What the mop!! It's cold and dreary AGAIN this morning! The weatherman just said our area is due for heavy thunderstorms, possible HAIL, and the temp won't get higher than 68 degrees. It's usually in the 80s by now. Crazy!

Had a quiet, relaxing day yesterday. My mentee, Stephanie, called to invite me to her graduation party next Sunday. I hope the weather is decent that day. Can't believe she's 18 and finishing high school. Seems like only yesterday I became her mentor when she was in 7th grade. Her mom said she'll come and pick me up if I don't have my car back by then. They don't live too far from me but it's too far to walk there.

Hope all of you had a nice weekend. You must have been busy 'cuz only Roe and Auntiep posted yesterday.

Auntiep, did you see my post where I asked if you'd checked your phone to see if the ringer had accidentally gotten turned off? Or, your volume may need to be turned up. If you're able to call out, you should be able to get calls, too. I'll bet that's the problem.

GOOD MORNING LADIES. i hope everyone had a good weekend. i worked on saturday. was lazy on sunday. i have to get in a routine for the house work so the house will stay clean. my older son pc is not working so he took mine to use.
cali i hope you feel better soon and speed racer take it easy while your racing so you wont do anymore damage to your neck. so you landed on your side with the race car, you are a brave lady i would of got out of the car and never race again. how is your mother doing in rehab?
ny your daugther sounds very talented how was her dance recital? i cant belive you still had your flute and now your daugther is playing it.
auntiep it sounds like your house is comming along. are your parents living back at home with you?
i am doing ok hubby doesnt know what he wants to do. the other night he asked me to give him six months if he moves out and i told him no. then last nigth he asked me if he moves out can we go out once in a while together and i said no. i told him once he moves out that is that. he has to make a decision soon because four lives are in limbo. when he moves out i am going to take his keys to the house, he doesnt know that yet. but everything with me is ok

roe it sounds as you had a good weekend . well i cant belive we are at the end of the school year. today is my son's last full day of classes and then he has three regents this week and then he is done for the summer. the poor kid has been going for extra help after school almost every day for his regents. i am proud of him because he doesnt have to be pushed he does it on his own.

hi alfie, no iam not doing anything for him, he is on his own. right now i am working 11 to 12 hours a day and working saturdays. i come home eat dinner clean up the kitchen take care of the animals then i sit for a couple of hours go to bed and start all over the next day. i am trying to get into a routine so my house wont suffer. i am waiting for him to move out and i start from the basement up. did everyone see nj, one town got 7 inches of ice. they were shoveling in thier shorts. yesterday when it was time to leave work the wind kicked up it rained and hale i was walking to the car i was so wet.

Good morning, gals. OMG, Gval, 7 inches of ICE in N.J.!! No, I didn't hear that. I wonder if mommieof1's town got it? They live in Browns Mills. Boy, those would be great pics to keep in the family album. Shoveling ice in shorts!

It sounds to me like you're being TOO nice to HIM. Seems like he knows you'll give him leeway to take his time, so he's not rushing to move out. I think we need Auntiep to make those voodoo dolls. A few pins in the right places might give him some motivation to get going.

Well, speaking of getting going, I'd better get dressed. I called my garage yesterday and was told they'd found the problem with my car and it might be ready some time today.
It was some kind of sensor. They had to get the part from the Volvo Dealer. I hope it's not too expensive. I already told them that I'm too old to promise them my first-born!
They know I'm on a fixed income so I hope they're not too hard on me. I can't wait to get it back. I've been stuck home for 3 weeks now without it.

8) Hi girls!
It's chilly and cloudy out! Not very spring-like at all. I would love to see the sun again! I've been exhausted from the busy weekend we had and just getting re-energized, slowly! The wedding was great, the walk-a-thon on Sunday was ok, little sad and the dance recital was amazing! I'm very proud of my daughter, but can't believe how fast the years are flying by.

Gval-I saw that news about the ice in NJ this morining on t.v., it was crazy! Watching them shoveling w/shorts and s/s shirts was wierd! I didn't know where it was till later and I was shocked. You know I agree w/MA, you are too nice to him and he knows what he can get away with. Just remember to think of yourself and make sure you make some me time too. Sounds like you have a busy routine, be sure to give yourself some tlc and some down time to enjoy the things you like and make you happy.

MA-good luck w/the car. I do know that it's always more expensive if you were getting it worked on at the dealer. My hubby was actually needing a part for his van and the mechanic in our area told him where to go buy it himself and brought it to him so it was cheaper! It's always nice when you can form a good relationship w/a local mechanic. I was really sad when my uncle closed down his business, cuz that's a tough replacement to make.
Now that my daughter plays the flute, I rarely get a chance to play myself. On occasion, I'll get the opportunity when she asks me a question, but other than that, it's been a long time. I'm a little rusty too! One song I taught myself to play from hearing it on the radio as a kid was "THe Hustle". I used to play it all the time! My son has already signed up to play the saxophone next year and I remember very well the sounds that come out of beginners! lots of squeaks! Yikes! I don't want to sound like a bad mom, but I'm not putting much hope on his musical ability, but willing to give him a chance.

Alfie-so sorry to hear you had to wipe out your itunes! I'm not an expert on computers, but when I had virus' last year, I was able to save my stuff on a flash drive, I think that's what it's called. I can't imagine having to pay for itunes and downloading all those songs and then losing them. Do you still have them on your ipod? I'll ask my daughter about that too.

I took a look at my calendar and couldn't believe we are already at the end of the school year! My kids start early dismissal and they end next Thurs! Help me God! And that means we leave for LBI right after that AND my daughter leaves for Italy the week after that! I am flipping out!!!!!! I have so much to do in such little time, to get everyone ready. Meanwhile, finals are upon us and school trips and field days and b'day planning for my son! UGH!!!!! But, it's all good stuff so I'm not complaining, just flipping out!

ny my son already started his regents he had math today and he said it was hard. he has been working so hard i hope he passed. glad you had a good weekend and your daugther did well .

Hi ladies, I am exhausted. I had such a busy day. It was cold out too. We had our carnival up at school and I run the dunk tank, no I don't go in it, I just collect the money and the 2 fathers that when in the cold water to be dunked were blue afterwards. It was fun and the kids had a good time but I am exhausted. Came back home went to Dee's house because I called a charity to pick up all the clothes, all 20 bags or so, it was crazy. We started to clean the kitchen, his aunt and I and what a job, feels like we didn't even put a dent in it. Then, had soccer practice and I am now sitting exhausted on my coach. Mike is working late too. I lost 8.2 lbs so far so I have some good news about myself. Still didn't go down a size yet but I know I will.

Has anyone heard from raggies? I was going to call but I was hoping she would call or write someone. Let me know if anyone hears from her.

Well, before I pass out, I have to clean up a bit. Have a good night everyone. If anyone gets cable, 2 good shows on, True Blood on HBO Sunday's and Nurse Jackie on Mondays on Showtime, if you have Demand you should check them out. If you don't like vampires, skip True Blood but even Mike loved Nurse Jackie, good show.

in okla,texas,school gets out in may. why are you all still in school?when does your schools start? and when do they get out?

good morning ladies. guess what no rain in ny so far today it is about 55 degrees and it is suppose to go up to 70 not bad. i really dont like the hot weather. how are all you ladies doing today?
alfie schools here open in september and close at the end of june. i know down south they close in may and open in august. and dont worry about me its alot of hours but i accepted it as something i have to do. it only takes me about 10 minutes to get to one job to the other with out traffic but i do office work and i dont have to deal with any customers which i am very happy with. last nigth i had to tell the girl please train me in everything and dont worry i dont want your job i like my own dealership and have know plans on switching. she hasnt been training and she gives me simply things to do . i want the work where you have to think and it keeps you busy the hours go faster and you feel like you did something. you had to see her face when i told her i dont want her job i just need the extra money. she is a very nice girl but they are so unorganized. i also told her if she let me i can help her get things organized so things can be easier to find.

Good morning ladies. I am on early because I have to get a dye job at 10am and I am trying to do everything. I am so busy with the kids getting out at 11:15am they are walking home by themselves today, only up the block since I don't know if I will be back on time. I have to get ready for going to Atlantic City on Saturday for the 40th birthday of my friend Lauren and I have to make sure I have everything ready for Father's Day on Sunday where both my brother/sister are coming over with their families. Crazy! Plus, I want to go back to Dee's house and pack up some dishes/glasses and stuff because I can have someone pick them up instead of doing a flea market which I really didn't want to do. I don't want people in the neighborhood to see what she has in her house and I feel even more embaressed to sell her stuff. If it was my stuff, I wouldn't care but I don't want all the neighbors to see what she had. That's just me anyway.

Well, today is a nice day, went for my walk finally after I put the kids on the bus. It will probably be the last nice day, hearing more rain for the rest of the week and we have 2 more soccer games left, lovely, they will probably be cancelled. I hope next week and the coming weeks will be nice, I leave on June 27th and don't want to drive in the rain.

hey ladies i forgot to tell you a funny story. last night when i got home i was greeted by my bird standing on top of his cage. np one takes the birds out of thier cages except for me. i was looking at the cage and all the doors were close. there is a small door high in back of the cage. sparrow took the screws off the door hingers and got out. i asked everyone at home do you know the bird is out and they all did but no one would put him back in because he bites them. he you had to see the look on sparrow face when i asked him what he was doing. he told me that he was ok. that bird is so funny he always puts a smile on my face. the other night i had a glass of ice tea he climb on the glass took a sip now he was about six inches from my face he is looking at me and made the belching sound, he timed it so right birds dont belch like humans. sparrow picks up everything from hubby.
