Sorry I'm so late this morning. Ooops, it's not morning anymore. I'm so messed up on what day it is!
It seems like Sat., doesn't it? I'll be off a day all weekend...hee hee.

If you've been reading the posts from last night, you'll see that I was pretty much on my own. Roe stopped by to say
she was spending evening with her HUSBAND!! Some nerve!!
Susie SAID she couldn't wait for GNO but NEVER showed up, AGAIN!! Some nerve!!
Rock stopped in for a couple of minutes while she was waiting for Alan to get home.
She left when the timer went off on her meatloaf. Some nerve!!
Dmom popped in and said she was going to read ONE story to lilD and would be back....
DIDN'T HAPPEN!! I can't say
'some nerve' because I think she read herself to sleep, so she's not to blame. hee hee

Anyway, I sipped my drink and drooled over Patrick Dempsey in re-run and ate my snack ALL BY MYSELF IN THE SANDBOX!!

SIGH.....

Roe and Dmom, I see you were the only two around this morning.

It's overcast and showery so far. Too bad for those at the beaches today. Hope they remember that you can still get a heck of a burn when it's cloudy.

I was going to do a whole patriotic theme here today but, since nobody's around, I'll just leave you with this well-loved song that says it all.

~~ NEWS FLASH ~~

My brother just called me from Hartford Hospital to say that my nephew's wife had just given birth to their baby girl, SarahJean Rose.
Imagine that! Born on July 4th! And, guess what she weighed? 7 lbs. 4 oz.
She's 20 inches long and has a peach fuzz of hair and big blue eyes. There was a small complication and they had to take her by C'section at the last minute but mommie and baby are doing fine. My bro said she's beautiful and has a good set of lungs on her.

I'm so excited! He said the window in Robin's room looks right out where the big fireworks display will take place, so she'll be able to watch them from her bed. Talk about coming into the world with a BANG!!

Well, that's one down. Now, my friend just has to have hers. She's due any day now.
Hers will be a girl, too.

Hi, GHFan. Good to hear from you. Did you have a nice holiday? Got anything planned for the rest of the weekend?
It's midnight here on the E.Coast. Guess I'll turn in soon. It's been deserted here in the sandbox today. Roe and Dmom were here this morning and that's been it until you arrived. So nice to connect with you tonight. Sorry you had to work today. That must have been hard, knowing most were off work, celebrating in some way.

Did you read my news that my nephew and wife had their first baby, a little girl, today? Born on July 4th and weighing 7 lbs. 4 oz. How cool is that? Her birthday will always be an even bigger event now. We haven't had a new baby in the family for quite a while. Everyone is all excited. I can't wait to hold her. Her 'dad' has been taking pics all day and said he'll email some as soon as he comes back to earth! haha

Well, looks like I'm STILL alone in the sandbox this morning. Gee, guess I'm the only one home this weekend.

It's so overcast that it seems much earlier than 7AM.
It looks like it will be a repeat of yesterday's weather.

I was thinking of Susie yesterday. She was having 12 people for a cookout. Hope she got to have it outside. That's a lot of folks to have indoors, especially trying to keep kids entertained who'd rather be playing outside.
Susie, did you survive it?

are you up yet? If not, I'm sure your youngsters will change that shortly...little angels that they are...hee hee

I've got to send some flowers and a pink balloon off to 'mommie Robin' and little SarahJean this morning. I wonder if they'll keep her an extra day because of the C'section? They usually send them home so quickly these days. Too quickly, if you ask me. New mommies deserve some rest before starting their new routines. Let's hear a cheer for new mommies everywhere! "Hurrah, Hurrah!"
OK, now let's hear a cheer for ALL mommies everywhere!

(Oh, I guess we'd better include the daddies in this or we'll hear about it. )

I think I opened a can of worms this morning. I can just hear all the grandmas and grandpas and aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews and cousins and siblings yelling, "Hey, how about us? What are we, chopped liver??"
So, a BIG YAHOO to all of them!! We LOVE y'all!

Have a 'sparkling' day, everyone! I'm sure there must be some fireworks left over. My neighbors couldn't have bought them all, even though it seemed like it last night. hahaha They were pretty!

good morning to everyone.
Hi MA congrats about the new addition to your family. You said she had a c-sect? She could be in one extra day. I had Damien on a Saturday and went home on the Tuesday(I wanted to go go home on the Monday). It will also depend on the baby, didn't you say their was complications with her? If so, mommy and baby might have to stay a little longer. But tell Robin not to do too much when she does get home, I did and ended up getting an infection. I think that was worse than the labor itself,because I was sore all over again.

Okay all you wonderful ladies, I need my coffee and I am sure Damien will be awake soon. It's not very often that I am awake before him. Hope everyone has a wonderful day and I will check in once the caffine starts to kick in, unless I get dragged outside the minute my darling wakes up. Not. LOL. Hugs to all

Hi, Dmom! Thanks for your congrats and good advice. I'll pass it on to Robin. I talked to her this morning. They're keeping her in hospital until Tues.morning.
She said she and baby are doing fine. She just HURTS!!

Instead of the usual flowers, I sent her a baby girl cookie bouquet. She's nursing and I thought it might perk her up to have something for those long hours of laying there after all the visitors leave and the night drags on and on.
On the card, I wrote, "Treats to nibble on while you're being nibbled on." hee hee
I'm so bad!

Let me get some lunch. All this talk about cookies has made me hungry. Be back later.

Hey Girls ~~~~ I don't know if this will post but I wanted to let ya's know my computer crashed on me Thursday and I'm not sure this will even go through. It's going to be Monday b4 Sarah and friends will be back to work on it. So, I love Ya's, and will be back as soon as possible. Susie

Hi everyone, hope you all had a nice 4th of July. Had alot of fun at my friends Sue's house, we always do. It was her 10th anniversary, can't beleive she really got married on the 4th of July. We had rain about 9pm but that was ok since most of the day was fairly nice. For those of you who don't know in NY it's illegal to shoot fireworks but they had a few until the cops came and took them but noone got arrested which was good. They even took some of the sparklers which annoyed me since the kids could have done them in the backyard without anyone knowing about them and they are not noisy. Today, was a busy day, we took the kids out to buy more sneakers and had a nice lunch and now I am just relaxing here on the computer. Susie, hope your computer is fixed by Monday, I know the feeling of being without one. Raggies, hope you had a great time away. Cali, hope your race went well. Anyone know where Aussigal is? NYDRAMA, how far are you from Lake George? We just booked it August 17(Sunday) until that Friday just to get away and relax at the Quality Inn, they know us up there so they treat us very nice.Crystal, hope Wildwood was nice and you had a great time. Maryann, did you have a nice 4th? Anyone else I missed, hope you all had a good weekend.

Hello all I just got home a couple of hours ago. Wow what a nice peaceful time we had. Thank goodness the suite we rented wasn't party central around us.

Erin slept very good like she was home.

Erin's first experience with fireworks hahahaha, let's just say she slept through the whole entire 90 minute exstavaganza.

Will post later about the rest of our trip, kinda tired and have to work tomorrow.
