Oh, so we ARE having GNO?? I thought I read that we're putting it off till next Fri. because so many of you were going away. OK, I'll be here so I guess I'd better make up a batch of 'joy juice'....
Hhmmm, let's see...what do I want for a snack? Oooo, I've got some fruit salad in fridge. Raspberries, blueberries, strawberries and blackberries. I'll add some sliced banana and drizzle a few spoonfuls of my V8 Fusion Blue/Pom juice over it. Sounds good to me! Healthy, too. Although, it would really be good over some ice cream or a slice of pound cake but I don't have either one of those. Oh, hold the phone, I found a 'tiny' bit of Haagen Dazs that David left. I think he ate at least 5 pints of it while he was here. I hate him !! He has a big appetite and still stays slender. Boo, hiss! Not fair!!

Well, it's almost 7pm here so I'm going to get things set and I'll be back around 8pm and see if anybody's in the sandbox. Roe, I believe you said you'd be around and Susie said she'll be here.
Maybe some of the others will drop in.

Only got a minute, Alan should be home any time now. Meatloaf is in the oven, and I am going to slice up some watermelon, and do either potatoes, or a pasta......
I got a killer new recipe for a pudding cake, w/ Koolwhip topping.....I will try & send ya'll an e mail for it......it is yummy!!!!
Hope everybody has a great 4th......be safe......if you do fireworks, be careful.......we go to Alabama & get them......we have a spot where the neighbors gather, and we all set off together......hoses by side, ground pre wet!! It is always a good time......just country folk............
Dear Miss Susie.....bless your pea picking heart You should get to be nana now......all 5 at once is ALOT.....have you thought about setting some guidelines and/or rules I know it is hard, and I am not a grandmother yet, but I have a really good friend in a similar situation, and hard as it was, for everybody, once the new "rules" were put in place, everybody is so much happier, less stressed......she has fun with the kids on a more intimate level.......My friend that lives up your way, turns the tables.....she calls when she has a free weekend.......but on the other hand, Robbie has a friend, whose g-mother's house is the place to be....she has 6 g-kids, from 5-17, and her house is always full.....she has the pool, the trampoline, the game room for the kids.....but also, she is young....(married at 16, 35 years married, 3 children), she is 52.....that is only 4 years older than me, and she has grown g-kids!!!.....says they keep her young most days. ....but, she sure is glad when they go home!!! She just hosted (one of many) her g-sons b/d party. He & Rob have been friends since Pre-K!! It was a Hawaiian Leau (sp?).....the kids had a blast. Now I am being hit up for a "grown" party this year.....what stinks is his b/d is 2 weeks before Christmas ......but, I guess we all now realize how fast the years go, & the babies grow... ..enjoy while you can.....
There goes the timer.....gotta run......

Hello everyone. MA, I could have sworn we were cancelling tonight. I just got in from the neighbors. The boys were actually being good so they got to stay out and play a little later tonight. I am just drinking plain iced tea right now and thinking seriously of cutting up some veggies and cheese for a snack after I get Damien bathed and in bed. It has been a very long day, we went out shortly after noon and came in long enough for supper then right back outside, so Damien should fall asleep really fast tonight. Maybe only one story for a change. LOL. I will check back in a little bit. Hugs

Rock stopped by for a couple of minutes, while she was waiting for Alan to get home, but I just missed her. We HAD cancelled GNO, but then Roe said she'd be around and Susie said she was coming, so I got all ready and showed up at 8:10pm and Roe had left another note, saying that her Mike wanted her to spend the evening with him. Whew! That was a long sentence! ANYWAY,
I said I'd hang out and wait for Susie, but she never showed, AGAIN, so I watched Grey's Anatomy re-run and have been checking in, every other commercial. Nobody had showed until you, at 10pm, so I've been watching for you to come back. But, no Dmom. So, I'm going to bed.

Sleep well, mon amie, and have a nice day tomorrow, if I don't catch up with you.

Sorry I'm so late this morning. Ooops, it's not morning anymore. I'm so messed up on what day it is!
It seems like Sat., doesn't it? I'll be off a day all weekend...hee hee.

If you've been reading the posts from last night, you'll see that I was pretty much on my own. Roe stopped by to say
she was spending evening with her HUSBAND!! Some nerve!!
Susie SAID she couldn't wait for GNO but NEVER showed up, AGAIN!! Some nerve!!
Rock stopped in for a couple of minutes while she was waiting for Alan to get home.
She left when the timer went off on her meatloaf. Some nerve!!
Dmom popped in and said she was going to read ONE story to lilD and would be back....

'some nerve' because I think she read herself to sleep, so she's not to blame. hee hee

Anyway, I sipped my drink and drooled over Patrick Dempsey in re-run and ate my snack ALL BY MYSELF IN THE SANDBOX!!

Roe and Dmom, I see you were the only two around this morning.

It's overcast and showery so far. Too bad for those at the beaches today. Hope they remember that you can still get a heck of a burn when it's cloudy.

I was going to do a whole patriotic theme here today but, since nobody's around, I'll just leave you with this well-loved song that says it all.
