Good morning ladies, I am really early, 7:45am to be exact. My kids get out early today, 11:15am so I want to see if I can run to Pathmark at 9am to get a few things. It's raining again here, what else is new? They are saying it's suppose to be a nice weekend, lets hope so because I am so tired of seeing rain. Plus, we have a soccer game tonight that I would like to get over with since it rained on 2 of them already.

GOOD MORNING LADIES, like roe said it is raining here again, i am tired of the rain. sorry i havent been on wedesday i had a meeting in nj and i was gone for the day and yesterday i couldnt get on something with my pc. meeting went well and yesterday was busy because i had two days of work to do. i picked up a part time job it is temporary but pays really well. i been going after work and i will work on the weekends.
roe i happy for you that school is over you poor thing you had a hard time this year hopefully next year will be better.
maryanne you still have no car? but thank god you have a good landlord.
aussie-gal i am so jealous of you going away on such wonderful vacations. good for you.
i am happy to hear chad life is on right track god willing it will stay like that. and tell raggsies i am prayering for her and her family.

Auntiep and Susie, where are you gals? We need

Gval, you asked about Cali's mom...Cali said
her hip break was a bad one and she'll have to
be in the hospital for 10 days at least and then
in a rehab facility for 6 to 8 weeks. This will
all be in Illinois. Cali's dad was still back
home in AZ the last I knew. He has his own
health issues and I don't know if he will be
able to go be with his wife or not. It's going
to be a rough time for all concerned.
Let's keep our prayers going.

Cali has an injured neck and is going to the
chiropracter for treatments. She said it's very
painful.

I haven't heard anything more from Raggs but she
did call Roe yesterday. Maybe I'll call Gary
tomorrow.

Hi girls!
Today turned out to be a pretty warm day and the sun came out late. Anyway, it's muggy so my hair is suffering.
My daughter had her dance dress rehearsal and she looked so grown up and beautiful, I couldn't believe how she's changed. Can't wait for the recital on Sunday. She had her Band Concert last night and they were terrific. Love when the band director selects popular songs so the kids feel happier to play. Did I ever tell you ladies that she's playing the same flute that I played when I was a kid? My parents bought it for me in 1972/3! It's in great condition, considering there were times I'd bang it against the wall of my bedroom when I had trouble w/a note! Today I met w/another mom who is a chairperson along w/me in the PTA so we could review the preparations we will be handling for the 8th grade graduation in 2 weeks. Should be fun......

Roe-you're such a sweetie to offer to take my kids!! Thank God one of my girlfriends is available to babysit.

Gval-good luck w/the new job! Hope it doesn't take too much out of your weekends. You need a break too, missy!

MA-guess I missed you! Sorry, I'm enjoying some quiet time while the kids are out w/daddy! They're at the church bazaar, I just want them to bring me some zeppoles! Yum! I've been a naughty girl this week w/the sweets, I'll have to suck it in big time for my dress tomorrow!

Aussie-lucky gal, travelling again!! Good for you, enjoy! My mom is taking my daughter to Italy for 1 month this summer. I am so happy for her! Wish I was going too....

Good Saturday morning to all. I stopped back a couple of times last night but I'd missed NY and Alfie and nobody else was here.

NY, how wonderful that your daughter is following in your footsteps with her music. Do you still play the flute, yourself? Best wishes to her at her dance recital.
Zeppoles....yummy! I'm so jealous! I haven't had one since St. Joseph's Day.

Well, I just finished watching 'Cash in the Attic' on the BBCA channel. It comes on at 6am on the weekend and at 9am on weekdays. I love to watch people finding antiques and treasures in their English homes and then watch what they sell for at the auctions. I love to listen to them speak with their British accents.

It's a little after 8:30am now and my landlord just left after our morning coffee. Guess I'll make some breakfast. I have some lucious strawberries. Maybe some french toast with strawberries and maple syrup. Mmmmm, yes that sounds like a plan.

Roe, do you think I should call Gary today? I know he's probably busy with the farm chores but I'm uncomfortable about bothering Raggs at her parents' all the time. At least I could leave Gary a voice mail and he could call me when he has time.

Hey, gals, I'm back. Just got a call from Raggs. She said her dad had been fighting going to the hospital but he was getting dehydrated and wasn't eating. They took him to his oncologist appointment and he was admitted to the hospital.
Raggs said it was very hard to get him into a wheelchair and then get him into the car. He's over 6 ft. tall. She was glad she had others there to help her. He refused to let her call 911 for an ambulance.

She said he's on oxygen 100% of the time now, even at home.
The nurses told her that he asked for some ice cream and ate 2 cups of it and took some water. It was the first nourishment he'd taken in a few days. He seems to be doing a little better.

I asked Raggs if she was taking care of herself and she said it was kind of hard on her yesterday but she's doing ok this morning. Gary is on his way to visit with her this weekend but he'll have to go home tomorrow. It's a 6-hr. drive each way for him. She said he told her that they've 'lost' 14 cows due to the heat.

To add to the stress, Thursday, a 48-yr. old man in their neighborhood barricaded himself in his home when police tried to issue him a warrant for aggravated stalking of a neighbor's 15-yr.old daughter. He'd been under a restraining order since early May for stalking her. He went to her school and tried to get her to accept a ride from him. He wrote a letter to her father and asked if he could date her. He sent her a sexy dress from a mail-order place and his return address was on it. The girl's father said that the man was constantly watching the girl when she left the house and he'd had to put up a privacy fence so he couldn't see over there. Spooky!

Anyway, when the police arrived at his door on Thursday with the warrant, he told them to leave him alone or he'd start shooting them. He then barricaded himself in the house and they had to bring in swat teams and threw a lot of teargas cannisters into the house. It turns out he'd been in the military and had a gas mask so the teargas wasn't bothering him. He held them off for 5 hours before they finally got him. He's being held without bond.

Raggs said it was really stressful for her dad because they could hear all the commotion and the firing off of the teargas. They were very relieved when it was over.

8) hey girls! It's Cali. Can somebody tell me where the heck the time goes? It is the middle of June already and I can't for the life of me remember when I was at happy hour but I know I haven't been back since.

First off, if you guys talk to Raggs, tell her I'm thinking of her. I will send her an email with some pictures - that always cheers her up. She sure has the activity happen around her, doesn't she? Must be those Floridians ... and I thought California's were odd.

Not sure if MaryAnn updated you guys (I'm sure she did) about my mom. She was in Illinois for my nieces graduation and she fell and broke her hip the night before she was scheduled to leave. She is doing well (at least sounds like she is) and was transferred from the hospital to rehab last night. She is hoping to be back in Arizona by the end of the month. That's pushing it - but she's determined. Thank you all for your prayers.

I have been down all week with a jacked up neck injury. I finally went to the chiropractor after MAD "posted" me the riot act - LOL - and I am feeling better. I go back on Monday and hopefully that will be it.

Not much racing been going on as it involves travel and Mike is not working full time as of now. I did race a few weeks ago and spun out and then "tipped" over on my side. Front shock bolt came out and there went the front end into the dirt. I was okay and Mike had me back out there for the main event. I have a video if anybody wants to see it. It's in Quicktime format - let me know and I'll email it to you.

Okay, I didn't want to get too wordy and long here but I guess I blew that one. Hope everybody is hanging in there. Mike & I are doing better and he has been going above and beyond for me (it's about dang time).

Hey sorry I haven't been on its been kinda hectic here. MA tell Raggs I know what she is going though with her dad. Both my parents are the same way. I can't get them to do anything. I have to call in back up. I'm praying for her dad. I worry about her. I know how it is. You take care of everyone else but your self. With her illness I'm afraid she is going to do herself a lot of harm. Tell her for me she needs to take a easy.

Cali- I know hip fractures can be bad, We were lucky when mom fell she didn't fracture her hip too. Carpracters here get out some weird tools, do they do that there.

If I make mistake excuse them. Sarah can't stand the light on in here. I'm going back over it to correct all the mistakes.
Gval, Susie how are things going? Hey Alfie,I forget what state you're in. I'm in Arkie and its hot, hot , hot. Aussie got all them sweaters out.

I've been having problems with the phone and DSL, I may type all this and something happens and I can't send it.

My brother went to get things for the bathroom, but he got a shower stall we have to take the door down and cut a bigger door in the bathroom to get it in. But it has seats in which is what I need for mom, dad, and Sarah.

I gotta go and tend to Sarah. I took her in for her sugar test the new doctor said her last test was okay he needn't do it. So I took Sarah in for nothing and it made her sick. Take care all, God bless, love auntiep

Thanks Marayann for updating us on raggies. I feel so bad for her. Sorry I wasn't online last night, had a soccer game and then my kids are always on the computer. Michael and his team won 6-1, we have 2 more games left.

Today, we went to the outlets in NJ, they are so nice and we bought alot of stuff for our trip. I bought myself Uggs, they are sandles and really comfortable. My son Michael bought alot of stuff and Joey is into sneakers, he bought another pair. Mike bought sneakers too, buy one get one free at Reebock. Love shopping at outlets.

Tomorrow is church and then breakfast at the Knights of Columbus, for $5 adults, $3 kids you get eggs, pancakes, and sausage, all you can eat, not bad.

Lets hope the weather is better tomorrow, sick of the rain.

Happy Flag Day! The weatherman's prediction of a 'nice weekend' was off. I woke up to pouring rain, AGAIN! BOO, HISS!! It has stopped right now but is still overcast.
My little critters were still out there, looking for their breakfast. I waited a while before putting anything out there so it wouldn't get soggy. Also waited to put my flag out. It finally let up about 9am, much to my landlord's delight since he was going on a motorcycle charity ride at 11am. He just left so I hope it stays dry for the ride.

Yesterday, I had a long-time friend of mine over for lunch in honor of his 59th birthday. It was too damp a day to eat outside so we had a 'picnic' in my kitchen. The food tasted just as good and 'NO ANTS or MOSQUITOS.
We had fried chicken, potato salad, coleslaw, baked beans, rolls and coffee. For dessert, his favorite, cherry-nut cake with cream cheese frosting. He didn't want candles but I insisted on at least one for him to wish on.

Since Michael lives in another town, and doesn't get to visit that often, he gave me my birthday gift early. It was a lovely blue comforter and sheet set. Also, a beautiful set of rosary beads (also blue) that he'd had blessed for me. Did you guess that blue is my favorite color?

It was a pleasant visit. We used to work together in the Florist Shop back in the '80s and have tried to stay in touch over the years. It's nice to get together with old friends and reminiese now and then. Keeps you from forgetting all the good times and precious moments you've had. It gives your spirits a big lift.

Well, that's my weekend. Today I'm just relaxing.

Roe, sounds like you had a great time shopping and at your son's game. Tell him 'congrats to him and his team'! They've really done well, haven't they?

Auntiep, glad to hear from you. Your new shower sounds great. I have one like that with the seat. My landlord rebuilt the bathroom for me while I was hospitalized all those months back in 2006. It has made life so much easier for me. Your mom and dad will love it. Hope Sarah is doing better and your phone gets fixed. Is your snake still lurking around? I'd be fudging my undies if I ever saw one in my yard.

Roe I'm glad you are out and about. It must be raining everywhere this year. We have had showers here this whole weekend. I made Rick put in my converter box so I could see our local station and weather alert.
Maryann when you remember don't the years just fall off ya and your that young person again. That is how it is for me when me and my friends get together.
I rewired my phone to the back bedroom but it still doesn't ring. At least (knock on wood) I can call out.

Sarah didn't sleep well and neither did dad. It is quit here for the moment and that recliner looks awful comfy. I think I'm gonna sit in it and relax.
