TOP OF THE MORNING TO ALL!!!!

So glad that ESPNCL shows the game of the week for NCAA bball. UNC vs. MD. Why did Hansbrough take that shot, where was Ellington? Any way, I was so bummed out about UNC losing. I kinda knew it, because it was halftime and me not liking surprises, went to the internet to see who won. Kinda like looking at spoilers for soaps. Don't know about anyone else, but I talk to my screen alot during sports, like ... take it, shoot, no don't shoot you dummy, awesome, smart, ok back it out, set up, drive dummy drive.... crazy I know. Anyway, still watched it and yelled ... and called people stupid ... and all the while hoping the internet was wrong... it wasn't, lost by 2 ..

Still doing laundry. For three people, we sure have loads of laundry to do. Thank goodness our dogs don't wear clothes cause I'd have more to do. Trying to teach my daughter to do her own. I keep telling her she needs to learn sometime.

First of all Mommyof1 my prayers are with you. I know what it is like to suffer personal lost. I hope that you will chat with all of us if this makes you feel better. Do not want obe pushy. Just wrap your arms aroungd yourself and your baby and know we are all "hgging" you as well.
I was catching up on the post/lounge. Wow and OMG.
My youngest son had a basketball game last night, and he did not get to start. He is a freshman in college abd after 21 games he has dropped to the 4th spot in a point guard position. He hardly gets any minutes on the floor. I was very emotional last night could not sleep and all I could think abbout was wanting to get back to here and talk to someone. Then I read some of the chats and found out that some of you have ballplayers - Kikia and GHROCKS23 your kids playing BB? I know my son is only a freshman and has to wait his turn, but I tell you there is a lot of politics going on even college sports. I do not want him to get discourage. I wish I had time to share with you all what my boys has been through for both of these past several years. My main goal is both of them to get a scholership and finish up in college with his degree. That is first. However we as mothers cannot make up thier minds for them it is hard. Anyone out there feeling my pain?

Thanks kiakia and efizzle. There are times when I think we are too strict and then when I find out about other girls and what they are doing, I find myself wondering if I'm not strict enough. I'm shocked by the parents who aren't at all.

There is a 16 yr old at the high school here who is pregnant. Friends rally around her like she's an idol. I sick back with a sigh of disgust that friends think it's great. One of my daughter's closet friend talks to her about how she is so happy for this 16 yr old and how wonderful it would be to be a mom. AT 16???!!!???

We talk about college, a career, what happens after high school, about basketball camps and all some of her friends talk about is ... boyfriends, getting married, babies. I guess I didn't grow up that way and that's why I don't get it.
