hello friends, it is starting out to be a beautiful day but more rain is coming. thats ok. hope all of you slept good last night. i was up for a couple of hours but i did alot of reading off the internet. i also caught up on gh via the internet. man, i checked the other site and on the day of the memorial there was alot of upset people. i guess because they didn't like the fact that it prempted ghh. okay, i said my piece about it all but i would never show disrespect like they did. there is alot of new people over there. aussie is still there.

ny weclome back i am happy to hear you had a great vacation you really needed it. and i know what you mean i cried when i moved my oldest son into his dorm and he was only in hartford ct an hour and 15 min from the house but it could of been a cross the country as far as i was concern.
but just think of the wonderful time she is going to have and all the stories she come home with.
mommy very happy to hear jeff is doing better tell him to enjoy his time off and rest up. we will be thinking and praying for him when he gets deploy.

Raggs-I am so sorry that you were experiencing such feelings regarding your dad. I know it can't be easy. I too was surprised to learn he was doing the chemo. I can only imagine the thoughts going thru your head. I hear ya. Just keep coming here and sharing your feelings. ANd to top things off, you got kidney stones! Geesh! I hope you are feeling better now that you've passed the last one. Please take care of yourself, as much as there is so much going on around you w/your dads illness, remember that you cannot afford to get sick yourself. Take some moments for yourself and do something that makes you smile, EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!!! ok? In the meantime, savor every moment you have w/him, trust me, it's what you will have forever. Live w/no regrets. I know you are doing that. Live, laugh and love. By the way, our vacation was on the New Jersey shore on a popular beach town called Long Beach Island. I need to catch up on the other site too. Missed so many eppys! I think it's disrespectful for those who feel compelled to talk badly of those who have just passed. I will definitely go over there real soon! hugs!!!

Gval-what the mop? Honey, I agree w/Raggs, he's second guessing his decision and now back-pedalling. Ya know why? Cuz he knows you are too nice to kick him out. See, what he did was wrong- he was the one who started this mess that caused a major mental breakdown for all of you. This includes you and the boys. He obviously spoke to soon w/his "it's over" decision and now reality has kicked in and it seems more convenient, comfortable and simpler to stay w/his loving, decent, generous family. The real world of freedom aint looking to pretty for him, right? So, in the meantime, take care of yourself and the boys and take Auntiep's advice, give him the 411 on YOUR rules that have to take place since he's decided to create this mess himself. And what can I say, Auntiep has a fabulous idea to get your mom to move in!!!! Too funny!!! Take care and keep us updated. You are going to be just fine.

Auntiep-loved your comment to Gval!!!! You are one funny lady! Thank you for sharing your MJ memories w/us too. What's really sad is that the media forced us to be bombarded by his bad publicity only and many people forgot what a kind, gentle, humanitarian he truly was. Besides the amazing talent that we grew up with. That memorial was beautiful and necessary to remind everyone what his legacy should be and that he has a loving family that adored him. He may have not been "normal", but then, what is? I am slowly going back to going about my daily stuff, just now. I am needing to hear his music since my collection was in record form and I never replaced them w/cd's and I don't have a turntable. My sister has everything now and cd's too so I asked her to bring them over on Saturday when we celebrate my sons b'day. Can't wait! Glad that Sarah is doing better.

Mommie-happy to hear Jeff is doing better and you are able to enjoy some time together on some outings. That's good news!

Well, the weather's been crazy now that I'm back! Tuesday was insane in some parts, especially by my sister, they had such a bad storm they thought it was a tornado, tree's down everywhere and mud slides (never, ever before!) and major hail storm that they had to bring the snow plows back out in JULY!!!!! Go figure!

My daughter is not a happy camper. She's homesick and misses us, her stomach is bothering her and she's not quite adjusted. Well, I told her it's all normal, give it some time but don't waste a perfectly beautiful trip worrying nnd missing us. I'm missing her too. CAn you blame me, I'm left w/these 2 crazy boys!!!!! HELP!!!

Hi, gals. Sorry I haven't been on the last two days. I've come down with something. Started with a scratchy throat the night before last and I got right after it with Zicam. It didn't work this time. Yesterday I was all stuffy and coughing and today I'm aching and all of the above and have a slight temp of 99.1F. My head feels like "it's been kept in a sealed mayonaise jar on Funk and Waganall's porch". Remember when Ed McMahon and Johnnie Carson used to tell that joke about where the answers to The Great Carnac's questions were kept? I don't know what made me think of that....

I need to lay down for a while.

hi ny glad to have you back. since saturday i told him twice to get out. i told him to go live the life he wanted. but i cant belive he put a hold on moving out. i dont talk to him when he tries to talk to me i give him one word answers. he put everything in motion now he has to live with it. maybe he realize is when he moves out he wont have enough money in his budget to go out dating and he is not going to do that living in my house.

maryanne feel better it seems so many people are getting so kind of flu, so get plenty of rest

Hey all had to take Sarah to ER this mornig. Had to get a hold of my sister-n-law to take us cause my neice is still sick. She is okay now, but the mucus was so thick she stopped breathing on me cause her airwave was blocked with the thick stuff. She had a seizure when he were about five minutes from the hospital. It only lasted about a minute and a half. The doctor told me I did right when I leaned her over and let the stuff run out of her mouth. He told me he wasn't going to give her anything cause it would cause the mucus to get thicker and harder to get out. (That's what he said). He said the seizure her neuoilgist upped her meds and it will take awhile to take hold and he also said as all the other dr. said that with lennox gastaut syndrome is hard to control.
She has a dr appointment tomorrow. I'll tell you how it goes. Take care all God bless Love auntiep/

hello and goodmorning everyone. nice to see more chatting on the line. ny we really missed you and we are glad you are back. thank you for your kind words. i have been trying very much to handle everything as calmly as i can. there is so much going on in regards to my mom and dad. i will be leaving next saturday (not tomorrow) to go back up there for a while. probably will be gone a long time, and there is no computer but i will be calling in. everytime i go he is thinner and thinner. my dad is 6 ft 4 inches but his weight is very low now. when i hug him it feels like all bones. my sister said the same thing. god bless him. I HATE CANCER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT SEEMS LIKE HE ROBS YOU OF EVERYTHING, YOUR DECENCY, YOUR PRIDE IN YOUR SELF, YOU APPEARANCE, YOUR MENTAL STABILITY. it is just a horrible thing to watch. the chemo is not much better. if you catch everything in time you have time to let the chemo work. when you are down to the wire and in the final stages it only brings death sooner i think. i still can't undersstand how daddy came down with stage 4 cancer that quick. he has blood work every 3 months and some kind of mri because of all his anuryesems (sp?). he has also had numerous chest xrays. and now we still don;t know where it originated at. stage 4 means that it has left the intial spot and moved on to the blood stream and entered the nodules and other organs. but they don't know where it started from. they talk about a spot on his lung but it showed to not be cancer. i am sorry, i am rambling alot of negative stuff. guess it is really on my mind because yesterday he had his second chemo. he just says that even though it is probably too late he still wants to fight the "bug" and not let it win. i don't think he has excepted death deep down inside.

roe has been very much overwhelmed but hopefully she will have time to post today. it is a shock coming back from vacation and knowing you have alot to do around your own home, but she is also still dealing with her mother in laws home. i am trying to encourage her to get some help with it. i hope she finds someone. she needs the help.

ma, glad to see your post but i thought you might be better since you took the meds. okay, you are no running a slight fever. i think you should call the doctor. just be on the safe side. respiratory infections can come on real fast. if you have anything in your throat you know how it likes to drain into your chest. chads flu type symptoms lasted 7 days but he is better now. he hurt all over but kept working. he doesn't handle fevers well, if he gets one he usually gets a high one. i don't know how he worked all the way through it.

gavl, we haven't got our satellite back yet. there is no cable out here. the company says it will be shortly but it has alrready been a month. no one has been able to get it out here. we had another big rain storm yesterday. it rained for 2 hours straight real real hard. i think we go like 8 inches. then it semi rained the rest of the day. our driveways were flooded in and the entrances to the barns and such. the pastures look like mudholes. our new drain field fema put in, well it is floating out in the back yard! what a stinky mess. gary will have to get a backhoe in here and do it himself. i called crystal at my aunts in jacksonville last night and told them not to come out today. they are coming to spend several days with me. it might be a few days before i can accomidate guest. living far out has it advantages but when there is bad weather it is a mess. i hope the bulldozers come today while it is not raining and open up some of the roads. they are all limerock roads.
has ex looked for a roommate? that will probably be the only way to go. tell him to look in the newspaper. i sure hopes he gets out before winter. yall will be miserable then if you are couped up in the same house. keep on keeping on gal!!

aunti...wow i feel bad for sarah. and you too. muscus is one hard thing to get rid of. can she take some of the over the counter brands to help her with it? i am sure you know, but beat on her back about 15 minutes several times a day. kinda like on each seperate rib cage in the back. gary does that to me when my asthma kicks in. keep your head up, you are so strong and you are dealing with alot but don't think you are all alone. we are all your houseguest!!!

oh me, i need to get moving. i slept all night last night so i feel really refreshed today. first time i slept all night in a while. hope all of you have a wonderful day.

maryanne how are you feeling today? so what is everyone's plans for the weekend? mine i will be home its not going to be to bad this weekend because butthead has to work saturday and then on sunday he has to go to company picnic and thank god i dont have to go this year. the people he works with and mostly the women are not that friendly and they think they are better then other people but if you saw them they dont have much to be stuck up about. where i work all the girls are friendly and talkive. well let me go i will check back later

Hey guys, I am so tired my head is drooping. The doctor didn't even listen to Sarah's chest. He just went by the ER prognosis. He told me to get her mucineX. He said the antbiotic she is taking should help with it. She's been on it for ten days tonight is the last dose. It has not helped. My brother said if this don't help I need to change clinic's. I may need to do that my old doctor left this one last month and this one doesn't seem to know what he is doing. He had to go and look up if mucinex would effect her seizure meds..
He also apparently didn't look at the chart and know all Sarah's meds needs to be crushed. The mucinex saids not to do any of that. My brother said to get her tussin DM, but I don't know when I will get back to town. Mom and dad are coming back tomorrow. I'll have to send by my sister to get it. The trouble with cough syrup is Sarah gets where she doesn't want to eat. Which she is already not doing but it gets way worse. Any sugestions????

Good morning, gals. Nice morning here. Sunny and cool. So good to be rid of the rain for a while. I'm feeling better, not so achey but still coughing and blowing my nose a lot and not much energy. No fever anymore. Nothing that rest and fluids won't cure.

Auntip, sorry Sarah is having such a time. Do you have a vaporizor in her room? I remember when I was little my grandma used to put wintergreen balm in a pitcher with a narrow neck and pour boiling water over it. Then she'd wrap a towel around the outside of the opening and have me put my face into the towel and breathe the steam. It always opened me up and loosened the mucous. It's an old remedy but it worked and didn't cost much. I don't know if you can still find wintergreen balm anymore but menthol crystals might work as well.

Gval, loved the suggestion that you teach your birds to 'dive bomb' your 'boarder'. I can just picture it!

Raggs, glad to hear that you finally slept through a night.
Maybe you can go outside and enjoy your surroundings today.
(That is, if the 'scent' in the air has died down.) Reminds me of our Sunday rides when I was growing up. Whenever we'd pass by a farm that was 'fragrant', my grandpa would breathe deeply and say, "Ahhh, sweet essence of pineapple!" We kids would laugh and laugh and hold our noses. Miss those old days.

Still no word on Susie? I think I'll write her a note and put 'Attention: Janice' on the envelope. That's her sister and, in case Susie is too ill to open it, if Janice sees her name on it, maybe she'll open it and respond. This really isn't like Susie not to let us know how she is.
I'm going to do that right now.

Good grief, Gertie! Nobody has been here since I posted yesterday?? Guess you all ARE off having a good weekend. Hope so, anyway. I'm still working on this darned old cold/flu/whatever. Sleeping a lot. Guess that's good.

Yesterday, I mailed off a short letter to Susie at her sister's in TN. On the bottom of the envelope, I wrote:
Attention: Janice (sister)

I'm hoping that if Susie isn't able to open it herself, that her sister will when she sees her name on it. I told Susie that all of you had been asking about her and that Raggs has been trying to call her but nobody answers her phone. I asked that she just let us know how she's doing and to please have Janice call Raggs, Roe or me, if Susie can't do it herself. I gave her my toll-free # and my email addy, so we'll see what comes of it. I told Susie that we're all praying for her, as always.

good grief mary ann, i can't believe no one posted after you and me too! you know yesterday crystal was working on our computer, so called cleaning it up, and she could never get this site to come on. i am not sure if it was her or not. this morning it took 3 try's for me but i think it was because i was trying to find the spot again because i didn't know what crystal had done with it. IF THAT MAKES ANY SENCE!! (sp?) i have never figured out how to spell this word the right way since my stroke!) well anyway, i am glad to be here. i have to go and walk maddie, before it starts raining again, so i will be back in about 20 minutes.
