yesterday and they cannot figure out what is going on with me. So I am going to tell you ladies my symptoms and maybe someone out there has gone through what I have been going through. I hope you guys do not mind, but I am really getting discourage by all this:

I have pain all over my body mostly in the morning when I get up. Very sore an ache. My feet are constantly sore. I have gain weight but am not eating anymore than I usually do. I cannot exercise due to the pain. I find it very difficult to concentrate and remember simple task. This is what is really bothering me. My energy level has dropped. Just to do little things like fold clothes has become difficult. I get extremly tired after about 5 minutes of doing anything. The things I enjoy doing I cannot. Gardening and most of all shopping. My husband asked me if I wanted to go to the mall and to pick out something and I just could not get the energy to go.

Ok there you have it. I know we have the internet and can type up symptoms and all KINDS of things can pop up. However I really wantt to see if maybe there is a women out there who may have experinced it or knows someone who has had these syptoms. tHank you for taking the time.

Thanks alfie - I am writing every response I get so when they come back with a "I don't have a clue" response I can ask them to dig further. I know that this stuff is not in my head. I know how I feel and I am pretty in tune with my body. I have always had an exuberant amount of energy and pretty much the only thing that can keep me down is the flu. This dosn't feel like th flu.

mommie, who's your new avi? Can't recognize him with the sunglasses. I'm guessing it's someone from GH.
Have you got any bites from the 'new tooth' yet? It's surprising how strong their little jaws are when they clamp down on your finger.

Well, I think I'm going to sign off early tonight. I have an appt. with my oncologist at St Francis Hosp.tomorrow for my 4-mo. check-up and pap. I'm hoping they say I can switch to every 6 mos. These are part of a 5-yr. follow-up program. I just passed the 2 yr. mark.

I'll stop by in the morning before I go.

Hope you all have a pleasant evening and a restful night.

Hey Mary Ann the avi is Nascar racer Dale Earnhardt Jr. He's my second love hehehe. I rooted for his father since I was 8 years old then he came along and was a fan of both, but since senior passed in 2001 it's hard to watch sometimes.

Hey mommie - GO #88!!!!! Love love love 'lil E.

I'm so glad he copied our race car number! lol

Hi, GHFan. So sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Gval's right. Lyme's Disease has all the symptoms you're describing. Not everyone gets the rash. And, if a tick bit you in an out of vision spot, you might not have noticed if you did have a bite mark or rash. You DO have ticks out there. Ask Cali about it. She just recently pulled one off of somebody. I think it might have been KK but I'm not sure. It might have been her dog, Harley. This is the season for them and you said you do have a dog and cats. Deer are big carriers of them.

I went on-line and found this link to the CDC site. Read ALL of the article. If you read down a few paragraphs, it lists all the symptoms you say you have.

You really need to keep on top of this with your doctor. These are serious symptoms, regardless of what's causing them. Don't be intimidated by thinking the doctor has all the answers. YOU know your body better than anyone. My sister works at North Bay Hospital in Fairfield, CA and she's always saying that, these days, people need to take an active part in their health care. Check things out, ask as many questions of the doctors as you need to.

Don't get rattled or scared but DO stay on top of things.

That's my two cents on the matter.

Here's the link I found:

www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dvbid/lyme/ld_humandisease_symptoms.htm

Love and prayers!
MaryAnn

GHF4L - sorry you are feeling so yucky. My husband felt the same way and repeatidy lost time from work cus he couldn't get out of bed. He was achey, tired, run down and had no energy. I don't think you mentioned that you had a hard time getting out of bed or wanting to sleep all the time, right?

From our experiences, you just need to continuosly push your doctor to keep on testing. Check your thyroid, your adrenal glands, your liver. They can do all this thru bloodwork. Also, are you sleeping good? Do you feel rested when you wake up? Mike has sleep apnea and if he doesn't get good REM sleep, his brain doesn't recharge thus creating all the "yukky" feelings.

The other possibility is depression. You probably don't "feel" depressed but it is more about a chemical imbalance in your system.

The only other advice I have is that I have the name of a clinic in Costa Mesa that specializes in alternative medicine (natural meds vs. pharmaceuticals). A friend of mine goes there and has felt so much better and she said they were extremely persistant and didn't stop until the found the problem. The only thing is - I don't know if it is covered by regular medical insurance (go figure) but she says it is worth the out of pocket cost because the outcome was so much better than any doctor ever came up with. I will find the name and number and email it to you.

Lyme disease is caused by ticks which are those little buggers similar to fleas but bigger. They bury their head in your skin and suck your blood and then redeposit the blood back in to your system thus infecting you. The ticks that carry lyme disease are usually found in the mountains and heavily wooded areas. If you had one, you would have noticed as they don't come off on their own. But it isn't a bad idea to get checked especially if you have been to a wooded area over the last several years.

I don't know if I've helped or created more worry for you. I'm glad you know your body and are listening to it. Something is wrong but whether it is physical or mental .... you need to keep after it. Remember the squeeky wheel gets the oil. Stay on your doctor until you get results or a referral to someone who will get them for you.

Hang in there and call me if you want to talk.

Love, cali

GHF - another thing to remember is that just because your blood results fall "within the range" of a woman your age - it doesn't mean that they are 100% accurate. Doctors can request more detailed blood analyses - they just don't do it without pressure from you because of the insurance headaches (which you know all about).

What about diabetes? Ever been checked? Does your family history have diabetes in it?

PS: MAD - how funny you posted the same time as me and almost the same thing. Great minds think alike. Tell your sister I said hello by the way.

Raggs - I loved your post about the military and their thoughts about the war and wanting to finish the job they were sent to do. That gave me goosebumps thinking about how dedicated and loyal our soldiers are and it gives me great pride and sincere gratitude for all they do for our country.

God Bless each and every one of them, their families and the friends that are so blessed to have them in their lives. AMEN!

Hey, Cali, are we connected or what?? You and I were posting about the same time and gave GHFan a lot of the same advice. Co-ink-ee-dink?
I think NOT.

Of course, 'Mrs. M' might have some insights. But, let's not go there!

Hey gals, just ck'g in to see how everyone's doing.

GHFAN-you got great advice from MA and Cali-couldn't have said it better. I know we have to become our own health advocates, it's the only way these days. Write down all your symptoms as you notice/remember them. And I agree on definitely looking into alternative medicine also. Funny, I was also thinking possibility of depression. My sis had those symptoms and was put on anti-depressants too. Not that everyone symptoms mean the exact diagnosis, but Cali was right about the chemical imbalance as a possibility. No matter what, keep a positive outlook and keep us posted. You are one smart cookie to notice something's not right.

Cali-I had a similar reaction to reading Raggs response about her son fighting this war. I think that is one of the unique things we get here, a broader perspective of so many things. Sometimes, things we may not have even considered. I personally felt our soldiers should be home, safe w/their families, but reading that post, opened my eyes to another side, the soldiers perspective.
Raggs, thank you for that, it was honest and enlightening.
Alfie, thank you for asking such an honest question.

GHF4L I'm very sorry to hear you're not feeling well. It makes me wish I could just hop a plane and come take care of you.

It seems everyone has given you great advice, couldn't have posted it better myself. Please keep me posted on your situation.

Lots of love to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
